Sin doesn't live here anymore

The hearts of angels cry, “Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty”. The hearts of believers in Christ can cry, “Sin doesn’t live here anymore”. Why? God remembers a believer’s past sins no more. All the sins from the past life are thrown away as far as the east is from the west. Salvation and Redemption of the human soul is the picture here. Forgiveness granted from the shed blood of a Savior is found, touched, and experienced by the believing heart. A new creation in Christ is made by God! With an attitude and character that can proclaim with gladness, “Sin doesn’t live here anymore”.

The precious blood of Christ was shed so fallen man could be delivered from all his past sins. The precious blood of Christ is what makes the heart of a believer in Christ clean and holy in the present life. Sin stains from the past are washed away. Clean enough that a believer in Christ can gladly say, “Sin doesn’t live here anymore”. Holy enough that a believer in Christ knows that Salvation of the human soul is God breathed, God made, and God created in the believing heart. God made the new creation in Christ so the believer could “quit” his meanness and wrongdoing. This believing heart and character (that experiences the power of God) can boldly say, “Sin doesn’t live here anymore”.

This type of confession is made from the Holy Spirit’s witness placed in the heart of a believer in Christ. This type of profession is made because the unholy heart of a sinful man is made holy by the power of God’s Grace. The believer in Christ is no longer a sinful man but holy in the eyes of God. The holy confession and holy profession of a believer in Christ are experienced and lived outwardly in this present life. The believer in Christ is led by the Holy Spirit of God, not the unholy sinful nature. Sensuality and dirty living are no longer in control since Christ came in! The lusts of the flesh are not longer in control since Christ came in. The lusts of the eyes are no longer in control since Christ came in. The pride of life no longer rules the believing heart since Christ came in. God takes over His children who are born of the Spirit of God. It’s called Redemption! It’s called Salvation of the human soul! Simple as that!

Jesus Christ came into the believing heart to take away the sins of fallen man and He does just that. Jesus takes away the past sins of the unbeliever so much that holiness of heart and character are produced in the present life of a believer. So much that a believer can thankfully shout, “Sin doesn’t live here anymore”. The precious blood of Christ was shed at Calvary to cleanse and wash away fallen man’s personal sin stains. Every sin from the past life where sin and disobedience ruled that unbelieving heart. The precious blood of Christ restores the believing heart to a holy state of being in this present life. Glory! So great is Salvation and Redemption of the human soul through the person of Christ. Salvation, not to be taken lightly! Redemption, not to be used as an excuse to sin! Salvation and Redemption not to be considered as covering for future sins! Christianity is a present tense walk with God in the Spirit and in holiness of conduct because sin doesn’t live there anymore.

Remember the words of some unknown holiness preacher in Williamsburg, Ohio. Who gladly and joyfully proclaims this message around the globe for Jesus, “By the shed blood of Jesus Christ my personal Lord and Savior, sin doesn’t live here anymore”.

So precious

So precious is God’s Mercy upon us who believe.
So precious is Salvation of the human soul.
So precious is our forgiveness from all past sins.
So precious is our redemption today.
So precious is our victory over sin that the unsaved world can never experience.
Oh, So precious is our Christ who gives us a new life.
So precious is our Christ who changes the moral character.
So precious is Christ, who changes the way we act, behave, and think.
So precious is the one who teaches us to grieve not the Holy Spirit.
So precious and so great is our Salvation.
Oh, so precious.
Oh, so precious,
So precious is Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Life is a vapor and then its gone (a Biblical perspective)

No Christian knows what tomorrow will bring. Christians must be accountable to God every minute, every hour, every day. The Bible teaches that today is the day of salvation and holy living. Don't wait for tomorrow. Christians are to live according to the will of God  in the present tense for this very reason. Never should salvation be taken lightly or for granted enough to miss the mark today. Life is only vapor and then it vanishes away. Reasons are many to stay in harmony with Christ who saved you and redeemed your soul with His amazing Grace. Boasting is a sin. High-mindedness is dangerous. Be careful how you behave. You're accountable. Do good because the heart is cleansed by Christ who bought you for a price. The Bible teaches life is a vapor and lasts for a little while and then its gone. I like what James had to say about this.

James 4:14-17...Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

If more people lived according to God's standard

The Christian witness would be better. God’s Standard would be recognized for the cause of Christ. Examples would be set. Testimonies would be true. The witness of a Christian (a small minority in the big picture around the globe) would “win” many to Christ worldwide. Deviation from holiness given by the Grace of God is not acceptable to God. God doesn’t blink His eyes when Christian’s sin. Sin grieves the Spirit of God. Sin gives a bad example to an unsaved world. Christian’s are equipped with a clean and holy heart that allows them to stand sure as witnesses. Christian’s live up to God’s standard because they care and are conscientious to Christ. The world we live in watches Christians and Christian’s live the way they’re supposed to live. If they live according to God’s standard of holiness they will “win” people to Christ.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23…For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel’s sake

Are you a believer in Christ or not?

Believer’s in Christ live right in the eyes of God because the believing heart is made clean and holy by the Saving Grace of God. Many claim to believe in Christ but live like devils. Who are they kidding? Surely not God. Be not deceived. True believer’s know every sin is forgiven and the heart is clean and right.  Reason? Believers in Christ receive the power of God’s Grace that morally changes man from a state of depravity to a state of holiness. Big difference. So, are you a believer in Christ or not?

Holiness of heart and conduct

Holiness of heart produces holiness of conduct. When the Spirit of Holiness rids man of all unholiness...a life in Christ begins. Only the power of a resurrected Christ can cleanse the unbelieving heart from sin and unrighteousness. When God's cleansing power takes place in the heart...the fruit of holiness flows through the make-up and conduct of a believer in Christ.

Rom 6:21-22...What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness,

Hiding the Word of God in the heart

Scriptures in the Old Testament taught - the Word was to be "hid" in the heart so that Jewish people would not sin against God.

Psalm 119:11...Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

The Word of God was the Law and Commandments. The Torah was the first five books in the Bible. The 613 Commandments were the standard of God given to Jewish people to keep Israel in "obedience" to the God. In that day and hour before the death of Christ; before Grace flowed from the Cross at Calvary; and before the Holy Spirit developed the Church, the body of Christ...The commandments were "learned and lived" by the Jewish people as a act of faith in God. In order for Israel to be holy they were to learn, study, and meditate the Law and Commandments contained in the Torah. By doing such Israelite's were able to grasp and absorb the standards of God's Law - which forbid sin and sinful conduct. God's Law pointed out sin and told the recipient "to do" or "not to do" certain things that were outside of God's standard.

James 2:10...For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

If the Word was hid or absorbed into the heart it was able to keep man from sinning against the Law of God. Sin was and is a violation to the Law of God. The Law and 613 commandments given to Israel on Mt. Sinai were the greatest set of morals ever written...before Christ died. After the death of a Savior on the Cross....Grace came and allowed God's Holy Spirit to provide a moral standard of holiness much greater than the holiness of Law. It was the holiness of the Spirit of God that writes the Law of God - upon the the tables of a believing heart.

Hebrews 10: 15,16...Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

In the Old Testament Israel worked and hid the Word in their heart to keep the standard. In the New Testament we hold on to Christ and by doing such we live the standard of God...according to the Spirit of holiness. A blessing of the New Testament and the power of God's Grace. As the Apostle Paul stated,

Romans 6:14...For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under Grace.

In Christ...your position in life

Being in Christ is the best position you can be in...on this side of Heaven. Conscious to His presence. Subject to His authority. Obedient to do His will. In any country. Around any religion. Your whole life...until you leave this world. Recognizing and being subject to Christ.

Some people will tell you...you can't stay in Christ all the time. God says you can. The Bible says you can. Staying in Christ is the blessed life of a Christian. Staying Christ is an obedience regulated by your faith in Him. Staying in Christ will allow you to deal with every circumstance in life with confidence that Christ will provide your need.

Faith puts you "in" Christ. Faith keeps you in Christ. Faith allows you to be faithful to Christ...every minute, every hour, every day...with joy, peace and contentment. The Holy Spirit provides every ounce of power needed for a faithful man to have a holy heart. Unfaithfulness to Christ puts you on the outside looking in. Being in Christ is being on the inside looking out. The best life is to be inside of Christ (under His hand) looking out. Keep it that way and be blessed.

Holiness is the essence of being in Christ. Unholiness is not. Don't let the ways of the world rob you from contentment and peace that comes from being Christ. You are given a holy heart when your sins are forgiven. Live a holy life and "stay" in Christ. Don't weave in and out of Christ. Very dangerous. When you're in Christ you will live, act, and behave like a Christian. Don't let anyone or other religions tell you otherwise. A clean heart is a holy heart. A holy heart is the heart of those in Christ.

The holiness of a child of God is the blessing found from being in Christ. Christ is a person. His power given to you is enough to keep you on the mark every step of the way through life. The holy heart and the holy life are found when you're "in Christ". Keep yourself in Christ. Keep yourself subject to His presence. Recognize what He did for you 2000 years ago but most of all recognize His person, His power, and His presence "now". Staying in Christ is not automatic. Unfaithfulness steers you out of Christ. Staying in Christ requires faithfulness and obedience...from you.

Being in Christ and keeping yourself in Christ is being a true Christian. What a great position to have! Try it for 30-50 years and then you'll see what contentment really is! Stay in Christ and tell the world about Christ. He is coming soon. When you're in Him...you're always ready! Even when you're asleep! What a great position to be in! What a great position to have in life!

Lifting up holy hands

A sense of joy and happiness came to my spirit the other day. It was joy about prayer, my life in Christ, and contentment in the Christian life. These hands went up in the air, with the mouth it was, "Thank You Jesus". Then the verse came to mind.

1 Tim 2:8...I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

What is the example of a believer in Christ?

1 Timothy 4:12…but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

The example of the words of a believer (how a believer talks) are not corrupt communication, profanity, or cursing. Sweet water and bitter water don’t flow from the same fountain. Even Jesus said out of abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A clean heart brings forth clean words and a clean tongue.

The example of the conversation of a believer is “the manner of life” or “lifestyle” of those who accept Christ as personal Lord and Saviour. Lifestyle can also pertain to sonship, parenthood, domestic life, social life, business life, religious life, etc. Believer’s in Christ live right in the eyes of God because the believing heart is made clean and holy by the Grace of God. Therefore, the manner of of living regardless of human status is made clean and holy.

Charity is the spiritual inclination of the believing heart. Charity is the love manifested when a believer in Christ gives from the heart. The example of charity is recognized in the eyes of God and is a witness for Christ to the unbelieving world.

The example of the spirit of the believing heart is an example of one who pays full attention to Christ and things that pertain to the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The natural man doesn’ t know the things of the Spirit of God or Christ because they are foolishness to him. The Spirit man doesn’t do the things that he did in the old life before Christ. A spirit man “quits” his meanness. This example of the believer ”proves” what is acceptable to God.

The example of faith is the believers faithful life to Christ. Faithfulness to Christ proves rightstanding with God and the clean heart. Faithfulness to Christ allows God’s Spirit to work within the believing heart. God’s witnesses are faithful and true and eligible to testisfy and preach. This kind of example in the eyes of God also makes a statement to the unbelieving world, “The action of a child of God speaks louder than words”. That’s why the clean and holy heart (a gift from God) are so important.

The example of purity can only be manifested through the work of the Holy Spirit in the believing soul. Man cannot purify the human heart without the saving Grace of Salvation. Heart purity has nothing to do with human maturity or human growth. Purity is given freely from God when the believing heart is cleansed from sin and unrighteosuness. Purity is manifested in the life and the example of the child of God. The best example of heart purity I know of is when every sin of the past is forgiven and the Old Adam is crucified just like Christ. Newness of life is thus found because the believing heart is made clean and holy in the new birth. Heart purity breaks the bondage of sin. The moral make-up of and unbeliever is purified through belief in the truth about the person of Christ.

Being an example of a believer in Christ is a necessary tool to win the lost.

1 Timothy 4:12…but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Eternal Life or Eternal Damnation?

The clean heart (made clean by the redemptive work of Christ) makes man eligible to receive Eternal Life. The clean heart is proven in the life of obedience to God. Man’s act of faith brings in the Grace of God which thus enacts holiness of character; the divine nature; and the new birth that are found after every sin is forgiven by the Grace and Mercy of God found in a Saviour. The biblical term for this Divine Operation is termed Justification by Grace. Holiness of heart begins when the human soul is made clean by Justification found in the Grace of God. Only the clean and holy heart makes man eligible to receive “Eternal Life”. Eternal Life does begin in this life as long as the heart of man remains clean and holy. The Bible says, “Without holiness no man shall see the Lord”. Eternal Death (damnation upon the human soul in this life) is God’s Judgment for those whose die in sin and unholiness of heart. The condition of the sinner’s heart is not clean or holy and thus not entitled to Eternal Life with God Almighty…in this life or on the other side in Heaven.

The Spirit of Holiness

The Bible teaches that God can quicken man with his Spirit. This power (from above) that "quickens" the human being and converts him into a child of God... is the same power that raised Jesus from the grave. This "quickening power" can also be termed as the Spirit of Holiness.

Azuza Street and the Jesus Movement. When holiness is taught Revival can break out...Hubert T. Lindsey

I recently found this resource about William Seymour a vessell of honor and Spiritual Father of the Azuza Street Revival that took place around 1906 to 1915. Brother Seymour taught sanctification and holiness and the result was Revival. Azuza Street was one of the greatest Revivals in the history of our nation. Brother Lindsey, Spirtual Father of the Jesus Movement in 1965-1975 always spoke of such miracle of truth. Both these great men of God taught sanctification and holiness and the Spirit of God "moved" historically. Read the following about the Spiritual Father behind Azuza Street revival that Brother Lindsey proclaimed for years as a minister for Christ.

At Azusa Street Mission, William J. Seymour taught four basic truths concerning the atonement through Jesus Christ. These truths are benefits available to all who will accept them. These benefits are (1.) Justification by faith (2.)Sanctification (3.)Healing (4.) Holy Ghost baptism. Other topics included the “office work” of the Holy Ghost, Church unity and slavery.

Concerning justification by faith, Seymour taught persons who repent of their sins and turn in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ, receive forgiveness of sins. He taught regeneration and justification are simultaneous. Through justification, pardoned sinners become children of God.

Concerning sanctification, Seymour taught through it Christians are thoroughly purged and cleansed “from all original and Adamic sin”. He distinguished original or “Adamic” sin from actual sins committed by an individual. He stated, actual sins are “cleansed away through the blood of Jesus at the cross” [as a result of repenting and turning in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ]. However, original or “Adamic” sin, also cleansed at the cross, is “a real death to the old man”. Christ then becomes sanctified in the Christian. Seymour further taught, sanctification makes a Christian holy and “destroys the breed of sin, the love of sin and carnality”. The results of sanctification are (1.) A pure heart (2.) Being made “every whit whole” (3.) Christ is “crowned and enthroned” in one’s heart (4.) Obtaining “power over the world, the flesh and the devil" (5.) Sitting in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Seymour referred to sanctification as “the second work of grace” and stated it is accomplished by “the power of the blood and the Holy Ghost” working in a Christian’s heart. It is performed on the total man – spirit, soul and body. Through sanctification, Christians “live a holy life free from sin”. Scriptural bases for Seymour’s teaching on sanctification include Matthew 5:8; John 17:15-17; Romans 6:6,7; 1 Thessalonians 3:13; 4:3; 5:23; 2 Timothy 2:21; Hebrews 2:11; 10:14,15; 12:14; 13:12. Also see Isaiah 26:3.12

Seymour admonished men and women to “remain before God until His all cleansing blood [made them] holy” – spirit, soul and body. He stated God calls men and women who will “live a holy life free from sin”. He also warned, “it is holiness or hell”.

Concerning healing, Seymour taught “sickness and disease are destroyed through the precious atonement of Jesus”. Through the atonement man’s physical body is sanctified “from inherited disease”. Jesus Christ will heal every case of disease. God the Father sent Jesus into the world, sanctified Him – spirit, soul and body – and gave Him for the imperfect bodies of men. Men ought to honor Jesus’ stripes, because “with his stripes we are healed”. “Every sickness is of the devil.” Jesus “was manifested to destroy the works of the devil”. [Isaiah 53:4,5; 1 John 3:8]

Seymour also taught before the Fall of Man [Genesis 3:6], man, “pure and happy…knew no sickness”. After “that unholy visitor came into the garden” man’s “system was poisoned”. That poison “has been flowing in the blood of all the human family down the ages until God spoke to His people and said, ‘I am the Lord that healeth thee’”.

Seymour further taught, “the children of Israel practiced divine healing”. David was healed of rheumatism. Seymour told of David’s healing saying,

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name, who forgives all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases’….Healing continued with God’s people til Solomon’s heart was turned away [from God] by strange women, and he brought in the black arts and mediums and they went whoring, after familiar spirits.”

“He hath born our griefs.” The meaning of the word griefs is sicknesses. Since Jesus bore men’s sicknesses, they should not have to bear them. Therefore, full salvation [deliverance form anything an individual needs to be delivered from – including sickness and disease] is available through Jesus’ atonement.

Seymour defined Holy Ghost baptism as an “enduement of power for service and work and for sealing unto the day of redemption”. He stated it comes “upon the sanctified life” and is evidenced by speaking in tongues. However, concerning tongues he admonished,

“We are not seeking for tongues, but we are seeking the baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. And when we receive it we shall be so filled with the Holy Ghost, that He Himself will speak in the power of the Spirit.”

Holy Ghost baptism “gives us [Christians] power to testify to a risen, resurrected Savior” and enables [Christians] to “lift up Christ…in His power to speak all the languages of the world”.

Seymour believed the same commission given to Jesus’ disciples to “Tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high” is also given to the Church. When a Christian is Holy Ghost baptized, he or she has their own Pentecost experience just as the disciples did on the Day of Pentecost. Experiencing Holy Ghost baptism is accepting Jesus “in all of His fullness”.

Seymour also taught Holy Ghost baptism is a requirement for inclusion in the “,marriage supper of the Lamb”. He stated, “Those that will be permitted to enter in are those who are justified, sanctified and baptized with the Holy Ghost – sealed unto the day of redemption.” He compared Holy Ghost baptized Christians to the five wise virgins and non-Holy Ghost baptized Christians to the five foolish virgins. Seymour’s teaching on this subject is an exegesis on Matthew 25:1-13.

Concerning the “office work” of the Holy Ghost, Seymour stated it is “to preside over the entire work of God on earth (John 10:3)”. Jesus sent the Holy Ghost to be the Bishop of the Church. The Holy Ghost infuses with divine power and invests with heavenly authority. “No religious assembly is legal without His presence and His transaction.” Seymour further stated,

“The church had the right idea that we need bishops and elders, but they must be given authority by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and their qualifications for these offices must be the enduement of the power of the Holy Ghost.”

No debates, arguments, or fables at the Churches on Trial...we simply teach Christ crucified

This ministry was ordained of God to tell the world the truth about Christ. We are not based on hype. We are not in it for the money, nor are we in it to gain popularity. The reality is, "Christ is real". He changes things and gives us a better life.

We do not argue. We do not debate. We do not teach fables.  Our intent is to get people to Christ and to teach them God's Word.

The world is lost. So many distractions. Evil is rampant. The pressures of life are intense. The clean heart is the simplicity of Christ in your heart and mine. The Bible teaches that Christians have a clean heart. Christians are holy and right in the eyes of God. Christ is alive and His power is given to those who believe.

This is the plain and simple truth. Christ is the way; the truth; and the life. No room for argument or debate. God said so. It's final. To do the will of God your heart must be clean. Only Christ can clean the heart of man.  Don't be overtaken with the opinions of men. Read it in your Bible.

Truth undermines elegant stories which come from enticing words of men's wisdom. Truth plows under human wisdom with demonstration of the Spirit and power. Truth is only built upon the Word of God. Truth is not open for debate. Truth is only argued by people who reject it or don't understand it's worth. Truth is raw...and simple enough for a child to understand. Truth needs to be stood for and taught more!

At the Churches on Trial we put Churches on Trial because we don't water down truth. We don't compromise, nor do we apologize for teaching truth. Sometimes the truth requires giving up what you have. Sometimes truth seems unusual but it brings comfort to the soul. Brother Lindsey paved the way teaching truth so that's why we publish his timeless messages on this Blog. The Christ Brother Lindsey preached changed Rick Roehms life too. That's why I give my time and life to this cause.

May it bless your life. Thanks for stopping by this Blog to study these things out to see if they be true.  God knows your heart. We appreciate the fellowship. Enjoy the Churches on Trial, a blog started to magnify the cause of Christ in a present evil world. Make Christ your anchor and your joy. Appreciate you stopping by.

Why Holiness? Holy Hubert taught it until he died.

I've often wondered many times why Brother Lindsey taught holiness the way he did until he died. As you all know the subject of holiness goes against the grain of our modern religious teachings.

Did you ever personally wonder why Christians are to be "holy?" Holiness is right in the eyes of God. When you have a clean heart you're holy. When you live holy...God is able to meet every need of your life. With holiness your joy will become "full". Glory! You're settled in Christ!

The settled heart "knows that every sin is forgiven".
The settled heart has a clear conscience in the presence of God.
The settled heart is a happy heart.
The settled heart allows the Spirit of God to have full sway.
The settled heart "knows" Jesus.

The holy heart never gives place to the Devil.

The religious world says man cannot live holy! Thats the biggest "lie" ever told. The Bible says without holiness no man shall see the Lord!

The reasons "Why Holiness?" are many.

Rom 8:32...He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Notice Paul said, "God freely gives us all things". To freely give. To freely give. To freeely give. I like that! God "freely gives what we need if we're children of God". Children of God are holy! In Christ, God makes believers that way!

Did you know "The Spirit of Holiness" is God's way of giving the believer in Christ a "desire" to do right?

Yes, God can take an unholy man and make him holy in the presence of God! Yes, God gives the believer in Christ a desire quit his meanness. How? By the Spirit of Holiness! The miraculous thing about the new birth is that the Spirit of God places in a man the "desire" to quit sin and unholy living. This God given desire is the Holy Spirit's effectual work in the human soul.

Holiness of heart begins when man is "enlightened" to the effect that Calvary has upon the soul of a believer. Holiness from God is revealed to the heart of a believer from the light of Calvary that shines upon the darkness of the human heart. The Spirit of holiness raised Christ from the grave! The Spirit of holiness makes unholy men...Holy men! Holy men are children of God as result of the Spirit of Holiness!

Belief in Christ allows man to recognize the holiness of God that flows from Christ at Calvary! Belief in Christ allows God's Grace to come into man and morally change the way a man thinks, acts, and behaves. The effect of Calvary works upon the heart of man through the Spirit of Holiness. The Grace of God since the death of Christ on the Cross...empowers the Spirit of Holiness to work in the heart and life of all believer's in Christ.

The Bible teaches that God's Divine Grace, New Testament Apostleship, and the Christians personal obedience to God...all flows from the effectual work of Calvary...

Rom 1:1-5...Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Think about the God-given desire to be obedient to God every day of your life. Isn't it a blessing? How precious is the Grace of God that brings Salvation and Holiness to our hearts and lives. Christ blesses us so richly! I love all of you for your participation and fellowship on this Blog! You can be victorious! Live right and do right in the eyes of God...because your blessed! Bring honor to Christ...not dishonor! Glorify and testify to the power of God's Grace. Don't live in disgrace. Tell the world about the Saviour that lives and morally changes unholy men! You've been bought for a price...Nothing can defeat you! The Devil has to flee from the authority of Christ! Your a child of the King! Glorify Him in your body and spirit! I'm getting blessed!

Service tonight at the Upper Room! What a privilege and honor! Serving Christ with a "whole" heart! What a blessing! I'm thankful! Spreading the Word! Building peoples faith! Encouraging others! Bringing enlightenment to the Gospel! Glorifying Christ! Teaching the Word!

Awake to righteousness and sin not! For some have not the knowledge of God.

There are many people today (including Christians) that don't understand that people can live a life of holiness and right standing with God everyday of their existence. When I say this I mean people can live without sin or sinful conduct in the eyes of God. Perhaps some don't understand that man's works toward righteousness "under Law" was not a victorious life but a struggle to keep Divine Law. Maybe they don't understand that righteousness by Grace is not a struggle or man's attempt to reach a certain plateau, "It's a God given the power to do right, to walk worthy, and to be obedient to God everyday of your life". It's Divine power from Christ our Savior to, "Sin not" and to live a holy life. Awakening to righteousness is awakening to the fact that our righteousness under Grace is not what we do...but what our Savior grants and bestows upon us by the Grace and Mercies of God from Calvary. God wants people to "know" this in their minds and hearts. Many people today miss this blessed truth and live a life of defeat rather that victory in their walk with God in everyday living. At the Churches on Trial we teach that Christians can live a life of victory over sin with a victory over sinful conduct...everyday of their Christian life until they die or until they are Raptured. To sin not means this very thing...Christians don't have to sin. Sin is not essential in the heart of a child of God. Christians can sin...but they don't have to. Why? Christ gives members of His church, power... to quit sin completely!

Some people don't fully realize they are still living under the struggle of keeping the Law of Moses rather than having the power to do right under the Grace of God we now have in the Church, the body of Christ. We now can have the Holy Spirit's sanctifying power in our hearts and lives. Sanctifying power simply gives us a desire to be holy, right, and without sin in the eyes of a living God. Much of the modern deception that teaches wavering faith, or walking in the flesh, or struggling to keep Law is caused from living in the past tense teachings of Bible. What they are taught is often a theology in the Law of Moses or the Kingdom Age (in the four Gospels) rather than the bliss of the Grace Age that Christians are now entitled to (since the death of our Saviour on the cross). To be honest with you, many Christians today live in Israel's struggle and their inability to keep the Law of Moses, rather than the blessing of the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit that can "totally" possess a Christian's heart and actions on this side of Heaven. That statement is sad for me to say, but very much true!

Awakening to righteousness is awakening to Christ and his God given righteousness...NOT OUR ATTEMPT TO DO RIGHT UNDER THE LAW WHICH THUS PROVES OUR INABILITY TO KEEP THE LAW BECAUSE ISRAEL FAILED! Righteousness by Grace is a God given righteousness for the Christian to SIN NOT! Righteousness under Grace is not a human struggle like keeping the Law of Moses! Righteousness under Grace is a gift created at Calvary and now given to us today from the Throneroom! GLORY!

There are some people who say we can never have complete victory over sin! They are wrong in their thinking and lack understanding of the truth about God! The New Testament teaches that Christians "have" victory over sin! Every day of their life in Christ. People living a defeated life are living under man's struggle to keep the Law like Israel did when they went into captivity for 70 years; or when Israel murmured in the wilderness after God brought them through the Red Sea; or when Israel rejected Christ during His Earthly ministry. Man's own inability will cause him to fail God! Man's own inability will struggle to live up to the standard of the holiness of the Law of Moses. God knew about man's inability so He sent His son to die which in turn sent the blessing of the Holy Spirit upon us in the Church today. GLORY!

Today, under Grace our faith is not based on what we do...its based on what Christ did and what He's doing right now in our hearts from the Throneroom. Christ's living power in your heart can give you "all" the holiness you need in this life to live without sin. This is an awakening to righteousness... but not your own righteousness...its Christ's righteousness given to you from Heaven. Glory! It's Christ's power in your heart to do right and live right. It's a greater blessing than man attempting to keep Law of Moses...it's the righteousness of the Law "fulfilled" in our hearts by a living Christ. Romans 8:3-6

I admit some people don't know that Christians are supposed to live without sin! Some people don't want to know either! Others are so wrapped up in their theology of living under Law they never enjoy the bliss of the Grace Age taught in the New Testament Epistles. It's sad that people don't "know" the fullness of God's Blessing which allows them to live holy and without sin! It's sad that so many miss the fullness of God's Blessing which is the beginning of a life without sin and disobedience to God. Only life in Christ offers this kind of peace and contentment without wavering. Only this kind of life in Christ can take away the struggle of a back and forth life in and out of sin and Salvation. A life of victory over sin... is freedom brother! It's definately something God wants us to teach at the Churches on Trial. I feel so sorry for those who don't know these things about God. God want's us to know this truth but for many reasons so many miss this great wealth of knowledge. It is this writers desire with love... that all come to the knowledge of the truth about what God gives the members of His body. Examine the following verse closely...

1 Cor 15:34... Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:

Notice, it said that some have not the knowledge of God. That some is who I write to today! This knowledge that Paul speaks of, is a knowledge to know that God can get you to the righteousness of Grace where the believer has no desire to sin. This righteousness is a place where religious people will quit their meanness, and quit practicing sinful conduct! They will awake to a God given righteousness and sin not! Why? They will "know"! They will know. They will know the holiness of Christ. Glory! They will know that Christ gives them victory over sin. Therefore they will...

1 Cor 15:34... Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:

Love victorius...ill will defeated...walk in love ...walk in VICTORY. Glory!

The following is a horrible tragedy in our modern Church World today in 2009. I speak of Christians having ill will toward any man. The Bible says God is no respecter of persons. Christians likewise are to have the same character and the same nature toward all humanity. This is love. This is Christ like love. Is not the love of God shed abroad in your heart by Holy Ghost? Is love to put one man down to lift yourself up or to make yourself look good? Is reaching a position of a higher standard in the eyes of the world give you the Christian the right to look down on any man? For any reason? Come on, "Who do you think you are?" Is this the characteristic or title of a Child of God? Is a seeker of position that looks down upon fellow man a high minded man? High mindedness is defeat. Ill will toward any man is defeat. The Devil wants men that call themselves Christians to be high minded and defeated! No high minded man is ever happy and contented.

Love does not put itself on a pedestal to look down upon "any" man, "any" race, or "any" standard of life. Love is not puffed up with knowledge. Love doesn't criticize or ridicule. Love is victory in Jesus. Love is proof of the sanctified heart. Love doesn't put one man down to build himself up. Love is proof of a living God that changes the heart of a fallen man. Love is proof that a Saviour lives. Love allows the sanctifying power of God to operate in the heart and life of a believer. A heart of love is a state of humility. Humility is not proud. Humility does not boast or seek earthly position or title. Humility is man's recognition that he's "nothing" in the presence of a living Christ. Humility is a servant to God and a servant to all men. Are you a true Christian? Do you have the heart of a servant? If so you have VICTORY! There's VICTORY in love and humility toward all men. There's victory in the heart of a child of God. Are you living a victorious life? Love is not puffed up. Love doesn't look down on a fellow man. Do you want to be sanctified? Sanctification offers VICTORY and lowliness... not haughtiness and proudness that offers defeat! Walk in love and you'll walk in victory. Love proves the sanctified heart and life. Love proves the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. Love flows when man is rid of the many defeats caused from the Adamic life. Ill will toward any man is defeat and the Devil has a field day with this type of character.

Give no place to the Devil. Bring honor to Christ in your character, nature, and toward fellow man. Have no ill will toward any man any social status rich or poor. Don't do all the things that God don't want you to do ...mind the Spirit. You'll find the highest promotion you can receive in this life. Your love and affections will be set on Christ because you've been promoted by Him. You'll know what He made you because you've been promoted by Him. Your heart will understand why you have VICTORY because Christ does the promotion. Glory!

Eph 2:6... And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

This is love my brother and sister. This is true Christianity my brother and sister! This is the Spirit's work in action! It's proven by you; by your life; by your actions and conduct. Christians are promoted by Christ. That's the highest promotion you can get in this life. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Glory! I'm getting Blessed! Glory!

P.S...This writer was inspired to write this after being ministered to for the last couple of weeks by a few of Brother Lindsey's timeless messages on holiness. That's good holiness preaching!

Christians are "partakers" of the Holy Ghost

Did you know Christians are "Partakers of the Holy Ghost?" Yes, Christians taste the heavenly gift of right-standing with God. Christians are given a new nature that's clean and moral. To partake in the Holy Ghost means God puts something within the heart of man that has an experience with Christ. That something is holiness of character that comes from the power of God's Divine Grace. Yes, God puts within man a holiness of heart and conduct that fallen man cannot produce without trust in the redemptive work of Christ. That holiness of character is the outflow of Calvary in the heart and life of a believer in Christ. Men are enlightened to Christ when they hear the truth of the Gospel message.

Heb 6:4-5...For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Men and women who believe and trust in the person of Christ "partake" in a holy nature produced by the Divine Grace of God.

2 Peter 1:4...that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,

That's why the Bible calls Christians, "Holy Brethren and partakers of the heavenly call".

Heb 3:1...Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,

The holy heart is received when man finds forgiveness for his sins through the death of a Saviour on the cross. The holy heart shows man's recognition and subjection to the authority of a living Christ in the Throneroom. The holy heart is a God given nature that far outweighs the sinful nature of man because the power of God is behind it. Christ is behind the divine nature as He regenerates the soul and gives man the God given power to do right. That God given power to do right by far outweighs the power to do wrong because Christ's holiness is behind it! Behind fallen man is a sinful nature that man inherited from the fall of Adam. Behind a saved man is the power of God that created the world, Promised a Saviour, the raised Christ from the dead! Yes, God given holiness of heart from the new nature is far greater than the unholy nature of fallen man. The Holy Spirit says so and so does the Bible!

1 John 4:4..."greater" is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

This writer advocates enlightenment to Christ by the preaching of the Gospel according to the Prophets! This writer advocates holiness and purity of heart in a religious world that does not believe Christians can live without sin! God honors heart purity and right living! Many people do not realize that Christ can provide man with enough power from salvation to live holy and right in the eyes of God. Christ is behind the clean heart! Christ is behind holy living! The Spirit of God that we partake in teaches holy living! The Bible teaches holy living! So does this writer! That's the purpose of this Blog!

God bless you all! I love you!
