Holiness of heart and conduct

Holiness of heart produces holiness of conduct. When the Spirit of Holiness rids man of all unholiness...a life in Christ begins. Only the power of a resurrected Christ can cleanse the unbelieving heart from sin and unrighteousness. When God's cleansing power takes place in the heart...the fruit of holiness flows through the make-up and conduct of a believer in Christ.

Rom 6:21-22...What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness,

Hiding the Word of God in the heart

Scriptures in the Old Testament taught - the Word was to be "hid" in the heart so that Jewish people would not sin against God.

Psalm 119:11...Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

The Word of God was the Law and Commandments. The Torah was the first five books in the Bible. The 613 Commandments were the standard of God given to Jewish people to keep Israel in "obedience" to the God. In that day and hour before the death of Christ; before Grace flowed from the Cross at Calvary; and before the Holy Spirit developed the Church, the body of Christ...The commandments were "learned and lived" by the Jewish people as a act of faith in God. In order for Israel to be holy they were to learn, study, and meditate the Law and Commandments contained in the Torah. By doing such Israelite's were able to grasp and absorb the standards of God's Law - which forbid sin and sinful conduct. God's Law pointed out sin and told the recipient "to do" or "not to do" certain things that were outside of God's standard.

James 2:10...For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

If the Word was hid or absorbed into the heart it was able to keep man from sinning against the Law of God. Sin was and is a violation to the Law of God. The Law and 613 commandments given to Israel on Mt. Sinai were the greatest set of morals ever written...before Christ died. After the death of a Savior on the Cross....Grace came and allowed God's Holy Spirit to provide a moral standard of holiness much greater than the holiness of Law. It was the holiness of the Spirit of God that writes the Law of God - upon the the tables of a believing heart.

Hebrews 10: 15,16...Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

In the Old Testament Israel worked and hid the Word in their heart to keep the standard. In the New Testament we hold on to Christ and by doing such we live the standard of God...according to the Spirit of holiness. A blessing of the New Testament and the power of God's Grace. As the Apostle Paul stated,

Romans 6:14...For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under Grace.

Moses lifted the serpent - God lifted Christ

  • When Moses lifted the serpent to display God's deliverance from Egyptian religion and bondage - all of Israel knew God's operation and blessing was the greatest blessing in all the land of Israel. Great miracle and victory as Israel passed through the Red Sea - then came the giving of Law - as they entered into the land of Canaan!

  • When God lifted up Christ and displayed a Savior on the cross - He revealed to all the world the greatest blessing in the history of humanity. Great victory produced by the Grace of God thus flowed from Calvary.

John 3:14...And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Honor God

You're equipped by God to do right and live right. Right came down from Heaven in the person of Christ.Today right flows from the person of an exalted Christ who is back in Heaven.

Righteousness gives the believing heart the ability to honor God. Righteousness is enough power to keep you from dishonoring God. You're equipped with a God-given righteousness.

Righteousness flows from our Savior and flows into the soul. Morally the believer has the power to honor God in everyday life.

Christians honor God in everyday life. What a blessing! You're equipped! Bless God and bless people...with the same blessing God blessed you with. Be a witness for Christ.Tell others about the blessing of God's righteousness that gives you the power and strength to bring honor to God.

Redemption from Christ - on a personal level

Redemption is a personal thing between you and the Savior. Redemption deals with the believer and the believer's present tense relationship with God in Christ. A redeemed heart is a forgiven heart; a clean heart; and a heart that desires right living. In redemption...sins from the past are erased. Life in the present tense is a life in right-standing with God. Redemption is consciousness to the presence of Christ; and accountability in the holiness of the Spirit. Personal faith in Christ is a responsible life to Christ...on a daily basis. Redemption is received in personal forgiveness. Redemption is pardon from all past sin. Redemption is a new way of thinking because the heart and soul has been cleansed. Redemption gives the believer in Christ - a new confession.

...Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

The confession of redemption is heart-felt and flows from the Holy Spirit's witness in the heart. The confession of a sinner is not a confession of redemption found in the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Sin defeats redemption. Sin separates man from life. Sin and death have no place in redemption.

Romans 5:8-11...But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Atonement that flows from Calvary brings redemption to the human soul in the present tense. Atonement that flows from Calvary is not blanket coverage to sin, nor does Atonement cover future sin. Atonement is a "present tense blessing" found from personal faith in the suffering of a Savior. By His obedience are many made righteous. Redemption is the out flow of Calvary. Personal faith in Christ brings redemption into the human soul. Personal faith in Christ allows God to redeem, to pardon, and to justify. This is what it means to be Justified by the blood of Christ. Redemption saves the believing soul from the wrath to come. Redemption reconciles and saves man by giving hope and peace to the human soul.

Joy bubbles from within when the conscience is clear from the guilt of sin. Being happy is the confidence of the redeemed of Christ. Peace, joy, and happiness are the products of the redemptive work of Christ in the human soul. Redemption offers the believer in Christ a clean heart and the holy life. That's why scriptures teach, "by whom we have now received the atonement". The word "now" is a present tense word with no relation to a future tense covering of sin.

Redemption is present tense. Redemption is a personal blessing from God. Redemption makes people accountable to God in the present tense. Don't take redemption for granted to cover your future sin. Redemption will give you the power to cease from sin; to live right, and to do right. Redemption produces holiness of character. Redemption is responsibility to Christ. Redemption is a part of God's Word that condemns sin and never condones sin. Redemption blots out sin. Redemption makes you holy and right in the eyes of God. Redemption should never be taken lightly. Redeemed people want to make the long haul with Christ.

Redemption is deliverance. Deliverance is freedom from the bondage of sin. We confess redemption to "magnify" Christ as Savior and Redeemer. Redeemed saints have hope of going to Heaven. Those who are not redeemed have no real hope and end up in Hell. Some have been redeemed for 20 - 40 years and then go back into  fornication, alcohol, or adultery. Redemption will not automatically cover such style of living or sin that bringeth death to the human soul. If one dies in an unredeemed state that soul is Hell bound for 50 million years plus...whether they believed redemption covered their sins or not.  Sin melts away in redemption that brings forth the holy and eternal future. When sin is finished it bringeth forth death..

James 1:15...Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Death has no place in redemption. Redemption abolishes death and brings forth life in the Spirit of God. Redemption is in the "now". Redemption is on personal level. The human soul longs for redemption but sin keeps the unredeemed mind blind to the consequences of Eternal damnation. Redemption is found in the suffering of Christ. Redemption is found in the suffering of Christ. Redemption is found in the suffering of Christ. Without redemption the human soul is lost. Without faith in Christ its impossible to be redeemed. The redeemed of Christ have a testimony because they experience the witness of God in their soul.  The redeemed have a daily walk with God because they are cleansed from sin. The redeemed of Christ walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh. Personal redemption is crucial to your witness; crucial to your light; and crucial to the assurance of life beyond this life. The redeemed of Christ bring honor to God, not dishonor. The redeemed of Christ live by the power of God's Grace and do not disgrace Him. Let the redeemed of the Lord, "Say so"...because they "know" and "experience" personal redemption. That's why it says the conscience is "purged" from dead works .

Hebrews 9:14...How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Grace removes guilt from sin

The only thing in life that can remove guilt from the human conscience is the Grace of God. God speaks "pardon" to the human soul. Rest in the soul is experienced. Peace from God is made known. Guilt from all past sin is lifted when reconciliation is found in the redemptive work of Christ.

Conception of Christ - Robert Casey - 2013

When I recently purchased my nice new/used laptop I stumbled onto this excellent piece of art that was freshly hand drawn - by Mr. Robert Casey. Robert and I conversed about Christ. I asked if I could publish this nice piece on my Christian Blog. He said yes. So enjoy. I think it is so creative! Has a spot here. What a reminder.

God answers prayer

Someone believed and trusted that God is God.

What seems impossible to man can be made possible by God.

The power of impossible is not based on the prayer of a person. The power of impossible comes from the one in whom, the person prayed to.  Subjection to God Almighty. Subject to the authority of Christ.  God recognizes the belief and trust in your heart. Your trust, your belief, and your subjection...brings answered prayer from God Almighty.

Remember the faith of Elijah - prayer for rain
Remember the prayer of faith - that heals the sick
Remember - The prayer of a righteous man avails much because man trusts Christ

Faith in Christ brings answers to prayer. Reason?
God promised healing in the suffering of Christ
God said he would.
God is God.
It is written...in the Holy Scriptures
Let your requests be made known to God

God answers prayer. Someone believed. Someone trusted. Someone is subject to Christ. Jesus is the name above all names.

Faith in Christ brings answers to your prayers. Answered prayer has substance in your life.  God is concerned about you, your well being, and your witness to the lost. God answers prayer out of a - Father's love for His children.

God listens. God knows your heart. God understands your belief in Christ. The prayer of the righteous (God's children) availeth much. His eyes are on you. He watches over you and knows your need. He supplies because you believe and trust. You're in Christ. Your requests are not to big or to small...for God Almighty.

God answers prayer.

Righteousness fulfilled

Mat 3:15-17…And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased

Righteousness was fulfilled this day of John's Baptism of Christ. The Law was honored. Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and inaugurated into the Priesthood. An earthly Priesthood began...ministering truth to deceived Israel.

The glorious day of John's Baptism brought true moral righteousness to Israel. Jesus was 30 years old and had to be 30 years of age according to the holiness of the Law. This was necessary before Christ could minister in the Temple. Anointing (that signified God's ownership) allowed the Anointed One to minister true Torah....to backslidden Israel. Anointed One simply means, "Messiah" in Hebrew. Jesus fulfilled all righteousness required according to God's Law given to Israel. John baptized Jesus with water and the earthly ministry of Christ began. The promised Kingdom on Earth was presented to Israel for three years.

The perfect and sinless Christ was God's Promise for backslidden Israel to hear and convert. The King of Israel had come preaching the Kingdom was at hand. John's Baptism made Christ eligible to preach a righteousness that would exceed the righteousness of the Pharisee's and the Sanhedrin. The stage was set according to the perfect will of God. Thy King had come...as promised. The Anointed one spoken of by the Prophets was now ministering in the Temple and Synagogues, rebuking traditions of men, purging out old leaven, and establishing true righteousness in Israel. The promised Messiah had come preaching the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand!

John's Baptism of Christ was an inauguration to become an Earthly Priest ordained by God to minister to the needs of backslidden Israel. Righteousness was fulfilled and the ascension of the Holy Spirit like a dove proved such publicly. The Anointed One had come. The Son of God began His earthly ministry in obedience to Mosaic Law with perfect obedience to keep the Law.  The perfect and sinless Christ was God's Promise for backslidden Israel to hear and convert to true righteousness. The Anointed One came bringing such truth. The inauguration into the Priesthood after the order of Melchizedek had begun with John's Baptism. The Earthly Kingdom of Heaven was presented as righteousness was fulfilled.

The Black horse - the balances - and commerce during the Great Tribulation

The setting of the Black Horse? Christ opening the seals. The Raptured Church has escaped the Great Tribulation. What are the seals? God's Judgment upon the earth. What is the Rapture? God's final Judgment for the Church to escape the promised wrath of an angry God. The Holy Spirit stepped out and the Anti-Christ - the man of sin stepped in. The seals according to the Revelation of Christ are the ministering of God's wrath upon the Earth and upon humanity. The Black horse; him who sat there-upon, and the balances in his hand... represent a corrupt and tainted world commerce that continuously gets worse and worse through the Great Tribulation.

Revelation 6:5,6...And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see . And I beheld , and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say , A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

A one world government has formed under Satan's Dominion and the Anti-Christ.  A regimented Gentile ruled  kingdom has come together as the Beast spoken of in John's Revelation.  This one world government rules the military inertia around the globe. This one world government is a huge and magnified comparison to the Roman Empire during the days of Christ. This Beast will rule the political world, the financial world, the economical world, the business world, the religious world, etc. Global economy, commerce, and the business world will all be taken over and darkened under a one world dictator that hates God's elect, the Jew. Everything such as food, wealth, income, buying, selling, commerce, etc. will be will be under the dominion of the Beast Kingdom which is ruled by Satan and the Anti-Christ. Buying will be dictated by evil. Selling will be dictated by evil.  If man does not receive the "mark of the beast" he will not eat. Those who accept Christ will be beheaded.

Revelation 20: 4...and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image , neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ

Revelation 13:17... And that no man might buy or sell , save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

A false Gospel of the Kingdom on Earth will have been preached and established during this seven year Jewish Tribulation. This false Gospel will have informed people that the Kingdom had already come ...which in reality is a false proclamation that will mislead multitudes into rejecting the promised King and Kingdom of Christ. The Rapture of the Church has already taken place. Great Tribulation has started and continues to escalate immensely. The world at this time is without mercy, without compassion, without hope, and without God....under the dominion of the man of sin...the Anti-Christ

Matthew 24:14...And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come .

As wars, famine, and military inertia escalate around a globe of godless people.... tribulation like no tribulation in the history of humanity will occur. Bloodshed will pour into the streets and rivers. Water will become polluted from nuclear fallout. Limited food and limited money will cause revolt within society. The Beast Kingdom which is the whole Gentile world will turn against Israel (God's elect) during these years and all will gather together in force under Satan's dominion. This will initiate the battle of Armageddon. At this gathering at Armageddon Christ and all His saints (which are the Raptured Saints of God) will step foot on the Earth at the Mount of Olives. At this time Divine Judgment will take place as Christ takes vengeance upon those who rejected Him and His elect Israel during the Great Tribulation. Zechariah 14.

2 Thess. 1: 7-10...when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe

2 Timothy 4:1...I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

The end will be Judgment on Earth - in flaming fire. God will melt the elements with fervent heart. God will physically sanctify the Earth with fire as Christ takes vengeance upon those who rejected Him. The godless world will be judged and cast into everlasting punishment. Satan will thus be bound. The rest of humanity that believes in Christ will be sanctified and have hearts prepared to live with Christ for 1000 years. A resurrection will also occur here.

Revelation 20:4-6... And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image , neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands;and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished . This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Jesus (Yeshua) - chief cornerstone in Israel

As promised by God...Jesus came to present His Kingdom on Earth...according to the will of the Father. For 3 1/2 years Jesus presented the Promised Kingdom to Israel according to the Father's will. Jesus and the message of the promised Kingdom were "rejected" by Israel. Scriptures teach Jesus was the stone the builders would reject. The King was rejected. The Kingdom message was rejected. As a result of Israel's rejection of the Messiah - Jews were dispersed and scattered around the globe.

As a result of Israel's rejection and Judgment from the Father... Jesus became the monumental cornerstone of Israel to be recognized around the globe. The crucifixion of Christ was God's cornerstone set into place. Jesus the cornerstone of God's great structure and foundation...will always be noticed and recognized. More importantly... all other stones will be set in reference to this initial corner stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure. The Gospel message of Christ's death burial, and resurrection has since became the vehicle God uses to reflect the chief cornerstone in Israel. Christ the head of the body and structure is God's plan for humanity. The great commission about Christ! How precious are those who carry the Gospel message throughout the highways of the earth! Jesus made reference to these highways in accordance to the Jews scatted around the globe.

Matt 22:9-10... Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Making Christ known around the globe is God's vehicle. Preparing people from every nation for the Rapture. Preparing for the marriage. Preparing for the Bride and Bridegroom. The Church and Israel uniting! Christ with all the raptured saints returning to Israel to set up the Kingdom! Israel rejected their Messiah. Jews were dispersed around the globe but the cornerstone was set! The Gentiles who were no people...became the vehicle God used to reach out to His elect Israel. Dispersed and scattered God still reaches out with mercy and love... to gather the Jew from the four corners of the Earth. He uses people to proclaim Christ. Therefore the Gospel according to the Scriptures...makes Christ known.

1 Peter 2:6-8...Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Jesus is coming...William E. Blackstone

William E. Blackstone (1841-1935) would be the first to disclaim credit for any of his achievements. Blackstone wrote one of the most popular books on prophecy, simply entitled: Jesus Is Coming. Over 1 million copies have been printed since the book was first published, and it has been translated into at least 47 languages. Because of his humble nature, Blackstone would only use his initials W.E.B. as the author.

This book was referred to the writer of this Blog by Brother Lindsey in 1989. Contains a wealth of knowledge for the Bible student; and coincides with everything Brother Lindsey teaches.

The reason life in the Spirit is greater than life in the flesh

Hebrews 4:12-14...For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

The Word of God and Death are the only (2) things that can separate the soul and spirit - from the physical body. Let's examine separation more closely. The Word of God morally transforms the soul and spirit when  Salvation and forgiveness are found through belief in Christ. Forgiveness is found. The body is no longer governed by the flesh...but by the Spirit of God's Holiness. Thinking is transformed. Behavior is transformed. Conduct is transformed. Why?
"The Word of God that "separates" the inner man from the physical make-up of man...is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Right becomes the object because Christ is within. Moral transformation is made within man's being because Christ is God and He has power to change man inwardly and morally. This is Bible Truth. Not Philosophy! Not religion!"
Bible Truth is denied and misunderstood...but clearly speaks of power that morally transforms a sinner into a saint - by the Grace of God. Here's a picture of how God's Word "separates" the inner make-up of man from the outer part of man's physical make-up.

Hebrews 4:12-14...For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

    • The human make-up consists of three parts.  Body, soul and spirit.
    • The physical body is controlled and governed by the soul and spirit.
    • The soul is man's power to choose and decide.
    • The spirit is man's eternal make-up whether lost or saved.
    • The inner part of man is "regenerated" when Christ and personal forgiveness are found.
    • The Spirit of God's Holiness becomes the governing part of man when Christ and personal forgiveness are received.
    • When forgiveness is found...flesh no longer rules the physical body. God's Spirit is greater

Life in the Spirit is experienced by a believer in Christ - when the inner part of man is redeemed and washed by the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb. The Word of God "separates" the unsaved soul and spirit from the body and morally cleanses and changes such. Salvation by the Spirit of God thus "overcomes" the flesh. This is the reason why - life in the Spirit is greater than life in the flesh. A spirit led man keeps his eyes on Christ. A spirit led man doesn't "ever seek" but has "found" Christ. Spirit life is in harmony with Bible Truth. Experienced! Not altered by human opinion. Flesh gravitates to the ways of man. Spirit life depends on the ways of God. Not equal...God's Spirit is greater than the flesh! Why? Because God is God. He has power over human make-up.

God's Word has power to separate a sinner from sin. Why? Right is given from above. Right overcomes wrong. For the first time in life a believer in Christ has "power to do right" because the Spirit of Christ came in. Jesus takes over the child of God. The Spirit rules that life. Prove those things acceptable to God. The flesh is subject to the Spirit of God. God's Spirit of holiness is greater than the flesh. Why? The same Spirit of Holiness that rules a child of God is the same Spirit of Holiness that raised Christ from the dead.

Romans 1:4... And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

    In Christ...your position in life

Being in Christ is the best position you can be in...on this side of Heaven. Conscious to His presence. Subject to His authority. Obedient to do His will. In any country. Around any religion. Your whole life...until you leave this world. Recognizing and being subject to Christ.

Some people will tell you...you can't stay in Christ all the time. God says you can. The Bible says you can. Staying in Christ is the blessed life of a Christian. Staying Christ is an obedience regulated by your faith in Him. Staying in Christ will allow you to deal with every circumstance in life with confidence that Christ will provide your need.

Faith puts you "in" Christ. Faith keeps you in Christ. Faith allows you to be faithful to Christ...every minute, every hour, every day...with joy, peace and contentment. The Holy Spirit provides every ounce of power needed for a faithful man to have a holy heart. Unfaithfulness to Christ puts you on the outside looking in. Being in Christ is being on the inside looking out. The best life is to be inside of Christ (under His hand) looking out. Keep it that way and be blessed.

Holiness is the essence of being in Christ. Unholiness is not. Don't let the ways of the world rob you from contentment and peace that comes from being Christ. You are given a holy heart when your sins are forgiven. Live a holy life and "stay" in Christ. Don't weave in and out of Christ. Very dangerous. When you're in Christ you will live, act, and behave like a Christian. Don't let anyone or other religions tell you otherwise. A clean heart is a holy heart. A holy heart is the heart of those in Christ.

The holiness of a child of God is the blessing found from being in Christ. Christ is a person. His power given to you is enough to keep you on the mark every step of the way through life. The holy heart and the holy life are found when you're "in Christ". Keep yourself in Christ. Keep yourself subject to His presence. Recognize what He did for you 2000 years ago but most of all recognize His person, His power, and His presence "now". Staying in Christ is not automatic. Unfaithfulness steers you out of Christ. Staying in Christ requires faithfulness and obedience...from you.

Being in Christ and keeping yourself in Christ is being a true Christian. What a great position to have! Try it for 30-50 years and then you'll see what contentment really is! Stay in Christ and tell the world about Christ. He is coming soon. When you're in Him...you're always ready! Even when you're asleep! What a great position to be in! What a great position to have in life!

    The answer

Wrote a song yesterday titled, “The answer”. Lyrics are simply “trusting Jesus” in repetitive melody. Sing it often as the peace flows. Planning on getting Brother John and Brandon to put some instruments and expertise behind it. Keeps the mind focused. Don’t know how, why, where, when, or who it effects…all I know is. Trusting Christ is the answer to life’s circumstances, situations, adverse conditions, woes, ups, downs, sicknesses, etc. Jesus is God. Trust Him. PS...Thank all of you from around the globe for stopping by. Brother Lindsey would be honored. Our ministry is for Christ and for you. Use this Blog site as a tool to learn from. It's for you.

    "Thank you - Jesus"

Woke this morning thanking Jesus in my sleep. A lot going on - in and around - my life. More than I can mention. Thankful for the hope I have in the future. Thankful for the blessing of Christianity in the present tense. Thankful He hears and answers my prayers. Thankful He gets me through the obstacles and afflictions in life.  Thankful to be healthy. Thankful He gives me what's needed to stay on the mark in a cold dark world. Thankful for a good Christian Blog site like this one (that now goes around the globe daily). Thankful He tears down racial divide. Thankful members of His International and omnipresent body are united in Him. So much to be thankful for. All I can say is,"Thank you - Jesus. "Thank you - Jesus. "Thank you - Jesus". PS...Thank you all around the globe for visiting the Churches on Trial. We appreciate it!

    Lifting up holy hands

A sense of joy and happiness came to my spirit the other day. It was joy about prayer, my life in Christ, and contentment in the Christian life. These hands went up in the air, with the mouth it was, "Thank You Jesus". Then the verse came to mind.

1 Tim 2:8...I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

A letter of appreciation to you

I began this Blog several years ago for the cause of Christ. I carried on Brother Lindsey's doctrine, ministry, and Theology for 20+ years...and still do today. For the past couple of years I've been experiencing ups and downs in the job-place...but because of God's Grace I endure. Haven't written much lately due to certain circumstances in life...but this letter of appreciation is to you the readers. I appreciate your participation and research at this site. Keep up the good work!

Churches on Trial goes around the globe for Jesus with much global attention. 30-40 people a day. Brother Lindsey wanted this material scattered around the world and requested such before he passed. God opened the door and the sound doctrine of Christ and the Gospel goes out and reaches hearts and souls for the Glory of God. God has made a way...but I appreciate you coming back and using this library and archive for the cause of Christ. That's what this Blog is for.

Keep Rick Roehm in your prayers...and remember I appreciate you sharing Christ and God's Word with me. Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you...the world audience for the Gospel of Christ that I preach. Keep the faith and study God's Word. There's plenty here for you...and much more to come.

    With love,
Rick Roehm, writer, Blogger, preacher...and servant for Christ.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord (God's opinion)

Greater works and greater blessings are for the child of God or members of the body of Christ. These are "good men" made good by Christ. Reason? Because Christ went to the Father in His ascension. Greater blessings mean that a Christian can have a better life than David had. How is this so? When Jesus died, rose from the dead, and ascended to the Father...He sent His Holy Spirit to give the believer (members of His body) a better life. Men are made good as a result of moral change that flows from the Spirit of God. This operation from God is how God governs His members. He provides victory over sin which is something David "didn't have". A better blessing. A greater blessing. A goodness that is bestowed upon the human soul and human character. To be ordered by God is to be subject to His Holy presence...with realization of the change that flows from the shed blood of Christ for personal forgiveness. How blessed! How honored! How great is the power of the living Christ that makes men good in the eyes of God.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord...Psalms 37:23

Keep the Bible in proper context

By keeping the Bible in context you are "rightly dividing the Word of Truth". Right division of the Bible allows you to learn, develop a strong faith in Christ, and eliminate future confusion. Much confusion comes from not learning the Bible in proper context. Confusion hinders the child of God from building a good basis of faith. Thus the spiritual walk with God can be shipwrecked, erred from, or departed from due to frustration...caused from confusion. Learn the Bible in context. Learn about Jew and Gentile. Learn about Law and Grace. Learn about the Church and Israel. By doing such you will do yourself a favor and the Holy Spirit will reveal, enlighten, and bring understanding to your mind and thinking process. The Bible will never mislead you unless it's taken out of proper context. Above all things meditate the Word, study various periods of time and how they apply to the Church and/or Israel, learn about Christ and don't mix everything up. Eliminate possible confusion. Give no place to the Devil. Keep you mind, soul, and strength Christ centered. Learn to rightly divide God's Word by keeping it in context. The Holy Spirit will teach you and confirm "truth" you your soul. Eliminate the author of confusion the Devil...and let Jesus be the author and finisher of your faith. Every eye on Him. All your trust in Him. Learn what God said and is saying about Christ. Use the Word right. Be thankful for a privilege the world doesn't have. Be blessed from keeping the Bible in proper context. Lifetime homework assignment!

The soul and spirit of man. Eternally existent.

The human make-up of man's being consists of three parts: body, soul, and spirit.

The body is the physical make-up of man's being; the soul is the mental make-up and the power of man's being that chooses and decides; and the spirit is the eternal existence of man's being.

The soul and spirit of man never die. Both the soul and spirit are eternally existent. The mind and conscience which stem from these two parts of man's being will never die. Both are eternal. Will man remember his past in Heaven; or in Hell? Yes. Reason? The mind and conscience of man never ceases to exist. Even after the body is buried and goes back into dust. Both the soul and spirit, are eternally existent with thinking, memories, and consciousness to eternity.

The unsaved soul will be tormented in Hell for eternity. The saved soul will have perfect peace in Heaven with Christ for eternity. Since Calvary... all the saints of God that have died with redemption found in Christ... have experienced eternal life in Heaven with Christ. Of course all those who have died without redemption have experienced eternal death in the torments of Hell's Fire.

If you ever wondered about the physical body in physical death? The the physical body goes back to the dust of the earth. The physical make-up of man's being is "glorified by the Grace of God" like Christ's body was glorified after His death on the cross. Scriptures teach Christ was glorified and had flesh and bones (without blood), ate fish and honey, and even showed the pierce marks in His hands. Luke 24, Philippians 3

The glorified man (body, soul, and spirit) spiritually unites with Christ in Heaven awaiting return to earth to establish the promised Kingdom of Heaven. When Christ returns a second time all the saints of God will be with Him as it is written. Zechariah 14, 1 Thess. 3, Jude

Heaven is an eternal place where there are many mansions. Christ resides in Heaven now. Jesus called Heaven paradise. Paradise is found in eternity where time does not exist. It's termed as the city of the living God in Hebrews 12. All the souls and saints of God are there now. These who return with Christ to earth are worthy to reign with Christ as Kings and Priests for a thousand years. Then Heaven comes down from above and takes over the earth. Time ceases to exist.

All redeemed souls are eternally blessed and have the contentment of the Christian life on earth before they die. After they die the soul and spirit of man thus resides in Heaven with the enthroned Christ until Christ returns a second time...with all His redeemed saints.

    One little sin

One little sin brought death on the entire human family
One little sin separated man from God
One little sin brought guilt and shame upon the human conscience
One little sin took man out of harmony with God
One little sin is enough to send a man to Hell
One little sin can be excused and then what?
One little sin doesn't seem like much in man's eyes
One little sin caused God to send His son to bleed and die as Savior of the World.

This one little sin Adam and Eve committed changed the whole course of humanity. When God promised to send Christ He meant that big things would happen. Christ would thus restore man with what Adam lost. One little sin caused God to do something that now changes the course of humanity.

It's called Salvation by the Grace of God. So great a Salvation that fallen man can be morally changed to have a clean heart! Live a clean life! And do right in the eyes of God. How? Through faith and trust in God's promised Savior for personal forgiveness. God can wipe your slate clean and keep it clean by the power of Salvation.

Beware of one little sin. It can do a lot of damage. Adam and Eve found out the hard way. In Christ you can avoid such grief. Remember one little sin, two little sins, three little sins, four little sins, five little sins, ...where does it stop?

With Christ. Get into Christ now and be delivered from the bondage of sin. Why deliverance? One little sin, two little sins, three little sins four little sins, five little sins? Christianity is a better life. Why? Christ delivers and gives you the power to quit sin. Greater is Christ! Glory! Don't Grieve God with sinful activity! Christ will help you to, "quit". Christ has enough power to change the course of humanity. Why not start with you. In the presence of Jesus sin must leave. Then its no more one little sin, two little sins, three little sins four little sins, five little sins? Christianity is a better life based on the holy heart and holy life. Glory to Jesus who is greater than sin!

    Remember the forgotten

The fatherless, the widow, those in bonds (jail or prison) or perhaps one with special needs. Are they forgotten or looked over?

These people are important in the eyes of God. They are kept in memory by your love and your consideration. God honors your prayers. God acts on your belief and trust in Christ. Your faith, your prayer, your love for fellow-man, and your concern for people…counts…in the eyes of God.

The fatherless, the widow, those in bonds (jail or prison) or perhaps one with special needs. Are they forgotten or looked over?

James 1:27…Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Hebrews 13:2…be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares

Hebrews 13:3…Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them: and them which suffer adversity
Love reaches out. Think about it.

    The nature of the Beast

God showed up! Victory in Jesus! The following Blog was prompted about an hour ago by my dear Brother Howard who is a trucker that encountered a homeless lady this morning in a truck stop where he had stopped to shower. She was huddled in a corner booth in a video setting with two sacks of belongings awaiting sunrise. Howard had and urge from the Spirit of God. Howard gave her what he had in pocket. She was touched, thanked Howard, and disappeared. After showering, He looked at the TV and a preacher was ministering Christ. He said to himself "way to go Howard you blessed someone". He was suddenly interrupted as God said to him, No Howard..."I blessed you".

    The nature of the Beast

In the realm of a pleasure mad world outside of Christ there is a Beast that lurks and lives, and watches over people with a close eye. This Beast is "crazed with moral insanity". The nature of this Beast is witnessed around the globe in the lives of people who are void of Christ, without hope, and helpless to sin and self. This Beast I speak of grows as "we" await the Rapture of the Church. This Beast is gaining strength and power as it feeds on it's prey of those destitute and empty of the person of Christ. Our adversary the Devil nurtures this Beast with adultery, sexual immorality, greed, poverty, jealousy, drugs, alcohol and anything that causes people to remain empty and void of God's Holy Spirit. The nature of this Beast is ruthless and without compassion upon any human soul for any reason. The nature of this Beast will take a human life a child or adult...in the twinkling of and eye with no remorse. This Beast with no emotion will starve out and watch a hungry person do without while eating $5000.00 meals. The nature of this Beast has no feelings for anything, or any person, but I, me, or mine. The Devil, the Anti-Christ, the false prophet and all the powers of darkness from the pits of Hell are joined in fellowship with this great and terrible Beast. This Beast is religious. This Beast is political. This Beast works through economic conditions. This Beast is subtle. This Beast is haughty. This Beast lives within natural law, catastrophic conditions, the weather, or the deformity of a child. This Beast feeds principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places. What is the nature of the Beast? Look around and you will see "the beast" as it forms and develops in these latter days.

Revelation 13:1...and I stood upon the sand of the sea and saw a Beast rise up out of the sea

"Find Christ, today. Don't wait! Turn from the Beast and this present world crazed with wickedness. Take hold of Christ while He is near. Never let go of Him. Let Christ take hold of you. Christ is safety and help. Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Christ is our hope. Christ is our Peace. Christ is our future. In Christ the wicked one touches you not! Beautiful way of life. Glory! He's alive! Happy Easter!

The work of the Holy Spirit

At the Churches on Trial it is our desire to help others to see the operation and work of God 's Holy Spirit in a fast paced world that involves many distractions. Documents are compiled, written, and archived at this site as a library for God to teach people (around the globe) what the Holy Scriptures teach about such Spiritual work and operation. The links stored in the below archive are focused primarily on the work of the Holy Spirit "in and upon" the human soul...especially in and upon those who trust Christ for personal Salvation and personal forgiveness from sin.

    1.   Did you know the Holy Spirit "testifies?"
    2.   How Christ ministers to man
    4.   The ministry of the Holy Spirit
    5.   The power of the Gospel message "calls"
    6.   The Holy Spirit deals with the negative side of life
    5.   Are you "led" by the Spirit of God?
    7.   "Born into" the family of God
    8.   What takes place when a sinner is "cleansed" from sin?
    9.   Forsaking sin
    10.  Are you God's property?
    11. Sin doesn't live here anymore
    12. The work and ministry of the Holy Spirit defined
    13. The "inner and outer" work of the Holy Spirit
    14. People don't "live" to be sanctified
    15. Sinful men are "criminal" in the eyes of God
    16. Does the Holy Spirit have "full sway" of your life?
    17. The promise of my Father (pt.1)...a study of two baptisms

    Did you know?

The ministry and work of the Holy Spirit :

    Convicts the unbeliever of sin
Makes Christ known in the heart of man
Seals those who trust Christ with an initial down payment
Regenerates those who repent and find forgiveness in the death of Savior
Baptizes believers into the body of Christ
Puts a moral witness into the heart of a believing soul
Leads and guides the child of God in righteousness
Sanctifies the saved believer from the still existing Old Adam
Makes intercession for the saints of God
    Makes men witnesses for Christ
Holds back the AntiChrist until the Rapture of the Church

The above operations of the Spirit of God are just few of many reasons why Christ sent the Spirit of Truth into the world. Christ told the disciples before His ascension to Heaven that He would send "another" comforter. This Comforter, the Holy Spirit that Christ sent under the blessing of the New Testament...has an ongoing ministry and operation that "works" and is "made manifest" at present through the preaching of the Gospel message. The Gospel has power to morally change, deliver, forgive, and rid man of sin and unholiness. When the Gospel is preached the Holy Spirit is working on behalf of God. The Gospel is God's method of reaching sinners and extending enough mercy for unsaved men to "turn to Christ". The ministry and work of the Holy Spirit is "behind" the preaching of the Gospel with all power and authority. All for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Christians, hold fast to your profession of faith

Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith…without wavering…Hebrews 10:23

    Sealed with the Spirit
    Witness in the heart
    Confession with the mouth
    Profession in the life

Represent Christ with a clean heart and a holy example. Don’t waver.

Be thou an example of believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity…1 Timothy 4:13

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ…2 Corinthians 5:20

You’re an ambassador for Christ in a world of ungodliness an unholy living. Represent Him with honor in truth. Never dishonor Him. The Spirit of Truth is your guidance and integrity. Your heart is clean. Your tongue is clean. Your lifestyle is clean because Christ made you that way. You’re in Him and represent His moral character in a present evil world. Represent Christ with Grace and never disgrace His Holy name. You’re a professional Christian so don’t waver in your faith and trust Him to be fully equipped as a representative at all times. Your profession as a Christian will give account to God at all times.

Hold fast to your faith in Christ without wavering, be blessed, and bless others. You have everything needed to do such work and ministry. You have the blessing of the Spirit, His witness within, the confession in your mouth, and the profession in your life. Use it for the glory of Christ. Be a professional Christian…according to God’s Standard. Don’t waver!

    The person of Christ…"now".

The person of Christ the invisible God..in whom we place our faith. Getting beyond the death of Christ takes us to a place of faith….not by sight. Faith gets beyond the suffering Savior and takes to a place of resurrection and exaltation. The resurrection of Christ from the tomb is hard to fathom in human intellect. Only faith can be placed in the evidence not seen.

Everyone knows what Christ did 2000 years ago…but what’s Christ doing now, present tense today from His Throne of Grace? Are you in Christ today? Is Christ in you today? What about having His witness in your heart? What about the power of Salvation in your soul and body? What about being, living, and walking like children of God? Let’s examine the person of our enthroned Christ and His effect upon the heart and life of a child of God. Christ, In whom…In whom…In whom…

In whom we have…redemption even the forgiveness of sins
In whom we have…obtained an inheritance
    In whom…we trusted
    In whom…we believed
In whom…we are “sealed” with the Holy Spirit
In whom we are…builded together as a habitation of God through the Spirit

Christ is a living Savior…in whom we have and in whom we are new creatures in Christ. We are His workmanship “created in Christ Jesus”. The Bible says “In Him” we live, move, and have our being. As you have received Christ, “walk in Him”. There is no condemnation to those who are ”in Christ”. In His person. In HIs character, and in His make-up. We are members of His holy body. By whom we have access through faith… into the power of God’s Divine Grace.

Christ is a living personality seated at the right hand of the Father. Christ is alive! Now! Christ makes new creatures now! Christ is with the Father now! By Christ all things consist. Christ in you “proves” you are made new by God. You have hope when Christ is in you and you’re in Christ. You have hope and are without condemnation when you’re in Christ. Don’t walk in the flesh. Walk in the Spirit. Walk in Christ and let Christ live though your character and make-up. Prove what is acceptable to Him.

We serve a risen Savior who is Lord of our lives. Chris has all power over the flesh! Christ has all authority over sin! As many as are “led” by Christ, these believers are definitely children of God. Christ is alive and keeps our hearts pure and right. He is able. He does because He is…God. It’s the person of Christ that produces holiness of heart and holiness of conduct in the child of God’s state of being and present life on earth. Without faith its impossible to have Christ. Without Christ its impossible to please God.

Christ in you is your ” future hope”…if you keep and don’t depart from faith in Him. His person is morally powerful! His person is so powerful that a sinner can be made and saint of God. So powerful that a believer can live holy and right! Through committment Christ will “keep” you. It’s His person that forgives and morally changes the human soul. It’s His person that enacts and produces holiness of character in you.

It’s all about Christ “in whom” we have so great a Salvation that the world often misunderstands. Christ “in whom” we are saved and changed. Christ “in whom” we are blessed by the power of His Holy Spirit. Christ “in whom” makes us witnesses in all the world to glorify Him and bring honor to His Holy name. Let the name of Christ be known “in all the world!”

In whom we have…redemption even the forgiveness of sins
In whom we have…obtained an inheritance
    In whom…we trusted
    In whom…we believed
In whom…we are “sealed” with the Holy Spirit
In whom we are…builded together as a habitation of God through the Spirit

Don't forget to use our "Simple System of Theology"

This Simple system of Theology (in side-bar) is a God-given system that originally started with Brother Lindsey. It was developed to help people to learn the Bible. Having studied Brother Lindsey's ministry and Theology for over two decades God helped me to develop the system that is now posted at this site...for public ministry. Brother Lindsey "freely" published his material and his last request was to scatter it. I carry on that request today as God has opened doors around the globe. We are here to "scatter" the ministry that Brother Lindsey left behind. The System of Theology is being developed to assist preachers and  teachers to reach the world for Christ and to teach sound Bible Truth.

    What a Christian is not

    Christians are not liars
    Christians are not cheaters
Chirstians are not drinkers of alcohol or strong drink
    Christians are not unrighteous
    Christians are not unholy
    Christians are not stealers
Christians are not any single denomination
    Christians are not unbelievers
    Christians are not proud
Christians are not haters of men
    Christians are not homosexual
Christians are not adulterers or fornicators
    Christians are not sinners

Can a Christian commit any of these above acts? Yes. Is He still a Christian if he does? No. Here's why.

    • A truthful man can lie...but if he lies he is no longer a truthful man.
    • An honest man can steal...but if he steals he is no longer an honest man.
    • A sober man can drink strong drink or alcohol...but if he drinks strong drink he is no longer sober.
    • The same goes for a Christian. A Christian can sin...but if he sins against God he is no longer a Christian.

Christians are not sinners. Christians are not children of the Devil. Christians are children of God and born of the Spirit. Christians are holy and live right because they are "new creations" created by Christ Jesus. Christians do have an advocate for sin, Jesus. "If" Christians do sin they can confess their sins and God will pardon, forgive, and cleanse...again...but the fact of the matter is Christians don't have to sin. They have God-given power to live and do right...All they need is to be taught right. Christians are not religious sinners or part time believers.

The Bible doesn't condone Christian's to sin. The Bible condemns sin and so does Christ. Christians shouldn't sin against God. Christians are saints of God born of the Spirit of God. A Christian is not ruled by sin...but by the power of Divine Grace. Grace is greater than sin. Christians are saved by Grace. Christians obey God because the power of God is greater than sin. Christians are not ashamed in the eyes of God. The heart is made clean and redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. Christians do things pleasing to God. Christians obey God. Christians are morally changed by God's Grace.

Let judgment begin with you...because Christians are not what man determines. Christianity is determined by your faith in Christ and God's operation upon the human soul.

1 Peter 4:16-18...if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

    Who are the Brethren?

Brethren are brothers and sisters in Christ. United with God by the Spirit of holiness. Holiness of heart and conduct are the "fruit" of this blessed union made with Christ, the King of King's and Lord of Lord's. One with God and separate from the world, the flesh, and the Devil. Sin has no dominion over the Brethren of Christ because the Holy Spirit "sanctifies" these members of Christ's body from the power of sin. Becoming a Brother or Sister in Christ is why Christ is not ashamed of calling these personal members of His body..."Brethren".

Hebrews 2:11...For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Holy Brethren are "now", "on this side of Heaven". The Brethren are sanctified holy...thus eligible to partake in the Heavenly call. The Brethren acknowledge the enthronement of Christ...and remain subject to His authority and presence in their life.

Blessed week-end of reunion and revival for the Churches on Trial

As I traveled 350 miles North this past week end to the state of Michigan I had the wonderful privilege to preach, fellowship, and meet with the original founder of the Churches on Trial radio broadcast. This gentleman was Jim Elsman who had a vision many years ago to publicize and offer Bible "answers" to the general public in Detroit. The Churches on Trial was very popular radio broadcast in Michigan in the late 1980's. It is also what prompted this writer to originate this Blog... 3 1/2 years ago and continue a ministry which today goes in the Spirit via Internet around the globe.

The original Churches on Trial was a call in talk show in Detroit Michigan that allowed Brother Hubert Lindsey much, much air time with the public ...to provide Bible answers for callers with questions concerning the issues of life. The Bible was the only authority used to provide these answers. Jim Elsman was a lawyer who hosted the show and mediated public calls to Brother Lindsey for Biblical answer and clarification. Thousands of people were blessed by the ministry with rich Bible Truth.

After having an invitation to preach Sunday at Alpine Valley Church in Highland Michigan, Pastor Jim Denton also invited Jim Elsman to visit the service. When I came to Michigan I visited with and also invited Brother Bryan Harley to come to Alpine Valley for the service. Jim Elsman and Bryan Harley were both acquainted with Hubert Lindsey in earlier years through the Churches on Trial radio broadcast and the local Church in Birmigham where Brother Lindsey pastored.

We all joined at Alpine Valley Church Sunday in the Spirit and rejoiced in the Lord! The service was anointed and filled with the Spirit of God. A reunion was made between men of God who were separated by miles and time...but God made a way for reunion and revival. The fire was re-ignited! Christ was honored and magnified! We all had lunch together at the Church afterwards. What a fellowship! What a joy Divine! Worth sharing at the Churches on Trial Blog which is a continuation of something God created 25 years ago and still lives today through men of God that care. That care I mention...about a ministry that God established 25 years ago, is still carried on today.

The Churches on Trial is still reaching people and teaching people God's Word. The Churches on Trial is here to solidify and to establish men with a good foundation of faith in Christ. This ministry lives because God is behind it with authority! His touch is still enough to save souls and His truth is still enough to fortify people's faith in Christ. That's why the Churches on Trial continues. God is with us. His fellowship helps us to help others. We love you. Thank you for stopping by the Churches on Trial. We're here for you...by the love of Christ.

    Lighting fires for Jesus

Lighting fires for the Lord is a good Christ centered work. How beautiful are the feet of them that bring good news about Christ! The good news brings "fire" to the heart and life of people who hear about who Jesus is. The preacher lights the fire and God kindles the flame. Jesus is like a  refiner's fire who purges man from all dross. The Holy Ghost and fire burns in the hearts of men revealing Christ in person and in power. The messenger reveals Christ and stirs the human soul. Then sanctifying fire from God burns and purifies man from things that are not of God.Preachers light fires but the Holy Ghost brings purity to the soul, through fire from Heaven. May the fire from the Spirit of God everlastingly burn hot...purging and purifying man from all that's undone. Glory to God in the highest as the fire from the Holy Ghost burns hot within the human soul. Glory to God in the highest in the face of Christ.

You can stay on the right path with Jesus

The "world system" that we are exposed to will lead us down the wrong path. The Holy Spirit is the only one I know of that will lead us down the right path. That's why the Bible teaches us to walk in the Spirit...not in the flesh.

    Our simplified System of Theology

In the sidebar (on homepage) this Blog offers a "simple system of Theology" for you.  Each subject is taken from the Statement of Faith at our local Church at Williamsburg. These condensed and archived subjects are placed in systematic order to help others to learn the Bible easily through proper order and context. God gave me this system many years ago and has allowed me to write and publish this system via Internet over past few years.

Our Statement of Faith Statement of Faith...(pt. 1) Statement of Faith...(pt. 2) has 22 subjects of which five are archived and published on our homepage. Brother Lindsey's timeless messages and numerous Bible teachings have prompted this system of Theology to be published around the world...for the cause of Christ.

We have come a long way and still have a long way to go. This work of the ministry is done for the furtherance of the Gospel that Brother Lindsey and I both preach for the cause of Christ. My this ministry be a blessing to all who come to it and enjoy it's great value and worth.

God bless you all and to Christ be the glory!

    The Holy Scriptures

As a preacher of the Gospel and teacher of the Bible the subject of this exposition is on the "Holy Scriptures". Paul, Luke, and John lived during the days of Christ. During the years of Christ and His death and resurrection a great transition was made between the Old and New Covenants. The Holy Scriptures at that time were Old Testament records and were used as a basis for Israel's faith. During the first century the Four Gospel's and the New Testament Epistles were being written and were not published until the 3rd century and after. The Old Testament records (the Holy Scriptures) were Israel's primary written words of God.

In the verses used below the Holy Scriptures mentioned were referring to Old Testament records about Christ. These New Testament Spirit led writers and holy men of God were writing and testifying to power of a resurrected and exalted Christ they had witnessed and experienced in their hearts and lives. The Old Testament records they wrote about would consist of the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms. These sacred oracles were given to Israel as a basis of their faith toward God. These Holy Scriptures contained prophecies, promises, and the commandments which were the greatest set of morals ever written.  The Holy Scriptures were sacred Jewish writings and contained concealed revelations of the Messiahship of Christ. The Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament) contained all of the blessed moral standards Israel were to live by. These God-given morals kept Israel holy and in right-standing enough to point the Jew to their future hope of the Anointed One, the Promised Messiah.

Many concealed prophecies were brought to light in the actual birth, life, ministry, death, burial, and resurrection of Israel's Promised Messiah. His name was Jesus. He was the righteousness of God in the flesh. He was foretold by the Prophets and actually proven by the truth contained within the Holy Scriptures.  The Holy Scriptures were able to reveal and confirm the truth about the promised Christ. The Holy Scriptures contained within the Old Testament records were used as a basis for faith during the life and ministry of the writers of the New Testament records. Luke, John, and Paul used and confirmed the truth about Christ that was found within Old Testament records during the first century.

Here are a few examples of how the Apostle Paul defined the true Gospel and how other holy men of God defined the Holy Scriptures. All records below from the Gospels and the New Testament Epistles pointed to Old Testament records the Spirit filled writers termed as the Holy Scriptures.

Paul instructed Timothy to use Old Testament records as a basis for faith in Christ.

2 Tim. 3:16-17...And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Moses' writings were the 613 commandments contained in the first (5) books of the Old Testament.

John 5:39-47...Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Jesus preached this first Gospel sermon.

Luke 24:44-46...And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

This is how Paul defined the Gospel.

1 Cor. 15:1-4...Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

A distinction between Law and Grace... defined in a systematic theology and Internet Library

Law and Grace is one of the most profound studies anyone can make in life. Law and Grace teaches the Bible student to "rightly divide" God's Word. By rightly dividing God's Word one can learn the Bible in proper context thus laying a lifetime foundation for a life in Christ without confusion that causes hindrance, frustration, or even loss of faith in Christ. Understanding Law and Grace is a must for all students of the Bible.
