Want a good Theology? Follow this Blog...

How blesssed we are to have Brother Lindsey a great Bible scholar to teach us the Bible! The Lord put this on my heart today. I'm careful never to exalt the man more than the Christ behind the man...Christ is the reason why I write this Blog. Christ is the reason why Brother Lindsey made these recordings that I post. Christ is the center of this ministry...

In just a few short months I've had the privilege to post both audio and written teachings like "Law and Grace, Original sin and doubt, Carnal Christians, Healing, Tithing...and many others". This stuff is priceless...for the student of the Bible. There's so much scriptural evidence in these teachings that it may take years to study them out.

I remember studying these tapes with a Strongs concordance... and listening...and stopping the tape... and looking up the verse...and getting rooted! God blessed this man through that material and there's much more to come to you out there!

Yes, Brother Lindsey had a theology that was very well rounded! As a matter of fact there is a system inside these teachings that will provide the student with unlimited amounts of scriptural knowledge.

Continue following...continue studying...continue growing in Grace. God has a plan for you in the ministry...

Have to go to work...God Bless from Rick Roehm!

Healing in the Church...(audio #4 of 6) Brother Hubert Lindsey

This excellent audio recording on Divine Healing in the Church brings light to the healing power of Christ...the head of the Church. This lesson takes people "beyond Calvary"...to the enthroned Christ who has "all" power and authority on Heaven and on Earth. Much clarification is given from this teaching on Divine Healing...and all of its content is taken from the New Testament records of the Bible. This writer finds it to be such an honor to have been taught, learned, and raised up under the teachings of Brother Hubert Lindsey. He was not only a Theological Scholar, but also a spiritual man of God.

The unique thing about this series of teachings on Divine Healing is how God operated through the Ages, (under different Covenant Relationships at different periods of time). For example...in the days of Abel; in the days of Noah before and after the Flood; in the days of Abraham under the promises of God; when the Law was given to Israel at Mt. Sinai up to the crucifixion of Christ; under the dispensation of Grace where the Holy Spirit makes His abode in the Church Today; and in the Kingdom Age (after the Great Tribulation) where Christ returns with the Raptured Church to set up His Kingdom on Earth. Brother Lindsey does an excellent job pointing out how God operated in the past; How God operates now in the present Church Age; and how God will operate in the future Millennial Kingdom. The sequence of events that Brother Lindsey points out and emphasizes...is a great asset to the knowledge of any student of the Bible.

May this 4th audio of 6 on the subject of Divine Healing bless you as much as it has this writer.

The surrendered life...given through the example of Brother Hubert Lindsey

No man would know more about the surrendered life than Brother Lindsey who was totally given to Christ in both word and deed. Hubert declared often, “God can use a sanctified man”. Hubert’s reasoning was the surrendered life of a believer was totally yielded to the Spirit of God. Hubert’s life of surrender was a man totally controlled by Christ. His selfishness from Adamic life was gone. His body and his actions in the physical were controlled by the Spirit of Christ. Before sanctification the old Hubert wanted to hang on to the things of the world. After sanctification the new Hubert let go. Hubert’s life of surrender proved there was no more conflict with the Old Hubert. Hubert always preached the Old Hubert was dead. He insisted the old life of Hubert Lindsey was buried. Hubert’s renewed life was a living sacrifice to Christ that brought forth fruit from the Holy Spirit and not from the flesh. Entire Sanctification allowed Brother Lindsey to stay unattached to the things of the world. Hubert’s personal plans, his personal interests, his personal habits, his personal ambitions, his personal family ties, and his appetite for the material things of the world…were gone. The surrendered life of Hubert Lindsey proved he was renewed by Spirit after he was entirely sanctified!

• Rom 12:1-2…I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

In 2003 at Brother Lindsey’s memorial service in Newark Ohio, a certain testimony touched this writer. Christ was in it! There was young man that gave testimony on Hubert Lindsey’s behalf. He testified that in 1987 Hubert had been traveling, preaching, and promoting the Kingdom Series books. Hubert had stopped to preach in Florence, Ky. He was accommodated by the Dennigan family where he was given an invitation to preach at an Assembly of God Church in Florence, Ky. The pastor’s son’s name was Mike Dennigan Jr. He was very young at that time. The pastor who invited Hubert to stay in his home was Mike Dennigan Sr. During Hubert’s stay with the Dennigan’s, all young Mike Dennigan could do was talk about was a new bicycle. Hubert preached that weekend but when he was departing he made a point to give young Mike Dennigan a new bicycle. The bicycle and Hubert’s deed of giving stuck with young Mike Dennigan’s heart all those years. Mike’s testimony at the Memorial service for Brother Lindsey touched this writer. Hubert was a very kind individual but from a monetary standpoint had very little to give… but he gave! That godly gesture was a witness for Christ to young Mike Dennigan’s heart for life!

Mike’s testimony about Brother Lindsey was a witness for Christ that stuck with this writer’s heart! Hubert’s kindness and compassion for the boy was fruit from the Holy Spirit’s witness. The surrendered life of Hubert Lindsey allowed Christ to manifest through Hubert’s action which continued on through young Mike Dennigan’s testimony. The affects from those works continue on the pages of this biography.

• Rev 14:13…Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Hubert T. Lindsey...Theologian, Author and Collector of rare books

Hubert Lindsey authored and published a couple of books for the glory of the Lord. Two writings in particular are Bless your dirty heart, and The Kingdom Series (a two volume set). Other books I recall were also written, but not published by Brother Lindsey to my knowledge. One book was a Memory Course that taught man how to memorize and use parts of the brain to expand memory. Another, was a book written in the 40’s that was titled, “The four trials of Jesus”. This writer on various occasions heard Brother Lindsey make claim to both mentioned books but never had the opportunity to read the contents of either. To this writer’s knowledge both books still remain unpublished at the time of this writing (2009).

Besides being an author, Hubert Lindsey also collected books and some of these were very rare. One of the most fascinating books this writer ever heard Hubert speak of was titled, “History of the Aborigines” by Joseph Smith the founder of the Mormon Church. To my knowledge that book has never surfaced since Brother Lindsey passed. Another book Hubert spoke of was the, “History of Baptism” by Wells. To this writer’s knowledge neither of these books have surfaced up to the time of this writing (2009).

Four other excellent books (of great Biblical knowledge in publication) were referred to this writer by Brother Lindsey who was not only a spiritual man of God but also a great BibleTheologian. Personal study of the Bible prompted this writer to make an honorable mention of all four books within this writing. They include, “The Bible as History” by Vernon Keller; “Binney’s Theological Compend” by Amos Binney; “Jesus is coming” by William E. Blackstone; and a commentary on the book of “Romans” by Donald Barnhouse. All four books are still in publication today. Hubert knew these books were great reading for preachers and students of the Bible.

This writer was especially moved by the four volume commentary on the book of Romans written by Dr. Donald Barnhouse. Brother Lindsey was personally acquainted with Dr. Barnhouse and conversed with him on various Bible topics. Hubert always spoke highly of Dr. Barnhouse and his commentary on the Roman Letter. One reason Brother Lindsey appreciated Dr. Barnhouse was because of Dr. Barnhouse’s understanding of the Law of Moses in relation to Paul’s teaching on Grace in the Church. Dr. Barnhouse was a very learned man of Law and Grace and he expounded on these subjects throughout the entirety of his writings. Brother Lindsey held the utmost respect for Dr. Barnhouse even though Dr. Barnhouse was Calvinistic in theology. Dr. Barnhouse did not agree with the doctrine of Entire Sanctification in any respect. Both men were divided in Theology however; Hubert always made claim that Barnhouse’s work on the Roman letter was one of the greatest works he had ever read. This writer likewise agrees with Brother Lindsey’s position on Barnhouse’s commentary on the Roman Letter. Even though Brother Lindsey was Calvinist in the early part of his ministry he never criticized Dr. Barnhouse for his position on the security of the believer. Through personal research this writer understands totally why Brother Lindsey made such an honorable mention of Dr. Barnhouse’s great writings. Had it not been for Brother Lindsey this writer may not have had the privilege to study such great Bible doctrines under such learned men of God.
