This writer had the privilege to tell Brother Lindsey before he died this ministry would be continued...as long as I live. God's Grace has made a way. A small little history behind the "Churches on Trial"
The "Churches on Trial" radio broadcast aired in the 1980's and was a scriptural based program that stayed in line with the truth of the Holy Scriptures. Brother Lindsey's vast knowledge of the Bible kept the call in questions directly related to the holy standards of the Bible. The "Churches on Trial" allowed Brother Lindsey to live up to his nickname, "The Walking Bible". This radio broadcast of Biblical questions and answers (on the local level) put many "Churches on Trial".
Man's opinions were not used or allowed on this broadcast. Traditional teachings were uprooted and exposed in light of the Holy Scriptures. The imaginations and philosophies of men were undermined by the truth of the Bible. Humanism and politics were taken out of the religious limelight. True Christianity was taught... rather than religion. Why?... How? ...The person of Christ was magnified from the Old Testament prophecies; Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John revealed Christ's Kingdom message that was ministered to Israel; and New Testament records showed the affectual power of God's Grace that changes the moral make-up of man. Brother Lindsey didn't use his Biblical knowledge to undermine the caller...he simply discerned the question and ministered truth. When I speak of truth I simply speak of the Word of God and the Spirit of truth!
The Churches on Trial made Christianity real and alive because the person of Christ was it's central focal point. Brother Lindsey allowed no room for Spiritual principles or spirtual concepts because the Grace of God was taught powerfully and beautifully in line with the Bible. The Bible calls this Divine Grace I speak of, "Great Grace". As a matter of fact it's the Grace of God that changed this writer enough...to form this Blog...for the edification of others. That's why I also titled this Blog, "The Churches on Trial". Bible Truth sometimes put the local Churches on Trial.
Biblical knowledge brings responsibility to the Christian. The Churches on Trial provided and still provides vast Biblical knowledge. The radio broadcast enlightened people to Christ, the Bible, and the Gospel messsage...so does this Blog! Brother Lindsey paved the way through his endeavors telling the world about Christ! By the Grace of God this writer follows Brother Lindsey as as he followed Christ! That's why I preserve Brother Lindsey's audios which many are posted at this site. That's why I publish Brother Lindsey's material on this Blog. There are many audios posted at this Blog and many, many, more to come as God allows.

We are going the third year at the Churches on Trial Blog for Christ. Glory! Much has been accomplished for the cause of Christ. Our endeavors to "revive" the ministry of the late Hubert T. Lindsey a man sent by Christ, is now going around the globe. Christ is being glorified in Brother Lindsey's teachings! Also you can find a complete Bible Theology in these timeless studies. Why? Because Brother Lindsey covers every aspect the Bible for those who desire to further their knowledge in the Scriptures.
For those of you who wonder why this site is called the Churches on Trial. The reason is we preach and teach straight Bible Truth and do not conform to denominational teachings. Our intent is to reach men for Christ and rightly divide the Holy Scriptures. We encourage people to depend on Christ and the truth of the Bible. Blessed week-end of reunion and revival for the Churches on Trial
As I traveled 350 miles North this past week end to the state of Michigan I had the wonderful privilege to preach, fellowship, and meet with the original founder of the Churches on Trial radio broadcast. This gentleman was Jim Elsman who had a vision many years ago to publicize and offer Bible "answers" to the general public in Detroit. The Churches on Trial was very popular radio broadcast in Michigan in the late 1980's. It is also what prompted this writer to originate this Blog... 3 1/2 years ago and continue a ministry which today goes in the Spirit via Internet around the globe.
The original Churches on Trial was a call in talk show in Detroit Michigan that allowed Brother Hubert Lindsey much, much air time with the public ...to provide Bible answers for callers with questions concerning the issues of life. The Bible was the only authority used to provide these answers. Jim Elsman was a lawyer who hosted the show and mediated public calls to Brother Lindsey for Biblical answer and clarification. Thousands of people were blessed by the ministry with rich Bible Truth.
After having an invitation to preach Sunday at Alpine Valley Church in Highland Michigan, Pastor Jim Denton also invited Jim Elsman to visit the service. When I came to Michigan I visited with and also invited Brother Bryan Harley to come to Alpine Valley for the service. Jim Elsman and Bryan Harley were both acquainted with Hubert Lindsey in earlier years through the Churches on Trial radio broadcast and the local Church in Birmigham where Brother Lindsey pastored.
We all joined at Alpine Valley Church Sunday in the Spirit and rejoiced in the Lord! The service was anointed and filled with the Spirit of God. A reunion was made between men of God who were separated by miles and time...but God made a way for reunion and revival. The fire was re-ignited! Christ was honored and magnified! We all had lunch together at the Church afterwards. What a fellowship! What a joy Divine! Worth sharing at the Churches on Trial Blog which is a continuation of something God created 25 years ago and still lives today through men of God that care. That care I mention...about a ministry that God established 25 years ago, is still carried on today.
The Churches on Trial is still reaching people and teaching people God's Word. The Churches on Trial is here to solidify and to establish men with a good foundation of faith in Christ. This ministry lives because God is behind it with authority! His touch is still enough to save souls and His truth is still enough to fortify people's faith in Christ. Note from this Blog to our European Brethren
Stats indicate we are reaching the other side of planet Earth for the cause of Christ. Glory! I thank God for Google and the Internet. As for your participation? Audios, Videos, Theology and Sound Bible teachings at this Blog
Have you taken the time to review our biblical library? Or to examine our Blogs posted for your edification. The intent of this Blog is to carry on the right division of God's Word and to help others to understand the Bible's great Truth about Christ. Most of the teaching at the Churches on Trial was originally started by Hubert T. Lindsey a holiness preacher and Bible scholar who had most of the Bible memorized. Brother Lindsey preached the Gospel for 75 years. During his later ministry Brother Lindsey recorded his messages to be carried on outside of his presence. Since Brother Lindsey passed on his messages still live today around the globe via Internet. His timeless Biblical library and Theology are only kept alive today by the Grace of God. We have many audios posted at present and twice that many awaiting publication in the future. Glory! We are an ongoing ministry that advocates teachings such as holiness of heart, Law and Grace, and New Testament Bible doctrine. Much of our teaching comes from, and is supported by the late Dr. Hubert Lindsey who left behind years of Theological and Ministerial teaching for the furtherance of the cause of Christ. Just a brief note. Thanks Europe for stopping by this site. We appreciate you coming here in the name of Jesus. The name above all names. This site dedicated to Holy Hubert Lindsey is now being published and ministered around the Globe. Our intent is to magnify Christ Jesus.
I have been lax in weeks past keeping this Blog updated. This is due to various things going in my life. Not to many things that Jesus is not first in my life. He is! Glory!

No debates, arguments, or fables at the Churches on Trial...we simply teach Christ crucified
This ministry was ordained of God to tell the world the truth about Christ. We are not based on hype. We are not in it for the money, nor are we in it to gain popularity. The reality is, "Christ is real". He changes things and gives us a better life.
We do not argue. We do not debate. We do not teach fables. Our intent is to get people to Christ and to teach them God's Word.
The world is lost. So many distractions. Evil is rampant. The pressures of life are intense. The clean heart is the simplicity of Christ in your heart and mine. The Bible teaches that Christians have a clean heart. Christians are holy and right in the eyes of God. Christ is alive and His power is given to those who believe.
This is the plain and simple truth. Christ is the way; the truth; and the life. No room for argument or debate. God said so. It's final. To do the will of God your heart must be clean. Only Christ can clean the heart of man. Don't be overtaken with the opinions of men. Read it in your Bible.
Truth undermines elegant stories which come from enticing words of men's wisdom. Truth plows under human wisdom with demonstration of the Spirit and power. Truth is only built upon the Word of God. Truth is not open for debate. Truth is only argued by people who reject it or don't understand it's worth. Truth is raw...and simple enough for a child to understand. Truth needs to be stood for and taught more!
At the Churches on Trial we put Churches on Trial because we don't water down truth. We don't compromise, nor do we apologize for teaching truth. Sometimes the truth requires giving up what you have. Sometimes truth seems unusual but it brings comfort to the soul. Brother Lindsey paved the way teaching truth so that's why we publish his timeless messages on this Blog. Hubert T. Lindsey, a voice for God for 75 years
As a voice for God, I also am honored to carry on this ministry for Christ, at present and for the past 24 years. This site (Churches on Trial) is now reaching people for Christ and teaching the Bible, around the world. Glory! Brother Hubert T. Lindsey who inspired this writer to make this Internet site... preached Christ, recorded sermons, and impacted lives for Christ his whole life for 8o+ years on this side of Heaven. Hubert T. Lindsey a.k.a...Holy Hubert was and still is a voice for God today as a result of the Internet. Hubert Lindsey as a voice for God (and dear Brother in Christ) is worth mentioning and remembering. Hubert Lindsey's Gospel message is timeless...it still lives today
As I continue to gather information about Brother Lindsey (the walking Bible) to publish on this Blog I keep running into so many people who were effected by his ministry across this nation. The phenomenal thing is hearing about the "fruit" that was produced by the Gospel that Brother Lindsey preached!
So few people today hardly know that Brother Lindsey was a man who lived a life dedicated to Christ and a life dedicated to winning people to Christ. He taught Bible truth about holiness of heart and conduct and he proved it by his love for humanity. Brother Lindsey loved humanity and wasn't partial to sex, race, social status, titles, or man's position in the world. Brother Lindsey just preached Christ and lived for Christ. He dealt specifically with every walk of life.
Holiness of heart and conduct was the core of Brother Lindsey's ministry because holiness produces love, humility, and compassion. Granted Brother Lindsey had confrontations with the unsaved but his primary message was the Gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ that got people saved. Yes, He preached the "turn or burn" message but he also loved the sinner. He just hated sin and found no excuse for sin in the life of a Christian. He knew the harm that sin caused in a sinful mans life. Yes, Brother Lindsey did condemn sin because he loved righteousness. Did you know God condemns sin? Think about how the Holy Spirit "reproves" the negative side of life.
Countless testimonies from 40 years back still continue come forth and edify the Christ that Brother Lindsey preached. Countless testimonies continue to come forth from the Churches of Trial Radio broadcast in Detroit of which I base this Blog on. Yes, the Christ that Brother Lindsey preached got a hold on Rick Roehm also! I'm thankful for it too! I've been dedicated to this ministry for 24 years...with joy and gladness! It has meaning to me because God used Brother Lindsey to bring the Gospel to this writer. That's why I write and encourage others. Today I am honored to say this Blog is going around the world for Christ. God is behind it! Glory!
The intent of this ministry and this Blog is not to put Brother Lindsey on a pedestal as a man, but simply to magnify the Christ he preached. To keep the ministry alive! To carry on what Brother Lindsey started! That's the intent of this Blog! To carry on a ministry that was left behind on audio and to continue the rich Bible doctrine that he acquired in his 72 years in the ministry. I encourage any of you to study the teachings that Brother Lindsey put into audio format. They will give any of you an excellent foundation in the Bible and build a faith that will last for the long haul.

We're here to make Hubert Lindsey's faithful teachings known
This Blog was started about a year and half ago. It was created to carry on a ministry that Brother Lindsey started many years ago for the cause of Christ. Churches on Trial was originally a radio broadcast in Detroit that allowed Brother Lindsey airtime to answer Biblical Questions that were called in.
I recorded a few of these radio shows and posted them on the left side of this Blog under Hubert Lindsey audios. There are other teaching recordings also that offer much learning for those who enjoy studying the Bible.
I have kept the name of Hubert T. Lindsey (Holy Hubert) alive not to glorify the man, only to glorify the presence of Christ behind that man. Hubert Lindsey reached the hearts and lives of so many people around this nation for 6o years. That legacy must live as the people still live that were effected by Brother Lindsey's ministry.
Hubert Lindsey was not only an evangelist, he was also a teacher of God's Word that clarified the knowledge of the Bible and made it simple enough for a child to understand. I have endeavored to keep that ministry alive, out of committment to God and to Brother Lindsey.
For the past months I have been slack in keeping up this Blog and been writing on other Blogs. I am asking for your input. Perhaps you have a writing or testimony that relates to this ministry or the ministry of Brother Lindsey. Contact me and we'll consider posting it! Our desire is to carry on a ministry that Brother Lindsey left behind.
As time allows there will be new audios and videos coming this fall. We need your visitation and perhaps you can pass us on to someone else that may need to learn more about God's Word. The Churches on Trial Blog cares about the Salvation of souls...
Salvation in Christ is our desire. Teaching the Word...and rightly dividing it is the intent of this blog. Our expectations are to win and support our viewers with Word and Truth about Christ. How does this Blog put the Churches on Trial?
Here's how!
Before Brother Lindsey died he made claim that he wished he would have taught these doctrines "more" in the earlier years of his ministry. The radio broadcast that Brother Lindsey hosted "rocked" Detroit in the late eighties by putting the local Churches on Trial. This stuff is sound doctrine and needs to be put into the mainstream.
Here's a for instance...
Christians can live without sin. Controversial! The Bible says so!
That the sin nature can be destroyed completely in this life. Controversial! The Bible says so!
That we live under Grace...not the Law of Moses! Controversial! The Bible says so!
That denomination is not mentioned in the Bible.
New Testament Church government! The Bible says that Apostles, Prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are gifts from Christ!
That Apostles are for today! Like the Apostle Paul!
No Christian has a legal right to divorce.
That the teachings of Christ (during His earthly ministry) were teachings of the Law of Moses. Read it for yourself!
That man can lose faith and thus separate from Eternal Salvation!
Progressive Sanctification or the process of maturing Spiritually...not taught in the Bible!
An on and on and on and on and on!
Many of the above subjects were preached and clarified by Brother Lindsey. This writer likewise teaches and advocates the same doctrines. That's the intent of this Blog! That's the intent of this writer! That was Brother Lindsey's wishes before he went to heaven. I believe God is behind this ministry...100%.
So, why does this put the local Churches on Trial? Here's Why. The Churches on Trial advocate, "Rightly dividing Gods Word". Many of the modern movements and large Church organizations have gotten away from New Testament Church Structure that makes the distinction between Law and Grace...The Kingdom message to Israel and the Gospel of the death, burial, and Resurrection to the Church and doctrines such as these. Why? These doctrines are not always appealing to the masses and large bodies...but that doesn't mean they are not true doctrines or that they are scripturally sound. It just means the large movements are not teaching or advocating such doctrines. Sometimes entertainment is more appealing to the masses than the truth about God's Word! Sometimes popularity is too! It's not all about popularity or whats appealing its about getting people rooted in Christ and the truth of God's Word!
I could go on and on but won't at this time. The only thing I want to say is that Brother Lindsey's preaching and teaching will continue at this Blog as long as I live. This material is important to everyone sinner and saint alike! It's greater than Theology or head knowledge...why? It's God breathed and ministered to the heart of man...by the Spirit of God! So what if it puts the Churches on Trial! Perhaps the modern Church World needs to be put on trial and possibly swayed from some of the things they are teaching! There would be less confusion in the Church World!
Our intent at Churches on Trial... is to stay in line with the New Testament truth and language of the Bible! If you find fault with what we're teaching let us know...we will examine closely or reevaluate if we're wrong.

What do you desire? Milk or strong meat?
For those who diligently seek the Truth it is our desire at the Churches on Trial to use the Word of God in it's fullness. We do not put limits on the truth of what is written in the Bible! We do not limit ourselves to teaching the milk of the word of God only! The Bible says milk is for babes and thus limits the power of a living God. Strong meat belongs to those who are of "full age" according to Hebrews 5. Any Christian can be of "Full Age".
Heb 5:12-14...For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
What does it mean to be of full age? It simply means... the sinner must repent and turn to Christ for Salvation of the soul and receive God's justifying power that offers the forgiveness of sins. Then, the Holy Spirit can speak to that heart and reveal the sanctifying power of the Spirit of God that deals with what man is from birth. The New Testament teaches sanctification. The Holy Spirit testifies Christ to a saved man! The Spirit reveals the crucifixion of the old man to a saved man. Sanctifying power "comes upon" or "falls upon" a saved man...not the sinner! Sanctifying power is the Spirits work that cuts man away from what he is by nature. Sanctifying power delivers man from the Adamic life. This deliverance from the Adamic life allows the saved man to have "Full Salvation" in this life as a Christian. Sanctification takes the believer beyond the new birth that allows God to pardon and to justify. Sanctification is the final work of the Baptism with the Spirit of God that all believers can receive...after they are born again! Sanctification is truth taught in the Word of God! Unfortunately many religious bodies today in 2012 do not teach such truth. Why? Simply because you have differences caused from man's opinions, traditions that have prevailed for 18 centuries, imaginations and spirtulizations of the Scripture, and religions by the hundreds!
What happens when you take human opinions out, that deviate from the truth of God's Word? Human opinions have deviated from the truth of what God said, since the fall of Adam. When the Jewish nation "interpreted" the Torah (God's inspired Word), they came up with the Babylonian Talmud. The Talmud was Israel's (man's ) interpretation of what God said. Humanism crept in. Religion crept in. What God said turned into... what man said. What was written...was not first and foremost! Human opinions formed religion. Human opinions formed traditional teachings. Did you know traditional things are sometimes placed in a higher priority than what God's Word says about the matter? Look at infant Baptism for example. There's not one single verse in the Bible that teaches such, but it still dominiates in the Religious World.
Why do traditions have such a drastic affect on people's thinking even today in 2012? Why do religious practices enchant peoples interests? Did you know that man's imagination can run wild in opinion and religion? All the above things (opinions, traditions, religion, and imaginations) can be stopped by what is written. The basis of our faith should be placed in what is written. Sure we teach the meat of the Word...but what's the religious world teaching? Christianity is not religion it's an experience. The foundation of the Christian experience is built upon the Word of God.
It is our desire at the Churches on Trial to give you the reader much, much, evidence to support your faith through our teaching of the Holy Scriptures. Another "intent" behind this Christian Blog, "The Churches on Trial"
The fruitfulness of Brother Lindsey's ministry for Christ (in this writers personal life) brings many things to attention. These things have more than enough merit to be testified about in the pages of this Blog. As God reveals... this writer attempts to bring these things of God to life through this Blog (that goes across the world) and through a personal ministry for Christ. Things such as studying the Bible and rightly divividing the Truth are so much needed this day and hour.
Hubert's teaching compels people to do such! Things like being everyday conscious and obedient to the Holy Spirit's presence are so much needed this day and hour. Hubert Lindsey's teachings compel people...to become dependant on Christ. His teachings stir the conscience. This Blog... that publicizes Hubert Lindsey's teachings emphasizes, " Christ wants all men and women to be dependant on Him...not just the teachers!" These are the things that Brother Lindsey taught! These are the things this writer teaches in his personal ministry for Christ! These are the things that people so easily take for granted! Why? Because we are living in a fast paced society...in 2009. Things are moving fast and if we take our attention off of Christ and truth of His Word, "The world's got us".
The intent of this writer's ministry and the intent of this Blog is to continue publicizing Hubert Lindsey's ministry, to continue publicizing the Churches on Trial, and to compel the reader to STUDY THE BIBLE! This stuff stirs the reader to become everyday conscious and obedient to the Holy Spirt's presence. This is what Hubert Lindsey ministered, recorded, and preserved 0nto audio for the sake of the Gospel. This is why the Churches on Trial radio broadcast was aired originally and is aired once again today. This is why God is "Reviving" the Hubert Lindsey ministry...and the Churches on Trial! There is a concealed wealth of knowledge that needs to be revealed and revived. By the Grace of God this writer plans to do such.
Our intent at this Blog is to continue what Brother Lindsey started! To carry on the Apostles doctrine! To sway people to Christ like Brother Lindsey did! To stir people to Christ! To stir people to study..to see if what we are teaching is correct and sound doctrine. This stuff "REVIVES" and "RESTORES". Glory to God in Christ!

The intent of this blog for Christ...
The intention of the Blog is to reach people with the same Christ that Brother Lindsey reached people with for over 70 years in the ministry. The Internet however; is full of episodes that were made real by Brother Lindsey in the work of the ministry but this writer wants it to be made known, "It's not as much about the man Hubert Lindsey... as it is about the person of Christ that Hubert Lindsey preached about". God wants it that way. Hubert wanted it that way and this writer wants it that way. To Christ be the Glory! This writer became a product of Brother Lindsey's Gospel message... in 1988. That's what influences me to write this Blog!
Odd as it may sound, I made Brother Lindsey's acquaintance while incarcerated in Michigan in 1988. Christ had already got my attention in 1987, but as all new converts are...I was very shallow in Bible knowledge. That's where the relationship with Brother Lindsey began. I was first introduced to Brother Lindsey by radio but months later I made his personal acquaintance. Then, I was introduced to his audio ministry of which is "currently preserved" at this present hour onto audio CD. Originally Hubert's audio ministry was recorded onto audio cassette but since... has been transposed to CD format for preservation purpose of Hubert's vast wealth of knowledge.
In months to come in 2009 it's this writers intent to convey in this Blog the teachings, the ongoing the ministry, the doctrines, the books, and the audios of Brother Lindsey...which sometimes automatically puts certain "Churches on Trial". Within this ministry there will be no denominational oversight to govern this Blog! There will be no traditional views that sway this Blog! It will be a Spirit led Blog that reaches the hearts and souls of men and women like you and I. It will be based on Biblical facts...not denominational views! As all of us know this sometimes goes against the grain of "Modern Religion".
I look forward to many exciting things to bloom from this ministry! I know it can happen because I am a product the power of the Gospel that Brother Lindsey preached!
