The greatest indictment in the Bible

Rom 3:9-13...for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips

This great indictment and very important Bible Truth is a necessary subject for any student of the Bible to know and understand. This great indictment is a Biblical accusation made against fallen man who is criminal in the eyes of God. God's Word from Genesis to Revelation teaches why man is criminal in the eyes of God. Why man is rebellious against the will of God. Why man is a violater of Divine Law. Why man naturally "rejects" Christ; and why behind every sin that man commits is "rejection" of the Lord Jesus Christ.

These many issues are taught in the Word of God and that's the reason why the Apostle Paul compared fallen man to the light of the holy presence of Christ...in all of his preaching. Paul preached Christ and manifested the power of God's Grace. The Apostle Paul in all of his letters made this great contrast between fallen man and the power and glory of the supremacy of Christ. When a comparison is taught between fallen man and the revelation of Christ, man see's himself as he really is. Man see's his fallen void and emptiness. Man see's his rebellious nature that shows him he's an enemy against God. Man in light of Christ see's himself out of harmony with God. Thus he realizes his need for a Saviour.

The Apostle Paul was a converted Jew with knowledge of the fact that Jew's violated the Law of Moses, but Paul also indicted the Gentiles who were also accountable to God by their own conscience. Paul realized all men, both Jew and Gentile were "under sin". Notice the language, "under sin" which implied the carnal nature dominated the heart of man.

What is man? What is the nature of man? How does the Bible define the human being and the human make-up? The Bible teaches the make-up of a whole man is spirit, soul, and body. Within this human make-up and human being is the inherited fallen nature of man that controls the whole man...spirt, soul, and body. What controls the spirit man? What controls the soul of man? What controls the body of man? Within the human make-up you have the mind, the will, the intellect, the thinking, the understanding, the reasoning, etc. All these faculties of the mental process are part of the human make-up. The Bible teaches these faculties are inclined to sin, inclined to reject Christ, inclined to rebell against God, inclined to live unholy, inclined to do wrong, etc.

Notice the following Bible language of the King James version...
Men are under sin
Men are servants to sin
Man is carnal sold under sin
Man is born disobedient because of Adam's sin
Scoffers are "willingly" ignorant...showing the human will is controlled by sin
Men have the deceitfulness of sin within their being
Men have the deceivableness of unrighteousness and receive not the love of the truth
The mind is "blinded" with sin
Human understanding "darkened"
Man is without strength
Men are enemies against God..rebellious by nature...rejecters of Christ
No man is good...no not one

There is no goodness found in the heart of any man. The heart is...polluted with, tainted with sin, and morally corrupt. When you realize that the carnal nature has this much dominion over you...you can then see why man's choices, decisions, and intentions can seem right but still fall short of the Grace of God. Human effort can fail. God's Grace will never fail.

Paul knew about the whole being of man and the entire human make-up. Paul realized that man's natural charcter was controlled by the carnal nature that "compells" man to sin against God.

1 Cor 2:14...But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

A natural man (without God) is lawless by nature. Rebellious by nature. Carnal by nature. Why? Carnal is the make-up of fallen mans nature. The rebelliousness and lawlessnes of fallen man is what Paul was bringing these charges against. This indictment in Roman's 3 brought charges against fallen man... both Jew and Gentile. Why did Paul accuse the whole human family of being guilty in eyes of God. Because man is morally corrupt and sinful. The will is tainted by the fallen nature. The choices are intended to be right but man still does wrong. Why does man choose to do right and still do wrong? He's controlled by indwelling sin which the Bible defines as a carnal and corrupt nature.

Why does God's word say there is none righteous? Because "self" cannot make man righteous. Why don't men understand God? The natural man cannot receive or know about the spiritual things of God. Men don't seek God because they are self seekers. Men cannot go the way of God without God's Grace. God's ways and man's ways are opposite. Men do things "unprofitable" in effort to acheive, to advance toward, or to acomplish God's favor. No man can do good without Christ beause there is no good found in the carnal heart of man. The heart of man is filthy in the eyes of God...so likewise man's tongue and words are filthy also.

Paul made this great indictment against fallen man because he knew how desperately man needs to be saved from the bondage of sin, and liberated from the Devils nature. The Gospel message about who Christ is and what Christ is doing brings the Grace of God to a lost and morally corrupt world. The power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ breaks the yoke of bondage caused from man's siful nature. This power of Divine Grace "gives freedom to the human soul of a believer in Christ". For the first time...man can do right because he's made right by the Grace of God. Man can be holy because he's made holy by the Grace of God. Holiness and righteousness of heart are given when man accepts the person of Christ.

2 Cor 4:3-4...But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Christ "breaks" the human will from rebellion to obedience. Christ turns the attitude of rejection to acceptance. God declares man to "be" righteous and to "do" right. Believers in Christ are led by the Spirit. The human will is taken out of the picture by the Grace of God. We are so blessed to live in this Church Age where Christ performs the greatest of miracles...the "new birth". This blessing and miracle of the new birth found in the Grace of God qualifies man to be baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire...that sanctifies the heart of man from all carnality. Yes, my brother the Grace of God can purify your heart from "all" carnality even as Christ is pure. God's Grace has the power to do it!

Compare God's Grace with Paul's indictment against fallen man and you will see Christ. Compare yourself with Christ and you will either see your need to be forgiven or your need crucified from self. Read the Roman letter in chapter three and ponder this great indictment against fallen man. May it bless your heart and life with Christ.

Amazing Grace...by Hubert T. Lindsey

The following audio/video was orginally recorded at a morning service at the Church at Birmingham in 08/28/1988. It magnifies the greatness of God's Grace and puts Grace in contrast with man's own abilty. The 30 minute sermon comes out of the Philippian Letter with great authority. It magnifies God's Amazing Grace through the power and presence of a living Christ.

Holy Hubert's fellowship with the suffering of Christ

The following Blog is an excerpt from the Hubert Lindsey biography or possible documentary that I hope to publicize someday...

During the turbulent years of Holy Hubert's ministry on the West Coast (in the 70's) Brother Lindsey was injured numerous times by riotous crowds and anti-war protestors. Brother Lindsey considered his suffering strictly a result of the Gospel he preached. Within those riotous mob crowds were certain groups such as members of the Hell’s Angel’s motorcycle group, the Manson family, and members of the Black Panther Movement. As a result of anti-war protestors and mob crowds Hubert was injured over 100 times in one year for the cause of Christ. His wife Phoebe was also physically and mentally injured during that period of time. As a result of those beatings Hubert had lost his eyesight twice however; he was marvelously healed by Christ once. He then became blind again in the mid 1970’s and remained blind throughout the latter years of his ministry until he died. Hubert always confessed that Christ was going to heal those blind eyes again, the second time!

Blindness never affected Brother Lindsey’s preaching for 29 years because he had almost the entire Bible memorized. He could preach endlessly and explain in detail verses, chapters, and books from the Bible with very little intellect or effort. Hubert’s memory was indescribable! His memory allowed him to live up to the nickname, “The Walking Bible.” It’s hard to comprehend but Hubert’s memory of the Bible and ministry of the Spirit allowed him to captivate people’s attention and interest for the cause of Christ. Brother Lindsey would preach Christ in the Spirit and impact hearts and souls with the power of God’s Divine Grace.

Even though Hubert suffered and was beaten numerous times by an ungodly and riotous people he always came back time and time again with love in his heart preaching Christ. Love enabled Brother Lindsey to keep preaching Christ even to those who beat him. His return to that crowd only magnified the true love of God in the heart of a man commissioned to do a work for Christ. Hubert would modestly tell those who hurt him, “I will love you until the end” and he meant every word he spoke.

Any one that knew Brother Lindsey knew his amiable spirit, his compassion for the sinner, and how much he loved humanity. Brother Lindsey never deviated from the love God put in his heart! He hated sin but loved the sinner! Hubert’s love was heartfelt and truly proven by his action as a Christian! His love for humanity even for those who beat him was a testimony for Christ that spoke by his example. Love for God and love for humanity, even for those who beat him is just another reason why Hubert Lindsey was nick named, “Holy Hubert”. Only a true man of God could have a heart to love those who beat him and still not gripe or hold a grudge against them. Brother Lindsey never wavered from his love for man or for Christ. He walked in love as he made himself an offering for the Christ he served.

• Eph 5:2…And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.

Hubert suffered from opposition because his holiness preaching conflicted with the fallen nature of man. Hubert’s compassion toward fallen man allowed him to understand why men “reject” Christ and why men reject Christ’s messengers. Hubert’s love allowed him to love those who rejected him. Hubert Lindsey understood that the fellowship of suffering he experienced for Christ made him conformable unto Christ’s death. Brother Lindsey’s fellowship of suffering allowed him to understand why he was sometimes hated, why he was sometimes rejected, and why he was often misunderstood for the Christ he served. Resurrection power from God helped Holy Hubert Lindsey to endure suffering for the cause of Christ like the Apostle Paul wrote about in his Epistles.

• Phil 3:10-15…That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Hubert expounded on the above verse with much clarity. He used the Greek text of the Bible to explain how that resurrection, can mean being resurrected “out from among the dead”. Resurrection in Philippians 3:10-15 implies a resurrection without dying! Entire Sanctification which was the heart of Brother Lindsey’s Gospel, is the Spiritual work of the resurrection power of God in the heart and life of a Christian, “On this side of Heaven”. Like the Apostle Paul, Holy Hubert Lindsey taught that a sanctified man can deal with suffering for the cause of Christ because Christ suffered. A sanctified man who preaches holiness knows Christ; knows the power of Christ's resurrection; and knows the fellowship of Christ's suffering.

As many of you have already found out there are many details about Holy Hubert Lindsey's opposition and suffering for Christ’s sake that will surface throughout this biography. This writer’s expectations are with hope to clarify how Brother Lindsey’s fellowship of suffering was made perfect in the eyes of God. Holy Hubert Lindsey had a servant’s heart that allowed him to be conformable unto Christ’s death. Hubert gave himself as Christ gave himself. Hubert Lindsey ministered Christ to any one and to every one who would hear. He preached the Open Air for Christ, many years. Holy Hubert’s main objective in life was to get people to Christ's Salvation of the human soul. The sanctified life that Brother Lindsey experienced was the source of power and strength that helped him to endure suffering like all other Apostles suffered before him.

I'll close with these words by the Apostle Peter.

• 1 Peter 4:13-14…But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

Hubert Lindsey's Baptist realization of the power of Divine Grace, "after" Justification

The Baptist denomination strongly advocates the initial invitation and acceptance of Christ in Salvation but that’s as far as they take the Christian experience! Baptist’s emphasize Salvation of the human soul but do not advocate the cleansed heart, the life of holiness, and the believers obedience to God that follows after one receives the forgiveness sins from Christ. The doctrine of Regeneration through the Spirit; Justification by faith; and the new birth where a divine nature is received… are taught under the Baptist persuasion. The doctrine of Entire Sanctification through the Baptism with the Holy Ghost is not! This experience is what Hubert Lindsey claimed he had missed for 26 years as a Calvinist.

Contrary to many denominational beliefs (not just Baptist), the Bible teaches that Entire Sanctification comes in another Baptism which is the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. The Baptism with the Holy Ghost is not a baptism into Christ where a new nature is received through the new birth experience. The baptism with the Holy Ghost is a baptism from Christ in Heaven that cleanses the believer’s heart from a still existing Old Adam that conflicts with the Divine nature received in the new birth. God revealed to Brother Lindsey another baptism through the work of the Holy Spirit that was not Water Baptism by immersion. Brother Lindsey claimed he baptized 9000 people. This particular baptism I speak of pertained to the Spirit’s work of Sanctification that destroys the carnal heart. This is the experience that Brother Lindsey had always claimed he was missing. It was a baptism that a believer receives after the new birth! Hubert then realized that Water Baptism through the ages had pulled men away from understanding the sanctifying power of the Pentecostal experience! The Pentecostal experience is a Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire performed by Christ upon a believer… not a sinner! The Baptism with the Holy Ghost has no relation to water Baptism by immersion performed by a preacher.

The purpose of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire does not deal with the new nature received after God justifies a sinner. God’s declaration of Justification deals with a penitent man! The sanctifying power of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost deals with the old nature that still exists in the life of the penitent believer after God’s Justification is declared! God revealed this to Hubert’s thinking! Hubert realized where he missed it! The Bible teaches that any believer can receive the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire... in this life. This Baptism takes away the process of getting sanctified in heaven after you die! Sanctification performed by Christ from the Throneroom is not performed by a preacher through any act of water baptism. John the Baptist spoke of sanctification when he said, Christ would baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire”. Contrary to the Baptist doctrine and Calvinism God showed Hubert there was more for the believer that followed the new birth. God confirmed to Hubert Lindsey the Sanctifying work of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. This final work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a believer is called Entire Sanctification.

The Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire and the truth of the New Testament records had finally got Hubert Lindsey’s full attention. God had been showing Hubert Lindsey how to get self out of the way for years. All Hubert had to do was to let go of the old Hubert and let God take over! Hubert realized if he got out of the way the truth of Entire Sanctification through the Spirit would destroy the old Hubert! He claimed he learned this from the Word of God. As a matter of fact his whole Theology was destroyed also. He had to re-learn the Bible from this perspective. The Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire spoken of by John the Baptist and Jesus himself was now brought to full revelation upon Hubert Lindsey’s thinking after being a Baptist for 26 years. The beauty of this revelation was this Baptism is a baptism that destroyed a still existing fallen nature in the life of Hubert Lindsey. Hubert was unsettled on that truth for many years! God wanted to destroy what Hubert Lindsey contemplated in his thinking for 26 years. On the human side the struggle with self that came from the Old man in Hubert Lindsey’s life was crucified. Through the Spirit's work of Sanctification the Adamic nature that still tried to rule in the life of Hubert Lindsey was destroyed through the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire.

• Rom 6:6… Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

After being entirely sanctified the Holy Spirit renewed Hubert. Everything in his theology was changed. Everything in his thinking was changed. God delivered Hubert from the Devil’s prison house. After being a Baptist for 26 years Entire Sanctification from the Old Hubert was found to be the missing link. Within that missing link the foundation of the Word in Hubert’s heart had been misconceived and taken out of its proper context. Confusion from the Baptist teaching and practice was a result in Hubert’s mind. Hubert realized the doctrine of "once save always saved" had been hindering the fullness of Salvation for years in his personal life. This fullness of Salvation and change of theology that was given to Hubert’s heart only came through the Sanctifying power of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire.
One night in the basement of the little Methodist Church Hubert died to self and asked God to sanctify his heart entire. Through Hubert Lindsey’s brokenness Christ filled him with the Holy Ghost and fire that night! As a result Hubert was sanctified from the Old man and spoke in unknown tongues as taught in the Bible. Contrary to the Baptist doctrine Hubert was doing something very much scriptural and realized why. That night God confirmed the truth in Hubert Lindsey’s heart and soul. Hubert realized this Biblical gift from the Holy Spirit did not cease at the Early Church as he had always been taught. The result was Hubert’s entire Calvinistic and Baptist theology went straight down the drain. Hubert Lindsey was filled with the Holy Ghost and preached Entire Sanctification the rest of his life as a preacher for Christ.

Christ’s Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire God made Hubert Lindsey a living witness to the fact that God can deliver any man from the Old Adam. Hubert realized traditional teachings and denominational teachings were not teaching the truth about Entire Sanctification as the Bible teaches. Deliverance from the Old Adam only comes upon a believer when he dies and receives the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. Many modern denominational teachings miss that very blessed experience. Hubert never went back to his old Theology nor did he ever quit teaching the truth about Entire Sanctification as long as he lived. Revivals were birthed many times throughout Hubert’s ministry as result of preaching Entire Sanctification and the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. By the Grace of God Hubert’s uncompromising efforts were never in vain as peoples hearts and lives were changed under his ministry and that teaching. This writer and other disciples who were touched by Brother Lindsey’s ministry still carry on the doctrine of Entire Sanctification today.

The recent audio I posted (in the link below) about Brother Lindsey's experience with the "Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire" will confirm this Blog.

A testimony of the Grace of God from Ireland

As all of you know this Blogsite, Brother Hubert Lindsey, and this writer all magnify the Grace of God above all things. We teach the victory of living under Grace and not the bondage of living under the Law. Recently I wrote and published a Blog at ChristianBlog.com titled,

Man struggled to keep the Law of Moses. Calvary took away that struggle

You may read it at the above link if you wish. It was a nice Blog that magnified the Grace of God. A dear sister in the Lord "Bethy" from Ireland was touched by the Blog and made the following comment. With her permission I felt the urgency to publish this beautiful comment that magnified a touch of God's Grace. So, I'm posting her comment at this Blog. May all of you be blessed by this beautiful testimony by Bethy, from Ireland.

When I waken in the morning I do not have to wonder how I will keep the law so as to keep close to Christ. I no longer have to fret over every thought in my head, and wonder if that thought is the one that will damn me forever.

I don't have to work at making myself acceptable to God, for through His Grace I am acceptable to Him in Christ. To me that is the big difference in living under the law and living under grace.
I look at my own life and realise that under the law I could never have become acceptable to this Holy and Merciful God. For the law only highlights my failings and my shortcomings.

May God bless you as you tell others of the Grace of God, for in understanding grace we can understand more our need for it.

Oh the love that
Drew salvation's plan,
Oh the grace that
Brought it down to man,
Oh the mighty gulf
That God did span
At calvary.

The more I understand His grace, the deeper I fall in Love with Him. The more I understand this grace, the more I cannot fathom Why he would love me as he does.. Yet he does and its all because of grace.

Divine Wisdom or Human wisdom..by Hubert T. Lindsey

This audio by Hubert Lindsey that has been buried for many years brings forth a wealth of knowledge about Christ. The knowledge brought forth is based on numerous Old Testament prophecies confirmed in the New Testament. The reason? To take way doubt and unbelief from the heart of man; and to build faith based on the truth of the Word of God! Brother Lindsey was truly a called man of God. The in-depth preaching on this audio brings forth a beautiful contrast between fallen man and the power of God's Grace that comes from Christ. This kind of teaching is not taught much this day and hour. This great Bible lesson undermines the teaching of philosophy and human reasoning in light of of the Grace of God and the truth of God's Word. In the day's of Corinth there were many pagan religions, philosophies, and mixed types of Judaism. The Apostle refuted human reasoning and human intellect that oftentimes interferes with the power of Salvation that comes from the Gospel message. May this great teaching on the wisdom of God bless your heart and life for the cause of Christ. I thank God that provision has been made to continue scattering this timeless material about Christ around the world and around the globe. May the Grace of God bless you the listener as much as does this writer with the truth of God's Word. On behalf of Brother Lindsey, "Enjoy this blessed teaching".

Hubert Lindsey's testimony about being baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire

This blessed audio was made by Brother Hubert Lindsey who was a former Baptist. It was originally recorded on audio cassette and later transposed to CD format for the edification of the body of Christ. Since then it was posted on http://holy.sermon.net by Brother James Allen and today posted by Rick Roehm on the Churches on Trial. Enjoy the powerful and lifechanging testimony for Christ made by our dear our dear Holy Hubert Lindsey. It Biblically clarifies a Baptism that many denominations do not accept or fully understand. May the content of this audio bless you all richly in the Lord Jesus Christ. It can be downloaded, e-mailed, or shared...just click menu on the player below.

Man struggled to keep the Law of Moses. Calvary took away that struggle.

In order to see human struggle more clearly let's go back before Christ died at Calvary. To a time of the dispensation of the Law of Moses before Grace came, before the Spirit of God flowed from the cross at Calvary, and before the Church the body of Christ came into play as we know it today.

A Jewish man grew up in a religious culture to do religious works in the domestic life, in the social life, and in his personal life before God. From his youth he worked to learn and to keep the Law of Moses or he was a violator to the commandments of God, which were 613. The first five books of the Old Testament contain these 613 commands given by God, not just the 10 commandments written in the tables of stone. Jewish religious works were difficult and daunting to keep and practice. Man struggled daily to learn and practice the many ordinances and statutes that the Law of Moses required him to keep in order to be holy before God. The Law of Moses required the righteous works of man which every Jewish man struggled to do. The reason it was a struggle for man to keep the Law of Moses is because of the rebellious will of man, the Adamic nature.

The Adamic nature was in total opposition to the Law of Moses. God said to do... the human nature says don't do it. The inner struggle of a Jewish man to obey God was almost endless because his natural will was forever inclined to disobey the Law of God. There was no full time operation of the Holy Spirit (as we know the Spirit in the Church today) to lead, to guide, and to direct the practitioner of the Law of Moses. Under Law righteousness was not a gift from Heaven as we know it through Christ our Saviour and Redeemer. The righteousness of the Law was achieved and advanced toward by the religious works of a Jewish man. Only self, human will, and man's natural inclinations and tendencies were able to govern man's choices and decisions to do right. This was a problem for man under the Law of Moses because of inherited unrighteousness that man was born with. Man had to struggle with all he had to live up to God's standard of righteousness. That's why men under the Law of Moses failed over and over again without victory. There was no victory for man over the inner struggle before Christ went to Calvary and birthed the Church, the body of Christ.

During the period of the Law of Moses men had no power from God's Grace like we have it today in the Church, the body of Christ. Men of old had only future hope in prophecy of a Messiah who would be despised and rejected of men. They had no actual crucifixion of a Saviour to die once at Calvary which in turn offered a blessed and eternal forgiveness for their personal sins. Under the Law of Moses men only had a Levitical Priesthood, a particular priest, and a Temple that offered only a place for men in Israel once a year to take our lambs, goats, and bullocks as a sin offering for their yearly atonement. The Law of Moses offered man no redemptive work of Salvation within the heart and being like Salvation today. The Law of Moses gave no freedom from the guilt of sin that men bear in their hearts and conscience. Under the Law of Moses men carried the whole load of guilt in the conscience. Under the Law men struggled to do as God said because the inclination of man wanted to do differently. Men wanted to go their own way and not the way of God. Men struggled daily to learn and obey the 613 commandments of which if they broke one Law they were guilty of them all.

James 2:10...For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

How blessed we are today in the Church to have a Saviour who said, "It is finished"! What Jesus meant by that statement is man no longer had to struggle to be right with God. Righteousness would now come into the human soul as a gift from God through man's belief and trust in what Christ did for each and every believer personally, on Calvary's Cross. The Law was abolished and Grace came into play! Man would no longer have to bear the burden of guilt for all past sins because Christ was the chastisement of our peace. Jesus said after His death, "It is finished". The conscience of a believer in Christ is freed from guilt by the Grace of God. Christ suffered and died on the cross at Calvary so man wouldn't have to struggle to do right. Human works of the Law of Moses were taken out of the picture and the finished work of Christ at Calvary became the center stage for all humanity. This Divine Revelation comes through the preaching of the Gospel. In the Church age now... man could be made right by the Grace of God because Christ said it is finished! Christ suffered and died so we wouldn't have to struggle anymore like men of Israel struggled to keep the Law of Moses. Even holiness today is not achieved by man's obedience to keep the Law of Moses. Holiness is enacted by the Grace of God that flows from the effects of a Saviour on the cross which in turn reflects upon the human soul of a believer in Christ.

There is no struggle under Grace to do right in the eyes of God, but under the Law of Moses it was a constant struggle to keep the Law of Moses. In Christianity there is no bondage from religious works, its simply liberty and peace found when the person of Christ takes over your heart and life. The blessing of the Holy Spirit comes in and makes the unsaved man a child of God. Under Grace man can have power from above to govern his actions and conduct! Glory! A man under Grace doesn't have to follow rules, statutes, laws, and commands. Under Grace the heart is cleansed by the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit becomes the law of God in the heart of a believer. No more need to offer animal sacrifice once a year. Christ was made sin for us so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him! Under Grace it is not a struggle to be holy in the eyes of God because holiness is found through personal enlightenment to the Christ of Salvation. Holiness of heart is found when personal forgiveness is found in the new birth. Christ meant what He said, "It is finished". Not more struggle for man to do! It's about what Christ did! It's about what Christ is doing now from the Throneroom! Human works to achieve God were finished at Calvary! Now, God comes into the heart and character of man as a result of belief and trust in Christ and His finished work on the cross at Calvary. Men under the Law of Moses could not experience this great treasure and blessing. Glory, we can today in the Church under Grace.

Christ took away our struggles at the cross at Calvary. Hallelujah! Christ gave us a better life today in Christianity than any man could ever work for under the Law of Moses. Hallelujah! We walk in the God-given Spirit not in the flesh. Under the Law the flesh directed mans footsteps. Under Grace the Spirit of God directs our footsteps.

Rom 8:3-4...For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us,

Aren't you glad we're under the blessing of Divine Grace today in the Church, instead of the Law given on Mt. Sinai?

Rom 6:14-15...for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Man doesn't struggle to have the Grace of God. Grace doesn't come by human works. Grace is the operation of the power of God's Salvation in the human soul. Grace makes men the workmanship of God not by human works but by the finished work of Christ that flows from Calvary. Men do not struggle to obtain Grace. Grace is freely given because of your personal belief and acceptance of Christ as Lord and Saviour. Under law men struggled! Under Grace men receive the blessing of Christianity..."freely".

Rom 8:32...He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

1 Cor 2:12...Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

The Holy Spirit (the reprover) deals with the negative side of life

In God's plan for humanity it was necessary for Christ to go to Calvary so that the Holy Spirit could minister to the hearts of men in the unbelieving world. The power of Calvary is ministered through the preaching of the Gospel message. The Holy Spirit is behind the preaching of Christ and shows sinful men what they really are in light of our Saviour. At Calvary...the Church was birthed. The law was abolished and the Grace of God was given to allow the ministry of the Holy Spirit to deal with the negative side of humanity.

When Jesus foretold of His death at Calvary He called the great blessing of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. The Comforter came after Christ's death at Calvary. Jesus knew of the comfort the Holy Spirit could provide fallen man with after His ascension to the Father. Jesus knew the Holy Spirit would reveal His presence and holiness...and reprove man of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit...a reprover...shows man who Christ is. The Holy Spirit...a reprover...shows man what he really is in light of the person of Christ. The Holy Spirit..a reprover...ministers truth, holiness, and righteousness to the heart of man and to the unbelieving world.

Jesus sent the Comforter to "reprove" and deal with the negative side of humanity. The purpose of the ministry of Holy Spirit is to reach the unbelieving world with the truth about who Christ is and what Christ does within the Church, the body of Christ, today. The unbelieving world has to recognize Christ in order for their fallen will to be broken. A broken will allows Christ to get man's attention. Only God has the power to break the rebellious will of fallen man. The Holy Spirit has the power to reprove, convict, and break the human will enough to cause fallen man to turn to Christ and receive Him as Saviour and Redeemer. The Holy Spirit sways the heart of man to repentance. The Holy Spirit sways the heart of man to belief and acceptance of Christ. The Holy Spirit "reproves" and "convicts" man just enough to get him to Salvation.

Examine the following words of Christ concerning the Comforter, closely.

John 16:7-11...Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

This is why Christ commanded us to preach the Gospel. It's the power and ministry of the Holy Spirit behind the Gospel message that reproves, sways, and converts the human soul to Salvation. Glory to God! The Spirit of God shows us who Christ is, then we see ourselves as we really are. The Holy Spirit reproves! The Holy Spirit deals with the negative side of life.

The walk of a believer...a sermon by Rick Roehm

The following video/audio was a sermon preached by Rick Roehm at an Upper Room service some time back. It was just recently made by Brother James Allen into video and posted on YouTube. The sermon will take you into the Ephesian Letter to glorify Christ and teach how Christians live.

I am so blessed by the good work that Brother Jim did by making this into a video. May it bless others as much as it did this preacher.

God's first promise of Christ was made to the Devil in Gen. 3:15

After God created man and woman in the Garden of Eden He commanded both Adam and Eve to obey Him. The serpent slipped in, deceived Eve and caused the first members of the human family...to fall from communion and harmony with God. The Fall was the Original Sin spoken of in the Bible. That's why the sin of Adam made every human being born afterwards "polluted" with sin.

After the Fall of man God cursed the Devil and the Earth. Man was thus effected by the curse that God made. Within the curse also came a promise from God of a Saviour and Redeemer, Christ. The promise was that Christ would bruise the head of Satan. The promise was that Christ would be bruised on the cross at Calvary. The promise God made to the serpent was the first prophetic utterance made in the Bible. It was recorded by Moses in the first book of the Torah...Gen. 3:15.

Within that first promise lies the complete plan of Salvation from God for all humanity. Within that promise is a Saviour that would suffer, bleed, and die to destroy the works of the Devil. Fallen man would thus show the disease of the entire human family up to this present hour. The supremacy of Christ in His death burial, and resurrection would show how the power of God has prevailed and triumphed through the, pages of history. The miracle contained in that first promise is that the promised Christ is cure for the disease. Hallelujia! Sin is the disease. Christ is the cure.

Christ was promised in Gen. 3:15 to destroy the works of the Devil! Christ was promised to be born of the seed of a woman. God told the Devil he made a serious mistake when he beguiled Eve. This prophecy is the foundation of the true Gospel message. It contains the truth about Christ. The truth about what God promised. The truth about what man is, and the truth about how man can be delivered and cured from the disease of sin.

Glory to God! I'm thankful for this promise! My Salvation is based on what God said! My hope lies in Him and His promises. I live a present life of victory in Jesus, and have a future life to be with Him in Heaven or with Him in Heaven on Earth. Christ is the anchor of may Salvation. Christ is the future of my my hope! I am not ashamed of the Gospel as it is the power of God to everyone that believes. Here's the first of God's promises about my Saviour.

Gen 3:14-15...And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

You don't have to let the old nature get the best of you

Christians! There is a better life than having an inner struggle going on in your heart...all the time. God doesn't want Christian's to struggle with the sinful nature. He gives man a way to get rid of sin. God provides a means of deliverance from the struggle caused from the old nature. It's called sanctification by the Grace of God. The struggle with the Old Adam is what many Christian's deal with at this present hour. This struggle allows the devil's nature to get the best of people from time to time... but it doesn't have to be that way. Greater is He that's in you than he that's in the world. The Bible teaches Christian's are able to overcome the wicked one. It's also clear that this statement is true in a saved man's life...before he gets sanctified.

1 John 2:14...and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

1 John 5:18..We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

People are no taught about this in the Church World. If people were taught about this...they would find out they could be delivered from the devil's nature instead of defeated by it. It would be confirmed with the Holy Scriptures and then you would see alot more victorious Christian's. They wouldn't allow the old nature to knock them down as much. They wouldn't allow the Devil to find a place in their lives. They wouldn't constantly proclaim defeat. They would be professing victory over the Old Adam. People would have a stronger witness and understand the truth of the Holy Scriptures more. Sanctifying power that follows the new birth... can be found and experienced in this life unlike what they are told through through human opinion. I realize the Devil can knock a man down and God will pick him back up. Over and over again. A sanctified man won't let the Devil knock him down. The power of God's Grace in the sanctified heart gives man a better life and a stronger grip on the Holy Spirit. This life produces a life of victory over the Old Adam.

The life of victory over the Old Adam is not found in the new birth. The new birth is where forgiveness is found not victory over the Old Adam. Victory over the Old Adam is found after man is born of the Spirit. A new life is made in Christ then crucifixion to self occurs. The believer realizes he has to get out of the way in order to have the life without struggle, without the inner conflict, and without the war in his members. That life is found only through a sanctified heart given by the Spirit of God. Entire sanctification can be found and experienced on this side of heaven. Yes, you can be entirely sanctified on this side of Heaven. When sanctification is found (in the life of a believer in Christ) the Old Adam will not get the best of you anymore. The struggle with the old Adam is taken away. You don't have peace in Christ you have the peace of God that "rules" your heart. No more inner conflict. No more war in your members. No more struggle with self.

Sanctification is not a progressive experience that gradually comes in the life of a believer. It's the final work of the Holy Spirit unlike the initial work of the Spirit in the new birth. Sanctification takes place upon a believer (not a sinner)...like it did upon the Apostles on the day of Pentecost. Then later this subject is taught by Peter who testified this same sanctifying experience took place upon the Gentiles (house of Cornelius) like it did on them on the day of Pentecost. The Gentiles had experienced a purifying experience in the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire like the Apostles did on the day of Pentecost. They were saved first (born of the Spirit) and then later they received the sanctifying power of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost right on the spot...instantaneously. they were filled! They were emptied of self! They were purified from the Adamic life! Sanctification came to purify their hearts from the still existing nature of the Old man. This purification by the Spirit of God dealt with the Old Adam that still existed in their lives. They were already saved prior to this Baptism with the Holy Ghost. So what were these saved men purified from? The Old Adam.

Acts 15:7-9...And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

God knows the Old Adam can get the best of people. He gives man a way to be delivered from that. Sanctification through the baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire is the only way to find victory over the Old Adam. Sanctification "purifies" or ""burns up" the Old Nature. That's what John the Baptist meant when he said,

Matt 3:11-12...I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Christ will burn up the chaff in your heart. Christ purifies and sanctifies! Christ destroys the Devil's nature. Christ forgives the sinner in the new birth...but Christ gets the believer out of the Devils prison house...when the believer is sanctified entire with the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. Then the old nature will not get the best of you anymore. The new new nature now rules without a struggle...by the Grace of God! Isn't that beautiful?

This stuff needs to be taught more! This stuff needs to be experienced in the hearts of faithful men...then it needs to be lived out and witnessed. What better place than Churches on Trial? Sanctification will produce fruit. The fruit of Sanctification is... the Old Adam will not get the best of you anymore. Amen?

You can live with a constant victory over sin

What I mean about constant victory over sin is this. If you're saved by Grace...the power of Divine Grace can give you constant victory over the "acts of sin" and the "sinful nature" both. God doesn't give us this Great Salvation to continue in sin and sinful conduct. Grace abounds and provides the child of God with power enough to maintain a constant victory over the acts of sin.

Rom 6:1-2...Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.

Alot of Christians don't know this fact, "Sin is not essential to the Christian life". The Bible teaches us that we are "overcomers". What is an overcomer? Overcomers have the Grace in their lives to overcome sin. Overcomers have constant victory over the acts of sin.

The miracle of the new birth provides the believer with the power to do right. Before the new birth man is powerless and helpless to the dominion of sin. With the new birth a Christian has righteousness which is simply power to do right. Did you know righteousness that comes from Christ stimulates man's desire to live godly rather than ungodly? Righteousness is a gift of God's Grace.

Rom 5:17...they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

The gift of righteousness alone is enough to have a constant victory over sin and sinful conduct. Sin causes people to violate God's Law...but Christians are freed from sin the Bible says.

Rom 6:7... For he that is dead is freed from sin.

What is freedom from sin? Freedom means you escaped from the bondage of sin. Sin doesn't control a Christian! You may hear that it does but the Bible doesn't teach that stuff. Freedom is freedom. the Bible says so! Freedom means constant victory from the confines of sin. Freedom means Christ set me free. Freedom means Christ governs this heart and life. Freedom means I got away from sins bondage and the lusts of the flesh. I am free from lustful thoughts. I am free from pride. Yes my brother and sister Christians can be free indeed. What I mean is constant freedom that brings every thought into captivity to an obedience to Christ. Constant victory! You can live that way. Any Christian can live that way!

The Bible teaches Christians "escape" the corruption that's in the world. How? by having a divine nature!

2 Peter 1:4...ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that's in the world

Bloggers...I do not write these words with pride or out of demand to do something. I just know that Christ who washed us with His blood and gave us His Holy Spirit gave us HIs keeping power. Yes, He has power to keep us and preserve us. He has power to give us an every minute, every hour, everyday victory to be the men and women that He wants us to be. There is no shame living a life totally dependant on a Christ who not only forgives but gives the holy heart, the new nature, and a righteousness by Grace. All this so you can have..."constant victory".

You see my brothers and sisters in the the Grace covenant we don't "seek" righteousness. We've got it! Righteousness is given in the new birth. Righteousness is "found" by the believer. Righteousness is experienced! Righteousness is not progressive! Righteouness is lived out with constant victory over sin. A Christian life don't have to waver back and forth from righteousness to unrighteousness. Wavering is not a good thing. The Bible doesn't teach us to waver. The Bible does teach us to be steadfast.

James 1:6-8...But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Heb 10:23...Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Just a little tid bit of encouragement...not telling people what to do but telling people who Christ is! What Christ gives is the power for us to be the men and women He wants us to be. Our obligation is to live with a constant recognition to the holy presence of a living Christ. Christ from the Throneroom gives us constant accountability and victory over sin. He gives us what's needed to live up to His standard of holiness and right living. Actually the Bible says He makes us "more than" conquerors. Be single minded...keep your eyes on Him! You don't have to sin.

Rom 8:37...in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

God doesn't want you to be bound with sin. God doesn't want you to struggle with sin. Be free from because you know you've been freed by the power of God! Be happy because your life in holiness has delivered you from the guilt of sin! Be contented with a life of obedience to God with consciousness to His presence. Try it for one week, one month, one year! Glory! You're single minded! Christ made you that way! You can have and live your life with a constant victory over sin! Thanks be to Christ He'll show you "real life" through a different set of eyes.

Truthful men, honest men, and sober men

The subject of this Blog (inspired by Brother Lindsey) is about the basis of Christianty that so many people strive to reach without ever taking hold. Striving is a big problem in the religious world. Striving is a form of works and sometimes even religious practice. If man continues to strive to reach Christianity it will never happen. Christianity is not reached by striving or any type of human effort. Christianity is "found" through acceptance of Christ. There is no other way! Then, God takes over your soul, your mind, and your thinking through the presence of His Holy Spirit. Christianity (like many people think) is not based on what man does. Christianity is based on the redemptive work of Christ in the human soul. Redemption performed by Christ is what makes a liar into truthful man. Redemption performed by Christ is what makes a dishonest man honest. Redemption performed by Christ is what takes a beer or wine drinker to a place of never drinking another drop of strong drink or alcohol. No striving or maturing process here...only the changing power of God's Grace. God's Grace has nothing to do with human effort whatsoever.

There is a tremendous misconception of what real Christianity is in this modern religious era. Christians are holy and the Bible says so! Holy men are made holy by the Grace of God found through the redemptive work of Calvary in the human soul. What Christ did on the cross is not blanket protection for sinful conduct as many people believe and practice. The Bible does not excuse sinful conduct in the life of a believer. God does not excuse sin in your life if you're a Christian! Holy men do no do unholy things. Holy men do not think unholy thoughts. If people in the name of Christianity still live like this... they sin against God! Period! Even Jesus taught the doctrine that a man was even accountable for His thoughts! What a man thinks can even be a sin!

Matt 5:28...That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mark 7:21-23... For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

James 1:14-16...But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.

There is no way a man can be a truthful man and tell a lie and still be truthful. There is no way a man can be an honest man if he steals something and still be honest. There is no way a man can drink alcohol and still be sober. Christians are sober men and never desire to have drugs, alcohol, or strong drink. Christians desire to be sober because being sober is a God Given desire and makes men good witnesses for Christ. Children of God do not desire to indulge in mood altering substance whatsoever! Especially in this Grace Covenant where we have the directive of the Holy Spirit showing us how to live, act, and behave. Children of God can see the ruination and harmful effects drugs and alcohol have in our present society. It's an open shame and even the sinful side of life will admit that fact!

I've written all the above to ask you the reader this one question? Can a truthful man tell a lie and still be a truthful man? Can an honest man steal something and still be an honest man? Can a sober man drink alcohol and still be a sober man? The answer is, "No". Therefore a Christian can not commit sin an still be a Christian. It's that simple. Living right is a blessing that the unsaved world never experiences. Living right brings honor to Christ. Living right comes from the changed heart given the Spirit of Holiness.

As mentioned above Christ's redemptive work at Calvary was not a work of redemption to permit the believer to commit sin and still call himself a child of God. God does not excuse sin! Yes! He does forgive sin but He doesn't blink His eyes at it or excuse it! Christians are to be holy! Christians are to be truthful! Christians are to be honest! Christians are to be sober! Christians are to live holy which in turn allows them to "stop" practicing sin. As long as a Christian remains in this God given state of holiness he will live according to God's standard every day of his life! That's why the Bible teaches Christians to, "Prove what is acceptable to the Lord". Prove it with Joy! Prove it as a witness! Tha witness will be honest, truthful sober, and HOLY! Glory to God!

In closing, please examine the following verse as a word from the Lord...It is my desire to encourage all believers to have this mindset toward those who struggle with a misconception about sin and sinful conduct in the life of a beleiver.

James 5:20..Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Hubert Lindsey's Gospel message is timeless...it still lives today

As I continue to gather information about Brother Lindsey (the walking Bible) to publish on this Blog I keep running into so many people who were effected by his ministry across this nation. The phenomenal thing is hearing about the "fruit" that was produced by the Gospel that Brother Lindsey preached!

So few people today hardly know that Brother Lindsey was a man who lived a life dedicated to Christ and a life dedicated to winning people to Christ. He taught Bible truth about holiness of heart and conduct and he proved it by his love for humanity. Brother Lindsey loved humanity and wasn't partial to sex, race, social status, titles, or man's position in the world. Brother Lindsey just preached Christ and lived for Christ. He dealt specifically with every walk of life.

Holiness of heart and conduct was the core of Brother Lindsey's ministry because holiness produces love, humility, and compassion. Granted Brother Lindsey had confrontations with the unsaved but his primary message was the Gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ that got people saved. Yes, He preached the "turn or burn" message but he also loved the sinner. He just hated sin and found no excuse for sin in the life of a Christian. He knew the harm that sin caused in a sinful mans life. Yes, Brother Lindsey did condemn sin because he loved righteousness. Did you know God condemns sin? Think about how the Holy Spirit "reproves" the negative side of life.

Countless testimonies from 40 years back still continue come forth and edify the Christ that Brother Lindsey preached. Countless testimonies continue to come forth from the Churches of Trial Radio broadcast in Detroit of which I base this Blog on. Yes, the Christ that Brother Lindsey preached got a hold on Rick Roehm also! I'm thankful for it too! I've been dedicated to this ministry for 24 years...with joy and gladness! It has meaning to me because God used Brother Lindsey to bring the Gospel to this writer. That's why I write and encourage others. Today I am honored to say this Blog is going around the world for Christ. God is behind it! Glory!

The intent of this ministry and this Blog is not to put Brother Lindsey on a pedestal as a man, but simply to magnify the Christ he preached. To keep the ministry alive! To carry on what Brother Lindsey started! That's the intent of this Blog! To carry on a ministry that was left behind on audio and to continue the rich Bible doctrine that he acquired in his 72 years in the ministry. I encourage any of you to study the teachings that Brother Lindsey put into audio format. They will give any of you an excellent foundation in the Bible and build a faith that will last for the long haul.

Please review the audios at this site and http://sermon.net/holy . There are many by Hubert Lindsey. I recommend God's Theocracy (6 audios) ; Born of Water; and The walk of a believer.

There are many more audios coming this Winter! This ministry is my life also. I have gospel tracts available also that will coincide with everything that Brother Lindsey taught. Just contact me and I'll send. There are 14 tracts available. I recommend the one on Law and Grace.

Also I have put a link to another site where I publish my Statement of Faith at the Upper Room which is the Church I built and pastor in Williamsburg Ohio.

The natural man

A frail voice from Britthaven nursing home in Raliegh, NC was the voice for Christ before Brother Lindsey passed. I looked forward to our frequent phone conversations about the things of God and the truth of His Word. Brother Lindsey's compassionate heart and knowledge about Christ left an impact on this writer that will never be forgotten. That was one of the things that prompted this Blog.

I remember on one occasion, Brother Lindsey quoting the scripture verse about the "natural man". Brother Lindsey carried this heartfelt conviction and belief with him all the way into eternity. His frail yet authoritative voice stated the following verse...

1 Cor 2:14...But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

That day I realized a natural man was not a spiritual man. A natural man doesn't have Christ in his heart. A natural man does not receive things from the Spirit of God. To be honest spiritual things are foolishness to a natural man. A natural man has no knowledge of deliverance from sin nor does he know anything about having a clean heart.

Being able to understand and distinguish what is spiritual and what is not spiritual has been one of the greatest blessings this writer has ever received in this life. In 2010 I am honored to be a child of God led by the Spirit of God. I am honored that Brother Lindsey had enough holy boldness to tell this writer the truth about what a child of God really was. I have cherished those talks and conversations from Brother Lindsey for many years as they have built this writer up in the faith that I have in Jesus Christ. I have always trusted the message that Brother Lindsey preached for Christ. God honored that preaching as Brother Lindsey simply led me to believe and trust more in the Christ he served.

So many times Brother Lindsey brought the word of knowledge to this writer. He taught me the contrast between fallen man and the power of a resurrected Saviour. Yes, I remember vividly that frail voice describing the "natural man" as taught in the Bible. Today in my personal ministry I see the natural man in the world I live in. I've witnessed spiritual men going back to their natural state as they fell into sin, left Christ, and had their conscience seared like with the hot iron. The natural man is hopeless and without strength to overcome sin. He is a fallen being destitute of truth and righteousness that comes from the person of Christ that saves us. The natural man will even reject the truth about Christ because he imagines that it is foolishness or that man cannot have a holy heart or live a holy life. A natural man grows to enjoy the pleasure of sin and wrongful living above obedience and right-standing with God. A natural man is without the Spirit of Holiness.

This blog site is dedicated to Brother Lindsey's ministry for Christ. That ministry still impacts lives today in 2010. I respect the fact that Brother Lindsey taught this writer how to be a full time believer and not a part time believer. Brother Lindsey did not teach sinning religion...he taught that Christians were "full time" spiritual men and not natural upon occasion. The great contrast that he taught was that a natural man was fallen before the new birth. After the new birth man was no longer fallen he became, saved by the Grace of God. The believer in Christ becomes a spiritual man who lives, walks, and talks the Spirit life of a child of God.

The natural man is made a spiritual man when Christ is found in the human soul. I thank God for those little and simple conversations with Brother Lindsey. I look forward to sharing Eternity in Heaven with Brother Lindsey when I leave this life. Until then I will serve the Lord with a whole heart and always remember the impact that Brother Lindsey had on this writers life.

Our message is going around the World

Before Brother Lindsey died him and I conversed often. We discussed this Gospel and the depth of the knowledge that is behind this great teaching

As you know from reviewing our site the depth of knowledge we have about Christ has alot to do with our faith. At the Churches on Trial we put alot of good food on the table. I once asked Brother Lindsey what to do with all this knowledge. He responded, "Scatter it".

Little did either of us know that this great truth would be publicized around the globe just five years later. I have published much of this audio material but I have "alot more" to publish. Perhaps that will be my Winter Homework assignment for Christ.

I'd like to thank all of you for coming to our site via Internet. Brother Lindsey would be honored if he were still with us. I know Christ is honored. Spread this truth through Germany, Netherlands, Singapore, Canada, Taiwan, China, etc.

I Rick Roehm love all of you and appreciate you taking time to stop in and share the Christ of our Salvation. We do not do this work for Christ for a profit, we do it because we love Christ. Help us to scatter this material around the world as we take a stand for a Christ that not only died but who is risen and exalted at the right hand of Father. We stand for the holiness of God and right living in 2010.

May Christianity prevail in this cold dark world. More audios coming...but be sure to listen to all the audios/videos we already have posted here at the Churches on Trial, sermon.net/holy, Tangle, youtube, photobucket, and many others. All for the glory of Christ. We thank God for the ministry of Brother Hubert Lindsey left behind for us to carry on until we die or Christ returns in the Rapture.

With love,
Rick Roehm a sevant for Christ
PS...if your life was effected by this ministry or the ministry of Hubert Lindsey please send us your testimony and it will be posted on this site for the Glory of Christ. Christ is behind this ministry. People need to hear about it!

A families testimony of how Christ effected their lives by the ministry of Hubert Lindsey

Howard's testimony concerning Hubert:

First, I would like to give due respect to Rick Roehm for his Timothy-like faithfulness in his own ministry. Just as Paul committed his words to his faithful and beloved Timothy, knowing they would be honestly and diligently dispensed, so Rick has been faithful to dispense the words and works of the modern-day apostle, 'Holy' Hubert Lindsay, which so many of us were blessed to meet on our own paths to glory.

God will surely bless him for that.

We met Hubert in the 1980's and were blessed by his own personal ministry at that time. He spoke personally of some of the sufferings in his family (especially his wife) for Christ's sake. Compared to much of modern-day Pentecostal circles, his ministry and person were like meeting the first century apostles. After Paul's own words of being established in the gospel of grace, he helped tie up certain loose ends of doctrine and life that had plagued me for many years.

As Paul spoke of Timothy, though many seek their own, Hubert sought the things of Christ in his own life. He was that rarest breed of minister who held to the truth of the Pentecostal Reformation earmarked by such great ministers as DuPlessis, Wigglesworth, John G. Lake, Etter and many others in the great outpouring started at Azusa street.

Truly, Hubert sought to follow Paul as Paul followed Christ, and in hearing his messages, we were like the dead man who, cast upon Elisha's dead bones, was instantly brought back to life. I thank God for Hubert's obedience to his calling. In trying to distill my experiences of Hubert, in 56 years of evangelistic work, street ministries, missionary and church work, he is one of the very few people I had absolute confidence in.

Even right now, in viewing television and listening to a number of ministries, when my soul feels plagued or vexed, I go and listen to Hubert's messages to restore my Christian balance and lift myself up in the Spirit above the false and shoddy teachings which have crept in and overtaken the Pentecostal Reformation.

Lee's Testimony of Hubert:

Hubert seemed a funny man, but a dear brother in the Lord when I first met him. I thought him a bit peculiar, but loved him as my brother--just as I felt he loved me in the Lord. I was very young in the Lord then, and had little knowledge of true doctrine, nor did I have any idea how great a part Hubert would play in God's formation of truth in my own soul.

As someone saved outside the church, I had little knowledge of the religious (as opposed to spiritual) aspects which creep in and defile even the most well-spoken-of Christian circles. As my eyes became opened to these, I found the messages of Hubert to be a great blessing in one particular way.

I began to have a great hunger to know the great themes of the Bible. To know its truths and its purpose: to know God's plan and His carrying out of it and how it all would come about. God blessed this and encouraged me to study His word, and as I did, I became more and more free of the dictates of men and more and more conscious of what God really said. One of my most profound discoveries was that very often the things which even the best-intentioned and devout of us label 'good' are actually quite evil, while the things we label evil simply by appearance (God judges by the heart) may be God's actual will. The trouble is with most of us, is that we forget to ask God's opinion about which is which, and just presume to assume.

Some might take Hubert's screaming as an example. You listen to his messages and you might think he was crazy. But once you get past the shouting and listen to the words, you begin to see the sense of what he had to say, and that his shouting was often a means of dealing with our own deafness of soul and hardness of heart.

God has fulfilled the desire of my heart which He used Hubert to help give birth to. I now have an understanding of scripture which I have had people who have asked preachers for 60 years about certain things tell me they could never get an answer to. Why? Because I am some great prodigy of God? No. Because I simply got hungry and asked as a child, and Jesus never turns away a hungry soul. He sent Hubert because He knew I was hungry, but I didn't know for what until Hubert showed up! Thank You, Jesus!

I have learned to be like Hubert in this one thing: Ask (and keep on asking) and it shall be given unto you...the Greek has the connotation of persistence and diligence, for "he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM".

Behold not men's faces. Only seek God and He will satisfy your hungry soul and exalt His work in your life.

Real life, real people, real Christianity

There are numerous people across the nation who was affected by Hubert Lindsey’s ministry for Christ. In 2002… a dear brother in Nashville, Tennessee by the name of John Alvarez told me while riding in his vehicle at work one day he was listening to one of Brother Lindsey’s audio teaching (we're attempting to post). John stepped out of the vehicle to speak with a gentleman about something work related and the gentleman overheard an audio playing in John’s audio player. The gentleman asked John who the preacher was and John replied, “Hubert Lindsey”. The gentleman responded, “Holy Hubert? I remember him preaching on campus in 1969 when I was attending college at Berkeley”. That gentleman remembered Hubert Lindsey and his Gospel message for Christ for almost 40 years! Amazing You can go anywhere in the U.S. and meet people that knew Brother Lindsey and his commitment to the cause of Christ! Hearts were changed by Brother Lindsey's ministry for Christ! Lives were changed by the power of the Gospel! Hubert’s preaching impacted people for the cause of Christ for 72 years!

Since then this writer has become acquainted with people from every corner of the United States. That includes people from the East Coast to the West Coast from the Gulf of Mexico to Canada who were made conscious to Christ through Brother Lindsey’s endeavors to preach Christ. I personally recall a couple… in Odessa TX. I became acquainted with by the name of Howard and Lee Mills. They met Hubert and his wife Phoebe in the 70’s when Hubert was traveling from Berkeley to Dallas. Hubert gave the Mills’ family one of his preaching tapes that he had recorded in the earlier part of his ministry. In 2005 the Mills family contacted this writer from the Internet to obtain Hubert’s complete set of audio teachings. The Mills’ received Brother Lindsey’s teaching audios however; they still had the old original cassette that Brother Lindsey recorded and left with them while passing through Odessa in the 70’s. I was so blessed by that occurrence.

There are many factors that made Brother Lindsey’s ministry so affective for Christ but the one that sticks out most is the fact that Hubert was in the ministry for the cause of Christ and nothing else. Hubert wasn’t in it for personal gain, or for the money, for the glory, or for a worldly position. Hubert was in it to get men to Christ and that’s all. He was in it to teach men the truth about Christ…and for no other reason!

The Hubert Lindsey legacy lives...around the world...not just Berkeley

For 24 years I have endeavored to keep Brother Lindsey's teachings and ministry alive. The Lord is behind it now and gaining momentum! Brother Jimmie Allen has just recently got many of our audio/videos on You tube also. We're going places! God's opening doors. Now people can see and hear the Spirit of Christ behind the man, Hubert Lindsey across the nation. This Blog is actually going around the Globe now. Around the world ...not just the U.S. only but...Russia, Denmark, Singapore, Canada, Columbia, Indonesia, China, Taiwan...etc. Hubert wanted this stuff out there! He asked me to scatter it! It's going now! It's being scattered! God knows what is needed.

When I originally received this audio material (after Brother Lindsey's Berkeley days) I realized why he preserved and recorded this stuff on audio cassette. I began my quest to transpose these ancient audio cassettes to CD format and sent them by the hundreds around the nation. Daunting task but very rewarding for the cause of Christ! I only have a small quantity transposed to CD as I still have hundreds that need to be converted in the future. Anyway I was able after the conversion to begin the Internet uploading process that has began to tell the world about the Christ behind Hubert Lindsey. The Churches of Trial has allowed this to happen! Glory! Much farther to go! God is behind us every step of the way! Holiness is the core of this ministry!

You see Hubert Lindsey was a man, and a street preacher...but his quest was to get people to Christ...and then to show them how to maintain their Salvation after the new birth. Many do not know the depth of what Brother Lindsey taught so that's why God is using this ministry to bring that knowledge to light. It is the Bible Truth that we are publicizing at this Blog as it foundates people to endure. God is using this Blog, this ministry, these audios, this Bible Truth, the preserved audio ministry of Holy Hubert not only to get people saved...but to fortify their walk with Christ in this present evil world.

Stick with us and there is much, much more to come. Please review all of the audios/videos we have posted on this site. It can actually be a Theological source that will take the confusion out of your life. Don't forget we are also on Sermon.net/holy, ChristianBlog.com, Tangle (menofthestreet), and now YouTube. Just Google Hubert Lindsey! God Bless and we love you all. Much, much more to come.

What does it mean to believe in vain?

The subject of this Blog is about what the Bible teaches about believing in vain. When I speak of believing in vain I speak of "not actually" believing in Christ. What does it mean to believe in Christ? What does it mean to believe in vain? The Bible says...

James 2:19...the devils also believe, and tremble.

Anyone knows that devils do not believe enough to be converted yet the Bible says they believe. Many people say they believe in Christ...but they actually don't show belief in their actions. Unbelief is shown in the action of man. An unbeliever who professes Christ with his mouth, yet lives a life of disobedience to Christ could very well be believing in vain. The proof of belief in Christ...is obedience to God. Obedience flows from belief in Christ. Belief is an action from the heart of a broken man...toward Christ. The action of belief is caused from the broken will of a sinful man in repentance and godly sorrow. A broken man is a man that truely believes and "knows" Christ for personal forgiveness. The Grace of God teaches this man to deny ungodliness. A broken believer gives consent of his will to Christ, he renounces sinful conduct, and he understands who Christ is and what Christ did for him personally. Forgiveness of sins is "found and experienced" through man's present tense belief in Christ. Belief brings obedience of conduct because the believer "keeps in memory" the things about a Saviour. Christian's have to believe daily unto Salvation. Keeping Christ in memory is a daily thing...not something you did 17 years ago. Daily keeping in memory permits daily belief in a Saviour's holy presence. Daily belief and daily accountability keeps us from...believing in vain.

1 Cor 15:1-4...Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The verse says this is the , "True Gospel" according to the scriptures. The true Gospel is what our faith is based on. The Gospel is a Christ centered truth that gives us something and someone to believe in and trust. Keeping Christ in memory is the secret. The Gospel brings us this blessed revelation from God.

The Gospel is declared...
The Gospel is preached...
The Gospel is received...
The Gospel "saves" the human soul...
"If" you keep in memory what is preached..."UNLESS YOU HAVE BELIEVED IN VAIN"...

Notice it says you have to keep Christ in memory...
Notice it says you can also believe in vain...

Believing in Christ is knowing Him; experiencing Him; experiencing personal forgiveness; understanding your accountability to Christ.

When personal forgiveness is found inwardly through the person of Christ you receive it through belief...
When the heart is made right (cleansed) you receive it through belief...
When you walk in obedience like a child of God should you do it through belief...

This type of belief is a belief that never wants to let go of Christ and His holy presence in their life. Belief brings the power of God's Divine Grace. Belief is actual trust in the redemptive work of Christ at Calvary. Belief is an actual acceptance of a living Christ for personal holiness of heart and conduct. Actual belief in Christ is a reality of clean living with a conscience freed from the guilt of sin.

If you are not experiencing the power of the Gospel in your heart and life you could be believing in vain. The Word admonishes us to examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith. Just a simple examination of self in light of Christ can sometimes allow God to show man what he really needs. Devils believe...but they are not saved. They reject the truth about Christ. They deny the power of Salvation of the human soul. They miss the saving Grace. Keep yourself from believing in vain... believe, accept, and trust Christ as as your personal Lord and Saviour from the heart. Then the Spirit's witness will confirm in your heart that you have it made. You will never turn your back on God. The devil won't be able to pry you out of Christ with a crow bar. You will be immovable.

Col 1:21-23...And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled, In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard,

A testimony of how Hubert Lindsey's ministry effected a former Catholic in Detroit

Looking back 22 years ago to 1988, being a 19 year old young man. I shall never forget meeting Brother Hubert Lindsey. From an infant I was raised in the Roman Catholic tradition into my teen years. I don't ever remember missing a mass except for being on vacation. Even then we often made it because of my mothers devotion to the church. Confession, Catechism, First Communion, the Rosary were all part of my experience.

From the years of five to eleven years old I can remember having a heightened awareness and sensitivity to right and wrong. And often turned to the Rosary for intercession with God. I guess it is hard for me to relate to those who were raised in and are embittered with the Catholic Church. Maybe because I don't ever recall having a hurtful experience there. In my teen years I still attended mass faithfully but that innocence, devotion and purpose left me for a life that reflected anything but Godliness and purity. Looking back now, I should have been ashamed to even mention the name of Jesus.

Then around the years of 18 or 19 yrs old I cannot describe how or why I had a desire to know the Holy Bible and it's Author. It was not a crisis but more of a curiosity. The crisis would come later. I only remember trying to read the Bible once before as a child. It seemed like a foreign language so I put it down as quick as I picked it up. But now years later I would touch it again. The difference was, I prayed this time. I distinctly remember saying,"God I don't know anything about it, help me to know it and don't let me be deceived". I had not been exposed to any other church or even heard the Gospel preached. But God would soon answer my prayer. Looking back I can see clearly how it was all orchestrated by God. I didn't realize it but the crisis was on its way.

One night around midnight it began. Turning the radio dial I heard a gruff voice of an older man, he was bawling someone out for some kind of immorality. I couldn't change the dial. It was a live call-in program, people would call in with Bible questions he would answer them and preach. His voice was rough and distinct, he was stern and intolerant of evil. He was as direct as anyone I ever heard yet there was a tenderness about him, almost as if I could actually see the tears flowing. I continued to listed for the next month every Sunday around midnight. Every time I listened I felt like I was the one he was bawling out. This is what brought the crisis about. He helped me to see the sinner I was, the righteous man I was not and the child of God I could be by Grace. For the first time I saw Jesus presented in the Gospel and it was becoming clear. He regularly gave out his phone number and the address of the church with an invitation. So I finally decided to Pay Brother Lindsey a visit.

If I had been expecting to see a powerful looking man, extremely handsome with eloquent speech or refined in appearance I was in for a shock. He was about five foot eight, slender build, thinning red hair with freckles and blind. I wasn't disappointed , I wasn't looking for a man I was looking for God. Brother Lindsey helped me to meet Him. I now realize the lack of whom he was helped him to win multitudes of people to Christ around the world. He had a way of magnifying Christ and a reliance on the Holy Spirit. His ministry was marked by an undeniable demonstration of the Spirit and Power. He was a simple man who put on no airs. He would sit with the poor or the wealthy. There was no respect of persons.

He began preaching during the Great Depression at 15 years old. He traveled this country and witnessed the kind of revivals we read about, experienced many healing's, divine judgments and multitudes were saved as a result of the Holy Spirit moving through him.I began attending the church in a borrowed warehouse with around 60 people in attendance. It had been recently formed from a living room meeting. He had a traveling ministry for many years and now settled down just outside Detroit to teach and preach out the last years of his ministry. It became more of a shaking than a settling because as usual the Holy Spirit was present in his ministry. His method was, go where the Spirit lead and get the Word out.

If you study past revivals or awakenings you will see the similarities in Brother Lindsey's ministry. During great awakenings religious leaders have often ignorantly opposed a key figure that God sends and Brother Hubert was that key man in Detroit. I was amazed at the number of pastors that opposed his message of Entire Sanctification and Holiness. If you do your homework you will see revivals didn't come without this kind of preaching. I am amazed at how far the word spread from Detroit and the ways God used to get it out. 22 years later I am still meeting people from all over who were effected from those few years in Detroit.

Some people even advised him not to stay in Detroit. This is one person who is glad he did. I finally understood the Gospel of Christ and was immediately converted, Jesus really got a hold of me. Nothing other than my address was the same. Every one I knew thought I was crazy, I knew I wasn't. For the first time all my sins were gone and I knew it, there was not a person I didn't love or couldn't. Sounds strange but I even felt some sympathy for the devil. Things were falling off me left and right. By the outward appearance I was losing everything. But the more I lost the more I gained. I lost the girl I loved but God's love intensified, I lost my friends but I found Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, I lost hobbies that I had given myself to but my hands didn't become idle in the ministry. Like Paul said "I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ"

I was drawn to Brother Lindsey's love and devotion to God and had the opportunity to get to know this simple man. Because of his blindness he needed assistance where ever he went. I counted it an honor to take him for a drive, to a restaurant or to a garage sale. He liked to be around people. He visited my home on occasion to a picnic or to talk with my parents and encourage them.

I cherish the times we gathered our chairs around him to listen. I met Brother Lindsey in the last years of his ministry, he will always hold a place dear in my heart because God used him to answer that first prayer. I look forward to see him again, to thank him for sacrificing to get the word to me.

Still His,
Brother Jim Denton

We're here to make Hubert Lindsey's faithful teachings known

This Blog was started about a year and half ago. It was created to carry on a ministry that Brother Lindsey started many years ago for the cause of Christ. Churches on Trial was originally a radio broadcast in Detroit that allowed Brother Lindsey airtime to answer Biblical Questions that were called in.

I recorded a few of these radio shows and posted them on the left side of this Blog under Hubert Lindsey audios. There are other teaching recordings also that offer much learning for those who enjoy studying the Bible.

I have kept the name of Hubert T. Lindsey (Holy Hubert) alive not to glorify the man, only to glorify the presence of Christ behind that man. Hubert Lindsey reached the hearts and lives of so many people around this nation for 6o years. That legacy must live as the people still live that were effected by Brother Lindsey's ministry.

Hubert Lindsey was not only an evangelist, he was also a teacher of God's Word that clarified the knowledge of the Bible and made it simple enough for a child to understand. I have endeavored to keep that ministry alive, out of committment to God and to Brother Lindsey.

For the past months I have been slack in keeping up this Blog and been writing on other Blogs. I am asking for your input. Perhaps you have a writing or testimony that relates to this ministry or the ministry of Brother Lindsey. Contact me and we'll consider posting it! Our desire is to carry on a ministry that Brother Lindsey left behind.

As time allows there will be new audios and videos coming this fall. We need your visitation and perhaps you can pass us on to someone else that may need to learn more about God's Word. That is our desire. Please stay in touch! Much more to come. Take it to the West Coast where Hubert Lindsey touched lives with Christ 40 years ago.

Thanks for stopping by.

You can't make people believe in Christ

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could make people believe in Christ? All of your loved ones would be saved. Everybody you come in contact would be saved. Unfortunately no matter how hard we try...we are incapable of making other people believe in Christ.

So...What causes men to believe in Christ?

Repentance.

What is repentance? Repentance is when you change your mind. Repentance is what happens when the goodness of God touches the human soul just enough...that man turns from wrong and accepts right. The right that is accepted is the actual person of Christ.

Belief is consent of the human will. Belief comes when man is enlightened and stirred by the actual presence of a living Christ. When the Gospel is heard...belief can be exercised. Belief causes men to renounce disobedience to God. Belief understands that redemption is the effect that Calvary has on a man that repents from wrongdoing.

Belief allows forgiveness for sin to flow from the Saviour on the cross into your heart. Belief allows man's conscience to be freed from guilt caused from past sinful conduct. Belief opens the floodgates of the Grace of God to morally change man from dirty living.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could make others believe? That's the Gospel's job. That's why faith comes by hearing. The Spirit of of God "ministers truth" to the heart of fallen man. Truth is heard when Christ is preached! The Gospel reveals Christ, His power, His presence, His Glory! The Gospel stirs men to conviction and repentance. The Gospel causes men to believe and give consent to the Christ of their Salvation.

When man realizes he's a sinner and don't want to live that way anymore...it's because he sees Christ. The person of Christ shows man what he really is! When man sees what Christ did for him personally...he sees a way to get away from the old life, the old misery, and the part of man that rejects Christ. The power of Gospel can "sway" man just enough to believe. When man believes in Christ he will obey God.

Belief and obedience are one in the same. You can't be disobedient to God and believe in Christ at the same time. You can't have unbelief in your heart and be obedient to God at the same time. The Bible (in the greek text) teaches that obedience "springs" from faith in Romans 1:5.

Obedience is the outflow of Calvary in the human soul.

The unsaved world must hear about Christ to have something to believe in. Christ is ministered by holy men of God that preach the Gospel. Saving faith is not "blind faith". Saving faith is directly focused on the personality of Christ. Faith is built on a person. Faith is based on what is written about that person. Christian faith is based on the Bible...the Holy Scripture. Isn't that beautiful?

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. God draws men to himself when they hear, learn, and are taught about who Christ is, what He did at Calvary, and what He's doing right now in the Throneroom.

We can't make people believe in Christ...but when men hear the Gospel being preached, and they see themselves in light of a Saviour...they will cry out, "What must we do?" What must we do? What must we do? God convicts. God sways their thinking. God stirs them to repentance. God prods fallen man just enough...that consent of the will is given through the broken-ness of seeing yourself in light of a Saviour's love. This causes belief! Glory! Belief allows Divine Grace to come in and morally change the make-up of man to a holy state of being. This is the power of the Gospel message.

Brokenness causes men to believe, accept, and trust in Christ. Brokenness puts fallen man in a place that turns from sin and reaches out for the Saviour's power and holy presence. Belief says I'm through with the old life...I'm yours Jesus. Belief says I'll never let Jesus go. Belief says sin can't have me anymore. Belief says disobedience can't have me anymore. Belief says alcohol can't have me anymore. Belief says fornication can't have me anymore. Belief in Christ says all that stuff is dirty and wrong...I'm through with it! Then the Grace of God will take the believer over...completely. Isn't that beautiful! That's Saving Grace brother!

Belief is consent of the human will to God through Christ. You can't make a man give his consent to God unless he's broken and repents. That man has to throw in the towel. He will find broken-ness when he realizes that Christ died for him personally. He will also realize personal forgiveness for his sins and freedom from the guilt of sin is found in no other place but Christ. Glory! Do you believe?

Christ doesn't save men "because" they believe...He saves them "when" they believe.

Be a faithful witness and bring honor to God. God will use you for His Glory! Dishonor and disgrace is no good in the eyes of God. He uses holy men and women of God to testify and witness for Christ. You can't make any man believe in Christ...that's the Lord's business. When Christ touches or melts that heart...fallen man will have something to believe in. Glory!
