Holy Hubert's life, ministry, and theology

Just a brief note from the Churches on Trial. Since February 2009 I have been publishing Brother Hubert Lindsey's audio library, his radio broadcast, his doctrines, and his theology. Much of this material may seem controversial...but its not! Churches on Trial clairifies and puts light on the the truth of God's Word...rightly divided! Behind Brother Hubert Lindsey was a living Christ who is presently exalted in the Throneroom. Behind this writer is that same Christ and that same ministry. Our intent in unison is to spread the Word of Truth, the power of the Gospel, and to amplify the New Testament doctrines of the Bible. At Churches on Trial we offer not just the milk of the Word...but the meat also!

Heb 5:12-14... For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

God Bless you all. Keep studying the Word of Truth! Learn to rightly divide it! God has a plan for your life and ministry! Enjoy life! Make sure Christ is the center of your heart and life! Blessed be His holy name forever!

Updated - Holy Hubert Lindsey MP3's

When Brother Lindsey was alive during the late 80's God used him to record a series of teaching audios (included in a list below). Since Brother Lindsey passed away I have endeavored for 13 years to keep this ministry alive to the publicize Brother Lindsey's Spirit filled teachings.

In 1997-1999 I transposed these teachings from audio cassette and put them onto CD format. This gesture preserved the priceless teachings of Brother Hubert Lindsey which since has continued this ministry to continue up to date. In the last few years of technological leaps and bounds God has opened doors for this ministry to continue going out to people via Internet around the globe. In this process of ministering God's Word to the human family we have been able to upload most of these teachings via audio/video onto Google, Wordpress, Facebook, Youtube, and other social networks. God is behind this ministry as we are going places now!

At the following links below we have an archive of MP3 audios available for your personal use to broaden knowledge and grow your personal faith in God's Word. May the power of God's Grace keep you as you grow in the Grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through the ministry of Brother Hubert Lindsey (also know as Holy Hubert Lindsey).

Here are link's to obtain MP3's for future study, upload, download, e-mail, and/or sharing, if need be.

Here is the list of 50+ audio's Brother Lindsey recorded to support his ministry and further the Gospel that he preached in his latter years. These 50 audios were recorded onto audio cassette at the Church at Birmingham where Brother Lindsey pastored from 1987-1990. I remind you Brother Lindsey recorded these teachings from memory while he was pastor at the Church At Birmingham.

I have taken the liberty to link many of these audio/videos on this list for your quick reference. There is a complete and well rounded System of Theology included in these audios of vast knowledge for every student of the Bible. I personally advocate this God sent teaching that God has allowed us to re-record, preserve, and publish in these past years. This endeavor has blessed my life and personal ministry for Christ, as I have trusted God, trusted Brother Lindsey, and studied these great teachings, indepth for the past 24 years. May this valuable and vast amount of teaching bless your life as much as it has this preacher.

Keep the Bible in proper context

By keeping the Bible in context you are "rightly dividing the Word of Truth". Right division of the Bible allows you to learn, develop a strong faith in Christ, and eliminate future confusion. Much confusion comes from not learning the Bible in proper context. Confusion hinders the child of God from building a good basis of faith. Thus the spiritual walk with God can be shipwrecked, erred from, or departed from due to frustration...caused from confusion. Learn the Bible in context. Learn about Jew and Gentile. Learn about Law and Grace. Learn about the Church and Israel. By doing such you will do yourself a favor and the Holy Spirit will reveal, enlighten, and bring understanding to your mind and thinking process. The Bible will never mislead you unless it's taken out of proper context. Above all things meditate the Word, study various periods of time and how they apply to the Church and/or Israel, learn about Christ and don't mix everything up. Eliminate possible confusion. Give no place to the Devil. Keep you mind, soul, and strength Christ centered. Learn to rightly divide God's Word by keeping it in context. The Holy Spirit will teach you and confirm "truth" you your soul. Eliminate the author of confusion the Devil...and let Jesus be the author and finisher of your faith. Every eye on Him. All your trust in Him. Learn what God said and is saying about Christ. Use the Word right. Be thankful for a privilege the world doesn't have. Be blessed from keeping the Bible in proper context. Lifetime homework assignment!

Four matters of importance...for the child of God...in these perilous times of 2011

When we look around to what's going on around the globe in 2011, to our economic conditions in the US, and in the political world many things come to mind. What does the Bible say about these topics? Last night at the Upper Room I brought out few verses about what the Bible teaches on the following subjects:

Christians making Judgment...1 Cor 6:2-3...Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Christians praying for those in authority...1 Tim 2:1-3...I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Christians in subjection to civil government...Rom 13:1-4...Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Is capital punishment Biblical? Romans 13:4...For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Learn and stay true to God's Word. Steer clear of human opinions based on anger, resentment and bitterness. Obey God and do what is right in an unbelieving world. God is in control of every condition of life. He controls the weather, He controls the governments, and He has judged Satan already. He saves and sanctifies our lost loved ones. He is merciful and His love endureth forever. Be a faithful witness for Christ. My God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Get wrapped up in Christ the problem solver...not the problems of life. God knows what he's doing. He will never let you down.

Awake to righteousness and sin not! For some have not the knowledge of God.

There are many people today (including Christians) that don't understand that people can live a life of holiness and right standing with God everyday of their existence. When I say this I mean people can live without sin or sinful conduct in the eyes of God. Perhaps some don't understand that man's works toward righteousness "under Law" was not a victorious life but a struggle to keep Divine Law. Maybe they don't understand that righteousness by Grace is not a struggle or man's attempt to reach a certain plateau, "It's a God given the power to do right, to walk worthy, and to be obedient to God everyday of your life". It's Divine power from Christ our Savior to, "Sin not" and to live a holy life. Awakening to righteousness is awakening to the fact that our righteousness under Grace is not what we do...but what our Savior grants and bestows upon us by the Grace and Mercies of God from Calvary. God wants people to "know" this in their minds and hearts. Many people today miss this blessed truth and live a life of defeat rather that victory in their walk with God in everyday living. At the Churches on Trial we teach that Christians can live a life of victory over sin with a victory over sinful conduct...everyday of their Christian life until they die or until they are Raptured. To sin not means this very thing...Christians don't have to sin. Sin is not essential in the heart of a child of God. Christians can sin...but they don't have to. Why? Christ gives members of His church, power... to quit sin completely!

Some people don't fully realize they are still living under the struggle of keeping the Law of Moses rather than having the power to do right under the Grace of God we now have in the Church, the body of Christ. We now can have the Holy Spirit's sanctifying power in our hearts and lives. Sanctifying power simply gives us a desire to be holy, right, and without sin in the eyes of a living God. Much of the modern deception that teaches wavering faith, or walking in the flesh, or struggling to keep Law is caused from living in the past tense teachings of Bible. What they are taught is often a theology in the Law of Moses or the Kingdom Age (in the four Gospels) rather than the bliss of the Grace Age that Christians are now entitled to (since the death of our Saviour on the cross). To be honest with you, many Christians today live in Israel's struggle and their inability to keep the Law of Moses, rather than the blessing of the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit that can "totally" possess a Christian's heart and actions on this side of Heaven. That statement is sad for me to say, but very much true!

Awakening to righteousness is awakening to Christ and his God given righteousness...NOT OUR ATTEMPT TO DO RIGHT UNDER THE LAW WHICH THUS PROVES OUR INABILITY TO KEEP THE LAW BECAUSE ISRAEL FAILED! Righteousness by Grace is a God given righteousness for the Christian to SIN NOT! Righteousness under Grace is not a human struggle like keeping the Law of Moses! Righteousness under Grace is a gift created at Calvary and now given to us today from the Throneroom! GLORY!

There are some people who say we can never have complete victory over sin! They are wrong in their thinking and lack understanding of the truth about God! The New Testament teaches that Christians "have" victory over sin! Every day of their life in Christ. People living a defeated life are living under man's struggle to keep the Law like Israel did when they went into captivity for 70 years; or when Israel murmured in the wilderness after God brought them through the Red Sea; or when Israel rejected Christ during His Earthly ministry. Man's own inability will cause him to fail God! Man's own inability will struggle to live up to the standard of the holiness of the Law of Moses. God knew about man's inability so He sent His son to die which in turn sent the blessing of the Holy Spirit upon us in the Church today. GLORY!

Today, under Grace our faith is not based on what we do...its based on what Christ did and what He's doing right now in our hearts from the Throneroom. Christ's living power in your heart can give you "all" the holiness you need in this life to live without sin. This is an awakening to righteousness... but not your own righteousness...its Christ's righteousness given to you from Heaven. Glory! It's Christ's power in your heart to do right and live right. It's a greater blessing than man attempting to keep Law of Moses...it's the righteousness of the Law "fulfilled" in our hearts by a living Christ. Romans 8:3-6

I admit some people don't know that Christians are supposed to live without sin! Some people don't want to know either! Others are so wrapped up in their theology of living under Law they never enjoy the bliss of the Grace Age taught in the New Testament Epistles. It's sad that people don't "know" the fullness of God's Blessing which allows them to live holy and without sin! It's sad that so many miss the fullness of God's Blessing which is the beginning of a life without sin and disobedience to God. Only life in Christ offers this kind of peace and contentment without wavering. Only this kind of life in Christ can take away the struggle of a back and forth life in and out of sin and Salvation. A life of victory over sin... is freedom brother! It's definately something God wants us to teach at the Churches on Trial. I feel so sorry for those who don't know these things about God. God want's us to know this truth but for many reasons so many miss this great wealth of knowledge. It is this writers desire with love... that all come to the knowledge of the truth about what God gives the members of His body. Examine the following verse closely...

1 Cor 15:34... Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:

Notice, it said that some have not the knowledge of God. That some is who I write to today! This knowledge that Paul speaks of, is a knowledge to know that God can get you to the righteousness of Grace where the believer has no desire to sin. This righteousness is a place where religious people will quit their meanness, and quit practicing sinful conduct! They will awake to a God given righteousness and sin not! Why? They will "know"! They will know. They will know the holiness of Christ. Glory! They will know that Christ gives them victory over sin. Therefore they will...

1 Cor 15:34... Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:

Calvinism refuted in the ministry of Holy Hubert

From a theological standpoint Hubert Lindsey was a converted Calvinist who became adamant against the teachings of John Calvin. This writer recalls an audio recording that Hubert made and titled, “Eternal Security” that's posted at this Blog...

http://churchesontrial.blogspot.com/2009/04/eternal-security-audio-dr-hubert.html

The teaching on Eternal Security refuted Calvin’s once save always saved Theology and clarified “why” with overwhelming scriptural support. Hubert’s teaching on the doctrine of Eternal Security always conveyed a different slant than mainstream teaching on that subject. Hubert always clarified how men could “lose faith”... and “why” the once saved always saved doctrine is an erroneous teaching.

Hubert always used the Bible to prove why Christians are obedient to God. He could prove why Christians are to live the holy life after they give their heart to Christ. He also taught that man could lose faith and fall away from holiness and Eternal Salvation. He also explained how a man could be “delivered again” after “regaining” faith in Christ for Eternal Salvation. Hubert covered every scripture in the Bible concerning this subject with great detail. Who else could refute the doctrine of once saved always saved better than a man who had ignorantly taught it for 3 1/2 decades! Many times Hubert Lindsey regretfully stated, “If only I would have known back then what I know today”.

Hubert’s revelation of Divine Grace was made explanatory to the hearts of men by the Spirit of God. The reason Hubert’s preaching was life changing is because the ministry of the Holy Spirit was behind it with full thrust. Through revelation from Christ and not man, Brother Lindsey touched the hearts and lives of people in every walk of life, great and small, rich or poor, and good or evil. Hubert enlightened people with truth about God’s Grace and backed it with countless Bible verses. Hubert made the Bible clear and understandable but never compromised a Christian’s obligation to holy conduct or living without sin. Unlike Calvinists, Hubert believed, practiced, and taught that Christians could live without sin every day of their life in Christ. Hubert showed no allegiance to any denomination or man made doctrine.

Hubert never broke away from Calvinism until he was Sanctified Entire (in the late sixties), through the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. Calvinist’s do not believe in nor do they teach the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire as the purifying work of the Spirit of God that rids the believer from the fallen nature. Calvinist’s place more emphasis on Baptism as an act of obedience through immersion in water that’s performed by a preacher. Calvinists miss the instantaneous sanctifying work of the Spirit of God that rids the believer from the Adamic life. Most Calvinist’s do not understand the Pentecostal baptism that is performed by the Spirit of God today… like it was on the day of Pentecost. This Baptism (scripturally taught) and performed by Christ has no relation to immersion in water!

One of the things this writer remembers about Brother Lindsey is that he was not only a converted Calvinist but also a very humble and compassionate man in the Spirit of Truth. Hubert Lindsey honored the Sanctifying work of the Spirit of God very highly. Entire Sanctification was the essence of Hubert’s heart and life. Calvinism hindered Hubert from the blessed experience of Sanctification for many years of his early life in Christ. After sanctification through the Spirit was found by Brother Lindsey…Calvinistic theology went straight down the drain.

Rick Roehm "Revives" Brother Hubert Lindsey's timeless Gospel preaching that still ministers Spirit and life... in 2014

I have been able to resurrect two excellent sermons that Brother Lindsey made at the Church at Birmingham somewhere around 1988.

The first recording brought scriptural clarification on the subject of why Jesus didn't go to Hell. Brother Lindsey explains where this fable like teaching started and clairifies what the Holy Scriptures really teach about Jesus' death an ascension to Heaven. EXCELLENT TEACHING for the studious in Christ!

The second recording was on the subject of, "The Body of death" according to Roman Law in the first century. Brother Lindsey vividly defines The Apostle Paul's expression of this Roman form of punishment in relation to the infamous Romans 7 that deals with man's struggle to keep the Law of God. The comparison between man's struggle to overcome the Adamic nature and a criminal's struggle under Roman Law to live with the body of death (which was an actual human body chained to the criminals hands and legs) is vividly described by Brother Lindsey. The unique thing about this teaching shows man's inability to keep Jewish Law because of the Adamic nature and a criminal's inability to live out the punishment of the body of death under (the mortification of a human body) under Roman Law . The vivid contrast puts light on the delivering power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who can deliver man from the Adamic Nature. What clairity for Christ on the subject of Romans 7 !

Keep a close eye on the Blog for the upcoming revived sermons of Brother Hubert Lindsey whose messages continue to minister Spirit and life even though he's in heaven now.

To hear a similar sermon click on the following link which was one of Brother Lindsey's last public sermon's before he became ill. 1990 FGBA Sermon at Tacoma WA http://churchesontrial.blogspot.com/2009/02/blog-post.html.

First Epistle of John (audio)...a verse by verse study...Chapters 1-3...by Rick Roehm

This study on the First Epistle of John was made in 2004 to bring clarification to the truth of the Bible and to the truth about the holy heart and holy living. Throughout life I have met many people that use John's First Epistle to condone sin rather than to condemn it. They say that the Bible contradicts itself. Not so!

The New Testament was not written to condone sin. John's First Epistle will not contradict itself if studied in the right context. This First Epistle of John when kept in proper context brings to light the power and victory that all Christians can experience in 2009. Without contradiction! It will cut your thinking away from tradition, imagination, and religion. God's Word is rich, true, and teaches holiness of heart and sin free living. May this study (pt. 1) bless your personal life in Christ and your personal studies of the Bible, especially the New Testament records.

I thank God for the Apostleship of Brother Lindsey who was used by God to leave behind beautiful doctrines of holiness (like this foundation in First John) for all to learn from. I thank God for the technology that has made it possible to keep alive Brother Lindsey's teachings as well as his timeless audios that were made for the edification of the saints in Christ across this nation. Google makes this possible on this Blog! Sermon.net makes it possible on the Internet...but most of all God makes it possible through the willing heart of his servants for Christ. Glory to the name of God through Christ our Saviour! Glory to the name of Christ!

Commit these things to faithful men...

Brother Lindsey committed these teachings to men like me to pass on to others like you. Are you faithful or unfaithful to Christ? You can't be both. The scriptures say to commit these things to "faithful" men. Why? Faithful men carry these teachings throughout life's journey as a Christian and Christian witness for Christ into a lost world. I admit the teachings of Divine Grace are deep and rich ...but the main thing is, "They are pure". Purity is the end result of Bible Truth and is produced by the Grace of God behind this message. Purity is the essence of Bible Truth and the work of the Holy Spirit in the human soul. Purity is something no man can have without Christ. Purity brings contentment to the personal life and to the domestic life of a Christian.

Brother Lindsey always joyfully stated he was holy, healthy, and happy! This writer likewise states the same joy. As a matter of fact I enjoy teaching holiness and purity because it brings honor to God. It brings out the truth of the Bible in a cold dark world of so many needs. It lets every man know that Christ can provide a better life. I'm thankful that Brother Lindsey brought the truth about holiness, purity, and clean living to this writer at the age of 33. Today (22 years later) that truth has blessed Rick Roehm, restored his marriage, laid a course of life for his future, and offers holy influence to his family, offspring, and neighbors.

What Brother Lindsey committed to this writer was sound doctrine and Bible Truth that many people never experience in this life...but I did and I'm thankful for it! I'm contented with it! I appreciate it so much that I preach it and publicize it at this Blog! I'm also thankful that God has given me a way to commit these things to faithful men ! Why? So faithful men can teach others also!

2 Tim 2:2...And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Have you reviewed the Holy Hubert audios at this Blog?

There are many audios and various teachings posted at this Blog. All were made by Hubert Lindsey in the past two or three decades. Brother Lindsey recorded these audios and I keep these preserved audios published in every way I know possible by the Grace of God.

I was tutored by Brother Lindsey in the Gospel according to the Prophets since 1988. I came from a Charismatic background without a foundation on how to "rightly divide" the Holy Scriptures. Through Brother Lindsey's call from Christ and his commitment to those who desire to learn the Bible I was able to find a foundation in the Word that's build upon the authority of Christ that I serve. Today I understand a portion of the Bible in its proper context. The Old Testament has its place. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John have their place and the New Testament we now live under today in the Church Age has its place. "The great tragedy of 2009 is the very fact that many run the whole Bible together without right division. This type of learning is very dangerous for a student of God's Word!"

It is this writers intention to keep publicizing Holy Hubert audios but, "Let it be known" there are many strong teaching audios posted already. The wealth of truth contained in this knowledge and posted at thsi Blog is what changed the course of Rick Roehm's future, his life, and his family status. I had the marvelous privilege to see the curse of unholiness (broken by Christ) that has tainted my family for five generations or more. Christ who has "all authority in Heaven and on Earth" governs this writers heart and life with all gladness. The Christ I seve in Heaven has restored and blessed my marriage. He has has given me godliness that offers contentment in the domestic life. Christ has broken the chain of the powers of darkness in my family for future generations. He's alive and in control of this writer and this Blog.

The ministry of Holy Hubert is why I write this Blog. Holy Hubert taught Christ! Please listen to and examine the Holy Hubert audios at this Blog and more are coming. A foundation laid by the truth of the glorious Gospel (preached by Brother Lindsey) will help you to endure the hardships of life. Bible Truth will stand through the storms of life because it's lain by work of the Holy Spirit. God used Brother Lindsey to get this writers attention focused on Christ. Today I publish Holy Hubert's audio ministry to help others to lay and fortify foundations built by the Gospel he preached.

Check the audios out! More are coming!

God Bless,

Where does "obedience" come from?

Obedience to God is the "outflow of Calvary'' in the heart and soul of a believer in Christ. Obedience is man's subjection of the will - to his Saviour and Redeemer, the one who forgave all the past sins, and removed guilt from the human conscience. Subjection is an act of man's faith; obedience to God is the outflow of this action. The language of the Bible teaches in the Greek text that obedience "springs" from faith...Romans 1:5. You show me a man that truly trusts Christ. I'll show you a man that's obedient to God! Glory!

Man is born with a heart full of disobedience to God. Man is unrighteous by nature. Man from birth is in natural rebellion to Christ and; the truth of God's Word.

The power to "do right" is a God given power to man from God. This power is simply the power of God's amazing Grace. It's the power of God granted to man "when" man believes and trusts in Christ alone for personal forgiveness. God's power flows from Calvary and is granted to the heart of man through belief. Belief causes man to act. The action of a believer in Christ is to do right. Righteousness is a gift of God's Grace. Righteousness produces obedience to God. The Bible teaches that man believeth unto righteousness.

Romans 10:10...with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;

What is sin?

There are two types of sin taught in the Bible. One type of sin is a noun...the other type of sin is a verb. A distinction can be made between these two types of sin, in the following words...

First sin is a violation of the law of God...which is an act of sin committed against God. This type of sin is an act...or what man does against God. For this type of sinful conduct every man is accountable to God for these violations.

Secondly, sin is the depraved nature of man inherited from the fall of Adam...This propensity to sin is the make-up every human being. This type of sin is what man is from the heart. Man is not accountable to God for the inherited depraved nature. Man is however; accountable for his actions and violations.

Through "trust alone" in the death of Christ man can be forgiven from all his transgressions...by the Grace of God. Through the work of the Holy Spirit's witness this saved man can realize that there is "more" of God's Blessing and he can be delivered from all of self by the same Grace that saved and forgave him. Realization of what man is (carnal by nature) and who Christ is can allow God to rid man from inherited sin. Getting rid of inherited sin, "like salvation, is the complete work of the Grace of God in the life of the beleiver in Christ". Sanctification from the Old Adam can only be performed by the Grace of God. The reason is, "The Adamic nature cannot be confessed or forgiven"..."It must be destroyed!" How? By the purifying work of the Holy Spirit's baptism. This baptism does not deal with the "acts of sin". It deals with the inherited sinful nature.

For this very reason the Bible teaches two types of sin! For this very reason Christ, the Father, and the Holy Spirit show man how to be delivered from both types of sin! For this very reason God called me by His Gospel and made me a minister of such truth! For this very reason I write this Blog! If you readers of this Blog, are not already blessed...May the Lord bless you richly with the power of His Divine Grace that keeps the Holy Spirit present in our lives!

What the Bible teaches about going on to Perfection...

The New Testament in the Book of Hebrews instructs the Church (or those who have tasted Divine Grace) to "leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ" and go on unto perfection.

What were the principles of the doctrine of Christ? What is going on to perfection? Here are a few examples.

Jesus was circumcised the eight day according to Law.
Jesus taught the Law of Moses and had to teach the Law... or sin against God.
Jesus was 30 years old before He first taught in the Temple...according to the Law.
Jesus was baptized of John (a Levite) at the age of thirty according to Law.
Jesus in His great Sermon on the Mount was the best example I know of in the Bible that teaches the holiness of the Torah (The Law of Moses). Matthew chapters 5-7. When Jesus healed the leper...after that miraculous healing Jesus instructed the leper to go and do as Moses commanded which was offering sacrifice to God according to Law.

The teachings of Christ were "all" under the Law...and remember the Holy Spirit had not been given nor had the Church, the spiritual body of Christ been birthed. There is a vast distinction between what Jesus taught...and what the Apostles taught after the death of Christ...in the Grace Dispensation that we "the Church" now live under. That's why the Apostle called the Grace Covenant the "fullness of times". All of Jesus' teachings were directly related to to teaching Law to the lost sheep of Israel. Law given to Israel was the"principles" of the teachings of Christ. Perfection is getting into the Grace covenant where refuge and security is found in the Church, the spirtual body of Christ. The is Church is where Christ is the head of many members. The Holy Spirits presence governs that body and changes the moral make-up of fallen man when he becomes a member of the body of Christ.

The teachings of the Law were given to Israel only. Jesus came to His own (Israel) and they received him not. John 1:11 Jesus taught the holiness of the Law and it convicted some to an acceptance of His Messiahship ...but He had not been glorified yet! Jesus had to teach the Law or sin against God. The Church had not been birthed, nor had the Grace Covenant came into existence...nor had the omnipresence of the Spirit in the Church came to pass as it is under Grace. Perfection under the New Testament had not yet come into play during Christ's earthly ministry "under Law".

The following passage from the Hebrew letter teaches to "leave" these principles of the doctrine of Christ and go on to perfection.

Hebrews 6:1... Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection;

Perfection is a product of the Grace of God given to man because of the finished work of Christ at Calvary and the ongoing work He does from the Throneroom. Perfection is the ministry of the Holy Spirit that ministers to the human soul because of the finished work of Christ at Calvary. Christians are God's workmanship "created" in Christ Jesus. Eph. 2:8-10 The Apostle instructs the Church (Jew and Gentile) to leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ which was the teaching of the Law (to Israel only) as well as keeping the commandments. Jesus' earthly ministry (His teaching and doctrine of the Law) Mat. 10:5-6 strictly forbade the disciples to go the Gentiles or the Samaritans...but rather to go to the lost sheep of Israel.

Perfection from the Grace of God is getting away from ordinances, principles, and commandments that were demanded under the Law of Moses. Perfection was getting away from "dead works". Perfection was not "keeping the righteousness of the Law". Perfection is having the righteousness of the Law "fulfilled in us".

Rom 8:3-4...For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be "fulfilled in us", who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Perfection is having the righteousness of the Law fulfilled..."in us". How? By the works of Christ within! Not the works of man without!

Heb 13:20-21...Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ;

Test your faith…

Is the actual experience and testimony of the child of God different today, than during the period of New Testament writings?

Is the Church, the body of Christ the same today as it was then, 2009 years ago? Are we likewise members of the same body of Christ as the early Apostles? Were the Apostles Paul, Peter, James, and John different than present day Christian’s or vice versa?

Can a Christian live without sin in this present world of modern distraction’s unlike distraction’s during the first century?

Should present Christian lifestyle be in line with lives of men who kept records of the Christian experience after the death and ascension of Christ? Should Christianity be the same today as it was in the early Church?

What kept men of God during the early church in harmony with Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and ascension? Why were men obedient to Christ back then? Was it mere faith; the work of the Spirit; or a combination of both? At present should a Christian’s faith and obedience to Christ be different than a Christian’s faith and obedience was to Christ during the first century?

Why were New Testament writers (after the death of Christ) in subjection to an ascended Christ? Should a child of God behave differently today, 2009 years since Christ’s ascension?

How were New Testament writers able to endure temptation?

Why did the writers of New Testament Epistles instruct believers to depart from sin? What made them over comers to worldly deception and snares that came from the wicked one? What gave those men of God the ability to resist the Devil? Should we experience and testify to this same victory?

Is the power of Christ given to us today, as it was to them 2009 years ago? Is the power of Christ different in 2009 than during the first century? Does the power of God’s Grace written about in New Testament Epistles apply to present day Christians?

What keeps men of God sensitive, aware, and conscious, to the Holy Spirit’s presence? Did the Apostles at the Early Church compromise truth revealed in their hearts, to abstain from sin? What compelled them to testify and write about a moral change experienced through the power of a living Christ?

Is this same power available today? Should our personal experience and testimony be the same as believer’s experienced and testified during and after the First Century? Be truthful. If you don’t know the answers… study your Bible. If you do know the answers…put them in action for the cause of Christ.

What is the true Gospel? (pt. 3)

The Gospel preached from Isaiah 53 reveals the plan of God through the redemptive work of Christ at Calvary. Calvary ministers the power of healing to the body and an Eternal Salvation to the human soul.

In Psalm 22 David prophesies Christ’s final hours on the cross at Calvary.

· Ps 22:1…My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
· Ps 22: 16… the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

This prophecy was recorded approx.700 years before Christ came. Its truth was concealed in the Word of God for centuries but now revealed by the preaching of the Gospel in the Grace Age we live in. Many Old Testament prophecies point to the redemptive work of Christ at Calvary but far more point to His second coming and the restoration of Israel.

The essence of the true Gospel comes from prophecy. The power of the Gospel changes and heals the entire human being. The Gospel message is always a Christ centered message. Why? Jesus said in Saint John 15:26;

· John 15:26-27…But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness

The Holy Spirit testifies Christ to the human soul. The Gospel message reveals Christ to the human ear. The written Word of God testified of Christ in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.

· Ps 40:7-8…Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God
· 1 Thess 1:5…For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;

All the Apostles after the death of Christ preached this same Gospel message. Men of God throughout the Old Testament also preached the Gospel…Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, etc.

· 1 Peter 4:6…For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
· Heb 4:2…For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

One of the reasons the true Gospel isn’t preached sometimes is because of a lack of evidence of Christ in the Holy Scriptures. A shallow knowledge can sometimes mean a shallow faith. Getting people to the Gospel message is the will of God. Having knowledge of the Word of God can broaden the preacher’s message of a Savior. The more a preacher knows about Christ the better he can help people to understand who Christ is and what Christ does. The demonstration of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the Lords servant does the rest.

· 2 Cor 4:3-6…But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ
· 1 Cor 2:4-5…And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God

What is the true Gospel? (pt. 2)

The Gospel message being what the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms said about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ was to go beyond the Jewish nation to the Gentile world. The revelation of Christ concealed in the writings of the Word of God to the Jew first was now revealed to all humanity through preaching. The basis of the Gospel was the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy concerning Christ as the Messiah. These prophecies were vaguely recognized by the Jew through the Holy Scriptures and totally unknown to the Gentile world.

· Rom 16:25-26…Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

The purpose of the Gospel was to offer the power and presence of Christ to an unsaved world. Saint Luke described the Gospel as a means of repentance and remission of sins. Mark described the Gospel as a means of being saved. The Apostle Paul described the Gospel as the power of God unto salvation. Repentance, remission of sins, and salvation for the soul is the power of the God that comes through the Gospel message. How? Through man’s belief in Christ as Savior and Lord based on what was written.

· Rom 1:16…For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth

Records show that men of old that preached the Gospel were Jewish men. The Gospel message recorded in the Holy Scriptures came through the Jewish nation. The Jewish people from whom the Word of God came have always kept perfect records and perfect genealogies concerning the Messianic lineage. Jesus was a Jew, the 12 Apostles were Jewish, and the Word of God was written by, and given to the Jew. This is the reason why the Apostle Paul said the Gospel was to…the Jew first.

· Rom 1:16…For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The Apostle Paul clarified what the Gospel was in the following verses. As a knowledgeable Jew concerning the Law of Moses yet later converted to Christianity, Paul understood how the truth of the Gospel was derived from the Holy Scriptures.

· 1 Corinthians 15:1-4… Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

· Rom 1:1-5…Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

The above verses point to the prophetic truth of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ written in the Scriptures. The Grace of God was given to man and received by man through faith in Christ. Faith came by hearing the Word of God. The Word of God confirmed the person of Christ through preaching. The Word of God preached by the Apostles was Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms concerning Christ. Remember the New Testament Epistles had not been written yet.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit upon the human soul actually confirms the truth of the Word of God through the Gospel message. This same Gospel message preached today contains the same person of Christ preached in the first century… in repentance, redemption, and the forgiveness of sins.

· Acts 13:38-39…Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Prophecy reveals and confirms the truth about Christ. Messianic Prophecy goes back to the Garden of Eden where God promised a Savior to the Serpent, after the serpent caused the fall of man…Genesis 3:15. Genesis 3:15 was the first prophetic utterance of the promised Savior. This Prophecy concerning Christ was written in Genesis, the first book of the Law of Moses. It was concealed for centuries but revealed in part when the Messiah actually came. Now, in the Church Age it’s revealed more through the power of a Living Savior and the work of the Holy Spirit. Even more is to be revealed after the Rapture of the church, and the second coming of our Lord in the Kingdom Age to restore Israel. Christ with all power and authority over the devil through the ages is the central theme of this verse.

· Gen 3:15…And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel

· 1 John 3:8…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible…Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus. Being the Holy Scriptures for the Hebrew, the Nation of Israel, and the Jewish people the first five books of the Bible were called the Law of Moses. The Law of Moses pointed to the Messiahship of Christ. The Gospel can be preached from prophecy contained within the Law of Moses.

· John 5:46…For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

The Prophet Isaiah recorded one of the most descriptive passages in the Bible concerning Christ as Savior and redeemer…Isaiah 53. The Gospel can be preached endlessly from this passage that distinctly reveals a Savior and redeemer.

· Isa 53:4-7…Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth:

What is the true Gospel? (pt.1)

The Gospel is a Scriptural based sermon that gives evidence to Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Gospel message is honored by God as it touches and changes the human soul. The ministry of the Holy Spirit testifies through men of God called to preach about a Saviors suffering, obedience, and love for the human family. The Gospel is confirmed truth from Old Testament Prophecies concerning the Messiahship of Christ. It delivers an unsaved soul from sin and disobedience, to a right standing with God.  If kept in memory the Gospel can provide any man with a clean heart and the hope of an Eternal life beyond the grave.  When accepted its Salvation to the soul through Prophetic truth of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The Gospel puts men and women into the body of Christ by the same power that delivered the Children of Israel from the hands of Pharaoh through the Red Sea. The Gospel is Gods channel of Divine Grace given to the human soul through mans belief in Christ as Savior and Redeemer. The Gospel is the power of God offered to the unbelieving world through men of God called to preach. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel

For years as a Christian and preacher of the Gospel I’ve asked many people the question, “Do you know what the Gospel is?”  I’ve received a variety of answers but only few have ever described what the Bible actually says the Gospel actually is.  Of course the Gospel is a good message according to the Greek text, But!!!

·          euaggelion (yoo-ang-ghel'-ee-on); a good message, i.e. the gospel:

To reveal the Gospel it’s necessary to use the Old Testament, the four Gospels, and New Testament Epistles to form a better basis.

In Saint Mark’s account of Jesus, before the ascension to heaven an instruction from Jesus was given to the disciples to preach the Gospel…Mark 16:16. After the death of Christ the New Testament defines the Gospel as the power of God unto salvationRomans 1:16. The Apostle Paul said he was separated by the Gospel of God…Romans 1:1 so… Why is the Gospel so important? How does Scripture interpret what the Gospel is? Why did Jesus instruct us to preach the Gospel?

Jesus preached the first Gospel sermon to the disciples as recorded by Saint Luke.

·          Luke 24:44-47…These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name

Note how the Gospel message itself would minister repentance and remission of sins to an unbelieving world in the name of Christ.

Jesus opened the Scriptures and helped the disciples to understand the truth about him written and concealed in the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament. The Scriptures were the Law of Moses (which contained the first five books of the Bible), the Prophets, and the Psalms. Jesus revealed and confirmed to the disciples the truth about him by using the Holy Scripture. When preached to a lost world this great truth is the true and only Gospel message.

In the same account only recorded by Saint Mark notice how the Gospel was to be conveyed through preaching… where it was to be carried to…and the power of salvation it offered.

·          Mark 16:15-16…And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved

Mark declares that the power of the Gospel in Salvation and Baptism are one in the same.  The Spirits baptism which comes from receiving the Gospel puts the believer into the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. All three members of the Godhead make their spiritual abode within one body which is the body of Christ, the church.

·          Matt 28:19…Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost

·          1 Cor 12:13…For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentile

Saint Matthew’s account of the Gospel is phrased slightly different than Mark and Luke’s account. All three accounts focus on how the power of the Gospel (baptizes) or puts man into one body through… repentance, remission of sins, and Salvation by the Divine power of the Godhead. Men are called to God through this Gospel message.

·          2 Thess 2:14…Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

All for the glory of Christ!

During the days of the Church at Birmingham, The Kingdom Series books with the help of Laura Lunn were compiled, written, and published. A radio broadcast was established with the fellowship and assistance of Jim Elsman a lawyer in Birmingham MI. The radio broadcast was used to carry the Gospel over the air. The broadcast was called, “Churches on Trial” of which I have re-titled this Blog. The original Churches on Trial was more than preaching. It was a call in talk show of Biblical questions that Brother Lindsey biblically answered. The questions and answers were timeless and very much for the edification of Christians today. That complete radio broadcast was recorded and archived however; it has not been completely transposed to CD format at the time of this writing! By the Grace of God that library of recordings shall someday be re-publicized to further the cause of Christ through Hubert’s service at the Church at Birmingham. All proceeds would go the Hubert Lindsey Foundation.

At the Church at Birmingham Hubert Lindsey also served as pastor. Services consisted of commentary teaching of the Bible, verse by verse, and preaching of the Gospel. All services were recorded for 4 ½ years on the recording equipment owned by the Church at Birmingham. At present, Brother Jim Denton continues the audio recordings made at the Church at Birmingham services. Excerpts from those recordings were publicized in 2007 and 2008 on a local radio broadcast in Waterford Mi. on Saturday afternoons. God made a way for that door to open those two years. The Church at Birmingham services are not all completely transposed to CD format, but by the Grace of God they will be transposed to CD format for preservation purpose in the near future. This writer feels God wants all of Hubert Lindsey’s teachings and recordings preserved for future use. Since this segment of the bio was written I have built this Blog and slightly changed the plan...but I still publish Brother Lindsey's teaching material.

As an apostle Hubert’s commitment to the Church at Birmingham was like his love for Christ. He loved those people. He loved that Church. He loved what Christ was using him for at the Church at Birmingham. Hubert was impacting Detroit with his doctrinal stance, with his audios, with his books, and with that local Church under his Apostleship. The Church at Birmingham was build by Christ according the New Testament Structure and New Testament Church government. Everything at the Church at Birmingham was in New Testament order!

To accompany Brother Lindsey’s teachings on audio this writer has developed a dispensation chart that systematically helps people to learn the Bible. (At present it's not posted YET! but will be in the future. Complicated techie stuff!) The chart illustrates Bible depth and the order things necessary to learn the Bible in proper context and in systematic order. The Chart contains Brother Lindsey’s complete audio library that archived his lifetime of knowledge and compacted and recorded various Theological subjects essential for anyone to learn the Bible. Most of the audios were recorded at the Church at Birmingham. The dispensation chart this writer made was to help any and all students to choose or to hear select audios on any subject of choice in furtherance to personal Bible study. The 40 audios recorded by Brother Lindsey are placed sequentially on the dispensational chart from the Creation of man to the end of the 1000 year reign of our Lord. The subject matter on the chart has laid out a system of theology that aids any student to learn the Bible in proper context, proper sequence, and proper interpretation of the Old Testament Law, the Prophets, the four Gospels, and the New Testament Epistles.

In 2009 this writer continues association with past members of the Church at Birmingham. Those are Bryan Harley, Jim Elsman, Norma Parmenter, Jim Denton, Tom Lunn, Brad Erlandson, and others. This writer also has association with pastors from Detroit that were inspired by Brother Lindsey’s teachings over the air waves on radio in the 1980's. One Pastor is Brother Andrew Jenkins in whom this writer corresponds and fellowships with at present. Brother Jenkins contacted this writer in 2005 to acquire Brother Lindsey’s teaching audios recorded in 1989.

Brother Lindsey became a stroke victim in 1991. From there the physical ministry of Brother Lindsey dwindled however; his teachings for Christ are kept alive by his disciples. Hubert Lindsey was cared for in various nursing homes and by a few brethren in Christ. Howard Aschenbrenner (in whom I know personally) tended to Hubert and Phoebe as much as he was able in the late 1990’s. Hubert T. Lindsey deceased March 30, 2003 in Britthaven nursing home, in Raleigh North Carolina.

Why the “Church” (God’s great blessing of the Grace Covenant) is perfect…

First, Jesus is the builder of the Church…

Matt 16:18… I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Second…the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Church and here’s the reason why. The powers of darkness, the Devil, and death cannot prevail against the church because Jesus is the head (or the one in authority over the Church)…

Col. 1:18…And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

What makes Jesus the head of the Church? He purchased the Church through suffering, His shed blood, and a cruel death on the cross.

Acts 20:28…the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

The reason the church is perfect is because Christ purchased it, built it, is the head of it, and gave his Holy Spirit so you and I could be part of it!

Eph 2:22…In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Believers are a habitation of God through the Spirit.

The Bible teaches that members of Christ’s body, the Church are the “temple of the Holy Spirit and the temple of God is “holy”.

1 Cor 3:16-17… Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Holiness is the perfect work of God in the human soul. All members of Christ’s body are holy. Holiness is a result of God’s redemptive work within all members of the body of Christ. All members of the Church are God’s creation.

1 Cor 6:19-20…know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

The Church is the perfect work of God that came into existence at the death of our Saviour. The Church is the blessing of the New Testament and the Bible teaches.

Heb 9:15-17…And for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Before the death of Christ the Law of Moses given to Israel was the greatest blessing on the planet Earth. The Law of Moses was the greatest set of morals ever written. The Law of Moses demanded the shedding of blood for the remission of sins but when Christ died on the cross and purchased the Church with His own blood a greater blessing than the Law of Moses was given. That blessing was the Church, the body of Christ governed by God’s greatest blessing…the Holy Spirit. Under Grace the Holy Spirit prevails in the Church. Under Law the 613 commandments were given to Israel. Under Grace God blessed the “whole” human family…both Jew and Gentile.

Eph 2:11-14…Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

The Blessing of the Church was greater than Law because it was given to both Jew and Gentile. The Blessing of the Church was greater than the Law of Moses because it wasn’t only the commandments given to Israel. The Blessing of the Church is Grace given to the whole human family. …Jew’s and Gentiles. The Blessing of the Church tore down the wall of partition to Israel only…

Eph 2:13-16… But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

The blessing of the Church is the dispensation of the fulness of times…

Eph 1:10… That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ,

That “fullness” is the work of the Holy Spirit in the human soul.

2 Cor. 3:3…written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

The morals of the tables of stone were kept by man. The moral holiness in the Church is given through the perfect work of the Holy Spirit in the human soul. This moral holiness is written on the tables of the human heart. In the Old Testament man did works to keep the Law. In the New Testament man has the work of the Spirit within. This is the blessing of the Grace Covenant we now have in the Church.

There are some that call the Church the “salt of the earth”. This is not a true statement and takes the Bible from its proper context! Why? Israel was the “salt of the earth” and they lost their savor when they rejected the Messiahship of Christ.

Matt 5:13… Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

The Church could never lose its savor or be trodden under the foot of men or it would be “imperfect”. Christ would never create an imperfect Church. Israel was imperfect because they “rejected” Christ when He came. The Church is perfect because its builder is perfect. Remember against the Church the gates of Hell shall never prevail!

The Church is a product of the Grace Covenant we now live under. The Grace covenant is better covenant than the Covenant of the Law given to Israel. Why? Members of the Church, the body of Christ have the work and witness of the Holy Spirit in their hearts. Under Law man worked to do right…under Grace it was the work of Christ within that allows the believer to do right.

Heb 9:11-12…But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Heb 9:14-15…How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

May this revelation, given from a resurrected Christ be given to all believers like it was the Apostle Paul. May this revelation teach all believers in Christ how to rightly divide the Holy Scriptures…thus giving confirmation on how to make the distinction between the Church and Israel, Law and Grace, Jew and Gentile, and the Old and New Testaments. Grace and peace to all…
