Great Grace

The great Grace of God that saves the soul – from the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ is MUCH MORE of a blessing than blessings under law. Jewish men struggled to keep Law receive such blessings. Under Grace Christ on the cross took that struggle away and blessed men with the work of the Holy Spirit that gives (without human struggle). Grace freely given from God is so MUCH MORE that what man can struggle to achieve. Even the Apostle Paul, a Jew with strong Jewish background was able to grasp – this great revelation and Christian experience. MUCH MORE is the Biblical picture of God’s profound Grace that saves, redeems and supplies Salvation of the human soul.

· Forgiveness and cleansing from sin through faith in the sacrifice of Christ
· Great Grace - abundant Grace - Gift of righteousness - Power that morally changes man’s make-up
· Saved from Judgment and the condemnation of Hell’s damnation
· Reconciliation - united with Christ in the Spirit. Guilt freedom - sin’s dominion broken.
· The Offence of Adam result of the curse - divine nature lost - carnal nature passed into humanity
· Supremacy of Christ from the atonement of Calvary to His enthronement in Heaven
· Reign of death - Universal separation from God passed into humanity - resulting from Adam’s sin
· Law of Moses given to help man to recognize sin - showed the offence


Salvation offers forgiveness for all past sins. Salvation offers holiness of heart and conduct in this present life. The first man Adam at the Fall was a small picture if the divine nature (lost) – the second man Christ at the crucifixion made an atoning sacrifice and projects the HUGE PICTURE of God’s abundant Grace – Greater than the Law of Moses. Reason? Abundant Grace provides victory over sin’s dominion. Man struggled to keep the Law of Moses. Abundant Grace is freely given to make man a new creation - provides the believer with a clean heart and right life - results in the righteousness of God granted to the heart of a believer. Christ abolished the Law and thus took away the human struggle to achieve right standing in the eyes of God - at Calvary leaving us with these words, “It is finished”. MUCH MORE is the great picture of abundant grace projected in Romans 5. The free gift of Salvation given from Christ and so much more has replaced with magnitude - what Adam lost at the curse of the Fall.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness “by” Christ

Imputed righteousness is an act of God’s Grace that takes away guilt from the human conscience caused from all sins of the past. When forgiveness and remission of sins takes place God declares the believing soul, “Righteous”. When God speaks pardon to the human soul…no longer is this believer in Christ criminal in the eyes of God. Natural rebellion against God is taken away. The heart is forgiven from all sins of the past life and made clean and holy. Imputed righteousness, a gift of God’s Grace… is the beginning of a new life in Christ.

Romans 3:23-26…Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Getting right in Christ (imputed righteousness) is a blessing of God’s Grace where the heart is made clean and the past life of sin is removed. Staying right in Christ (imparted righteousness) is even a greater blessing of God’s Grace but relates to the present tense heart and life of a child of God. Staying right is a present tense operation of God’s Grace that is “imparted” to the human soul…by a living active Christ. Righteousness by Grace keeps the heart clean and the conscience clear from the guilt of sin. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness by Christ points to a “present tense” impartation of righteousness. Imparted righteousness enables the believer to keep his Christian heart and life in constant harmony with the Spirit of God.

Philippians 1:11…Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ

Being “filled” with “fruits” of righteousness, shows fruits plural in meaning. Fruits plural indicate that Salvation is not limited to imputed righteousness for past sins only… and that a child of God can be “filled” with imparted blessings of righteousness everyday of his life as Christian. The righteous heart and life in the eyes of God brings joy, peace, and contentment to the believing soul. So much, that he wants to tell the world about his blessing received, “from and by a living Christ”.

Romans 10:10…With the heart man believeth unto righteousness. With the mouth confession is made unto Salvation.

In Christ we stand

Standing for what is right is the great quality of a Christian. Right comes from the Lord our righteousness and is imputed into the believing soul. The world says, "You can't". Jesus says, "you can".

Jer: 23:5-6...Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The fruit of righteousness. Grace that "works in"...brings obedience that "works out".

The power of God's Grace is not a progressive work as many people think. Saving Grace is the power of Salvation which is the outflow of Calvary within the human soul. The effect of Calvary upon the believer in Christ... "morally changes the human soul". The corrupt and unholy heart is made clean. Holiness begins when the heart is made clean by the Grace of God. Salvation is a complete work performed by God's Grace. The fruit of Salvation is the morally changed heart and life of a sinner to state of becoming... a child of God.

When the Bible says, "Work out your Salvation with fear and trembling" it doesn't mean to gradually get closer to God. It means to work out what God already "worked within you".

Phil 2:12-13...as ye have always "obeyed", not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Notice the language of the scripture. Paul commended the Phillipian church because they "always obeyed". What caused these believer's in Christ, to obey God? God had already performed the work of Salvation within those hearts and lives. The Phillipian Church was saved. They were filled with the fruits of righteousness. Paul was confident of this, because he knew what God had already given them. He knew Divine Grace that flowed from Calvary was enough to sustain these believers, all the way through life...until the day of Christ's return.

Phil 1:6...Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Phil 1:10-11...That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

You can be filled with the fruits of righteousness in this life. You can obey God every day of your existence. You can have assurance and confidence that Salvation is the beginning of the new heart and new life. This is the blessing of Salvation and obedience to God. This is the new heart and the new life the Bible teaches about.  This is obedience to God that the world doesn't have or know about. You can live victorious! You can have contentment found in the holy life! You can walk and live with obedience to God every day of your existence in Christ! Be blessed by the power of God's Grace! This is what the Bible teaches! Read it closely! Meditate on it! Glory!

The will of man: Free or controlled?

In the book of Genesis at the creation of man an example of free will is seen in light of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God with a free will. They were free to choose right from wrong concerning the Divine Law of a Creator. Unfortunately they chose wrong and violated Divine Law. By choosing wrong (violating Divine Law) the original sin was committed. Through that offense humanity would no longer be in perfect harmony with God. As a result of the Original Sin... God cursed the serpent, the earth, the man, and the woman. Humanity was now subjected to sins natural dominion. The affects from the curse of the fall formed a divide between the spiritual and natural man and his eternal life or eternal death. Adam’s disobedience affected the natural and eternal make-up of man which thus changed mans future relationship with God. Only a Saviour could restore humanity with what Adam lost.

• Rom 5:19…For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The moral make-up of all humanity was changed after Adams divine nature from creation was lost. After the fall, a natural man was no longer born with free will like Adam had at creation. Why? Darkness crept into the soul of man as a consequence from the Original sins' broken communion with the Creator. Eternal life like Adam had when he was created ceased within humanity. Death and separation from God for humanity began at that point of time and thus passed into human conception. As communion ceased like Adam and Eve shared with God in the Garden of Eden a natural born child was thus separated from a God given Eternal life from birth. Unlike Adam and Eve who were divinely created beings in perfect holiness, the natural born child in a fallen state of being is born under the self-centered dominion of sin. For this reason the sinful nature within every child conceived was a direct product of the Original Sin. Darkness from Adams sin passed into the make-up of every child born throughout the history of mankind and thus produced spiritual death and a natural separation from God.

• Ps 58:3…The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Although not guilty (until the age of accountability) a child’s fallen state of being is unholy and morally polluted. A propensity of sin through human nature has sway within every child’s action, every child's intellect, and every child's mental process. The mind and will of man is controlled by a carnal faculty within the human being itself. The natural inclination of man outside the Spirit of God is ruled by self sufficiency and opposition to the Law of God. There is by no means any indication of free will here. This negative inclination proves what a natural man is without Christ. It also indicates how a natural man will choose and decide according to the Divine Law of God.

• Eph 2:3…whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath
• 1 Cor 2:14…But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them

With the exception of Adam and Eve before the fall the doctrine of free will is not recorded or taught anywhere else in the Bible. The Bible doesn’t teach the will of man is free to do right. Only the opposite is true. The subject of mans will being free is based only on opinion and tradition…not the language of the Bible. Contrary to the free will doctrine the Bible does teach the will of man is enslaved to indwelling sin.

• Rom 7:18-20…For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

The first Biblical account of inherited depravity was seen in Cain who murdered his brother Abel. Murder had never been witnessed in humanity nor did it come through example. It was birthed in the heart of Cain.

• Gen 4:9-10…And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground
David in the Psalms confirms that a child in the womb of its mother is conceived in sin.

• Ps 58:3…The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

David emphasizes the fact that the inclination of a child to lie isn’t imparted through association from the paren or sinful man...but comes through conception itself.

Isaiah the prophet taught that the mind and ways of man were contrary to the mind and ways of God.

• Isa 55:8-9…For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Jesus knew the condition of mans heart was to love darkness and hate light.

• John 3:19-20…men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Granted, Adam was created by God with a free will. Adam and Eve did have the ability to choose right from wrong but the carnal nature didn’t exist then. The propensity of sin comes through the seed of a natural man and is birthed into humanity since the fall of Adam and Gods curse upon humanity. Its ripple affect throughout the covers of the Bible was indwelling sin which thus affects human choice and reasoning to do right in the eyes of God. Man is no longer free to do right but under the control of sin.

• Rom 3:9-10…for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
• Rom 7:14…but I am carnal, sold under sin.

So the question arises, “How does man whose will is controlled by sin reunite to a right standing with God?” The only bridge between the frailty of man and the power of God is for a penitent sinner to believe from the heart...the death of Christ for personal forgiveness of sins. Gods Grace and the Holy Spirits presence through hearing the Word of God affects the human will enough to help man to change his mind to repentance. Godly sorrow which comes from the presence of the Holy Spirit works repentance in the soul of sinful man. Believing and trusting the person of Christ opens the heart and frees the conscience of sinful man from the guilt of sin. Justification, God's declaration of man's pardon from sin (when he believes in Christ), grants the penitent a right standing in the presence of God.

The affects of Gods Grace touch the human will when sinful men hear the word of God through preaching. The power of Christ affects the human will enough to lead men to repentance. In repentance the Holy Spirit's witness gives man a new desire to recognize Christ and quit doing wrong. This convicting work of the Holy Spirit helps carnal men to change their minds and trust Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins. Regeneration of the soul in the new birth takes place when man changes his mind and believes the person of Christ from the penitent heart.

Biblical Question: Where does righteousness come from?

Answer: Righteousness is a gift of God's Grace. Righteousness is produced in a believer's moral being and character. Righteousness today under Grace (in the Church) is not based on human works. Man doesn't seek righteousness in the body of Christ. Righteousness is found as a result of man's faith and trust in the person of Christ.

Romans 5:17...For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

Righteousness is received into the heart and character of man's being. Righteousness comes from your faith in Christ. Righteousness is a changed moral character by the Grace of God. Righteousness is the fruit of God's character produced in the believer's character. Righteousness has nothing to do with...self.

The Bible says with the heart man beleiveth unto righteousness...

Romans 10:10...For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;

Man is made righteous, by Christ. Not by works. Not by human effort. Not by anything man does. Righteousness comes in to the heart of a believer from a righteous Christ.

Romans 5:19...so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Isaiah 53:7...by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

"Righteousness has nothing to do with what man does. Righteousness flows into the human soul from the cross at Calvary. Righteousness is bestowed into the heart of a believer in Christ and therefore witnessed in the eyes of God".

Honor God

You're equipped by God to do right and live right. Right came down from Heaven in the person of Christ.Today right flows from the person of an exalted Christ who is back in Heaven.

Righteousness gives the believing heart the ability to honor God. Righteousness is enough power to keep you from dishonoring God. You're equipped with a God-given righteousness.

Righteousness flows from our Savior and flows into the soul. Morally the believer has the power to honor God in everyday life.

Christians honor God in everyday life. What a blessing! You're equipped! Bless God and bless people...with the same blessing God blessed you with. Be a witness for Christ.Tell others about the blessing of God's righteousness that gives you the power and strength to bring honor to God.

Righteousness fulfilled

Mat 3:15-17…And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased

Righteousness was fulfilled this day of John's Baptism of Christ. The Law was honored. Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and inaugurated into the Priesthood. An earthly Priesthood began...ministering truth to deceived Israel.

The glorious day of John's Baptism brought true moral righteousness to Israel. Jesus was 30 years old and had to be 30 years of age according to the holiness of the Law. This was necessary before Christ could minister in the Temple. Anointing (that signified God's ownership) allowed the Anointed One to minister true Torah....to backslidden Israel. Anointed One simply means, "Messiah" in Hebrew. Jesus fulfilled all righteousness required according to God's Law given to Israel. John baptized Jesus with water and the earthly ministry of Christ began. The promised Kingdom on Earth was presented to Israel for three years.

The perfect and sinless Christ was God's Promise for backslidden Israel to hear and convert. The King of Israel had come preaching the Kingdom was at hand. John's Baptism made Christ eligible to preach a righteousness that would exceed the righteousness of the Pharisee's and the Sanhedrin. The stage was set according to the perfect will of God. Thy King had come...as promised. The Anointed one spoken of by the Prophets was now ministering in the Temple and Synagogues, rebuking traditions of men, purging out old leaven, and establishing true righteousness in Israel. The promised Messiah had come preaching the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand!

John's Baptism of Christ was an inauguration to become an Earthly Priest ordained by God to minister to the needs of backslidden Israel. Righteousness was fulfilled and the ascension of the Holy Spirit like a dove proved such publicly. The Anointed One had come. The Son of God began His earthly ministry in obedience to Mosaic Law with perfect obedience to keep the Law.  The perfect and sinless Christ was God's Promise for backslidden Israel to hear and convert to true righteousness. The Anointed One came bringing such truth. The inauguration into the Priesthood after the order of Melchizedek had begun with John's Baptism. The Earthly Kingdom of Heaven was presented as righteousness was fulfilled.

The faith of Abraham and the Grace of God...before the Law of Moses was given

Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. This is "imputed" righteousness granted from God 400 years before the Law and Commandments were given on Mt. Sinai. Abraham was justified by God's Grace and counted as righteousness by the mighty hand of God. Faith in God's promises connected Abraham with God. The Grace of God made Abraham righteous.

Romans 4: 1-5...What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Romans 4:16...Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

The Grace of God existed before the Law and Commandments came. Here's what God said about Abraham and Noah.

Genesis 18:3...My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Genesis 6:8...But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

The word Noah means "preacher of righteosness" in Hebrew. Then you had Abel who was also a righteous man of God. All pointing to the fact that faith, righteousness, and God's Grace existed and operated "before" the Law of Moses was given at Sinai. All pointing to the fact that the blessing of Abraham would come upon the Gentiles.

Galatians 3:14...That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith

Galatians 3:17, 18...And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

How do I get righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost?

Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost are spiritual blessings that come from the King Christ who is now exalted in Heaven and resides presently in the Throne-room.


Romans 14:17…For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

The Kingdom of God flows in the Spirit from Heaven upon the whole body of Christ, the Church…of which we believers are members. The Kingdom of God stems from Christ the head of the Church who is seated at the right hand of the Father, now in the present tense. Here’s how you personally receive righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Make sure every sin is forgiven through your personal trust in the death of a Savior on the cross. Your personal trust in Christ brings God’s pardon into the human soul. By doing such the heart is cleansed from sin and the conscience is freed of any guilt caused from all past sins. This is a miracle blessing from Christ that is granted to any believer in Christ through personal trust. It’s called Salvation of the human soul.

After forgiveness is found the believer in Christ will mind (obey) the Holy Spirit’s presence and directive in life, as a child of God should. No striving. No human activity. Peace, joy, and righteousness in the Holy Ghost comes spiritually from an exalted Christ in the Throne-room. Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost does not involve human effort or human activity. Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost are miracle blessings from the Spirit of God. Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost are a gifts produced in the human soul by the power of God’s Grace.

Romans 14:18… For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God

For we are saved by the power of God’s Grace through our personal faith in a Savior that bled and died on the cruel cross at Calvary. The blessing of Salvation that comes from Christ is your righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Examine yourselves

2 Corinthians 13:5…Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves,

Knowing where you stand with Christ is a minute by minute obligation to a Savior that bled and died for your personal forgiveness found in Salvation of the human soul. Examination is a check and balance system for all believers to “know” where they stand at every point in their life on this side of Heaven.

The Bible teaches that some have erred or departed from their faith in Christ. Erring or departure is caused from unfaithfulness and disobedience caused from sin. If faith was an eternal blessing given from God, men would not have to examinine themselves to keep their faithfulness and obedience to Christ. The so-called blessing of faith (given from God) would automatically keep man true without need of examination.

Self examination allows the believer in Christ to “prove” his faithfulness to God and to “know” his right-standing with a Savior on a consciousness and obedience basis. To be conscious and aware to the presence of Christ in your life… belief and obedience to Christ is required. Examination allows the believer in Christ to keep himself in a constant state of the clean heart and holy lifestyle in the eyes of God.

What’s wrong with contentment and constant right-standing from faithfulness to Christ? Knowing where one stands in moral righteousness because God made you that way! Is this not a better life! A blessed new life with a clean heart! Freed from the guilt of sin! Ashamed of the old life. Obedient to God with no desire to go back! Staying on the path by the power of God. Keeping constant belief in Christ requires personal examination from time to time! Examination allows one to see what’s needed to stay true in the personal walk with Jesus. A child of God must live, act, and behave like a child of God. Must keep faith in the person of Christ, in the power of Christ, and in the presence of the Christ who is Savior and Redeemer!

Examine yourselves from time to time… to see whether you be in the faith. Keep yourselves right with God. Be blessed!

Truthful men, honest men, and sober men

The subject of this Blog (inspired by Brother Lindsey) is about the basis of Christianty that so many people strive to reach without ever taking hold. Striving is a big problem in the religious world. Striving is a form of works and sometimes even religious practice. If man continues to strive to reach Christianity it will never happen. Christianity is not reached by striving or any type of human effort. Christianity is "found" through acceptance of Christ. There is no other way! Then, God takes over your soul, your mind, and your thinking through the presence of His Holy Spirit. Christianity (like many people think) is not based on what man does. Christianity is based on the redemptive work of Christ in the human soul. Redemption performed by Christ is what makes a liar into truthful man. Redemption performed by Christ is what makes a dishonest man honest. Redemption performed by Christ is what takes a beer or wine drinker to a place of never drinking another drop of strong drink or alcohol. No striving or maturing process here...only the changing power of God's Grace. God's Grace has nothing to do with human effort whatsoever.

There is a tremendous misconception of what real Christianity is in this modern religious era. Christians are holy and the Bible says so! Holy men are made holy by the Grace of God found through the redemptive work of Calvary in the human soul. What Christ did on the cross is not blanket protection for sinful conduct as many people believe and practice. The Bible does not excuse sinful conduct in the life of a believer. God does not excuse sin in your life if you're a Christian! Holy men do no do unholy things. Holy men do not think unholy thoughts. If people in the name of Christianity still live like this... they sin against God! Period! Even Jesus taught the doctrine that a man was even accountable for His thoughts! What a man thinks can even be a sin!

Matt 5:28...That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mark 7:21-23... For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

James 1:14-16...But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.

There is no way a man can be a truthful man and tell a lie and still be truthful. There is no way a man can be an honest man if he steals something and still be honest. There is no way a man can drink alcohol and still be sober. Christians are sober men and never desire to have drugs, alcohol, or strong drink. Christians desire to be sober because being sober is a God Given desire and makes men good witnesses for Christ. Children of God do not desire to indulge in mood altering substance whatsoever! Especially in this Grace Covenant where we have the directive of the Holy Spirit showing us how to live, act, and behave. Children of God can see the ruination and harmful effects drugs and alcohol have in our present society. It's an open shame and even the sinful side of life will admit that fact!

I've written all the above to ask you the reader this one question? Can a truthful man tell a lie and still be a truthful man? Can an honest man steal something and still be an honest man? Can a sober man drink alcohol and still be a sober man? The answer is, "No". Therefore a Christian can not commit sin an still be a Christian. It's that simple. Living right is a blessing that the unsaved world never experiences. Living right brings honor to Christ. Living right comes from the changed heart given the Spirit of Holiness.

As mentioned above Christ's redemptive work at Calvary was not a work of redemption to permit the believer to commit sin and still call himself a child of God. God does not excuse sin! Yes! He does forgive sin but He doesn't blink His eyes at it or excuse it! Christians are to be holy! Christians are to be truthful! Christians are to be honest! Christians are to be sober! Christians are to live holy which in turn allows them to "stop" practicing sin. As long as a Christian remains in this God given state of holiness he will live according to God's standard every day of his life! That's why the Bible teaches Christians to, "Prove what is acceptable to the Lord". Prove it with Joy! Prove it as a witness! Tha witness will be honest, truthful sober, and HOLY! Glory to God!

In closing, please examine the following verse as a word from the Lord...It is my desire to encourage all believers to have this mindset toward those who struggle with a misconception about sin and sinful conduct in the life of a beleiver.

James 5:20..Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Heirs of Righteousness...

The Bible teaches that man is a fallen being. Man without God can produce no righteousness of his own. Righteousness is imputed to a faithful man through the action of God’s Justification. Within this Divine favor, Justification is granted to man because of man’s belief, trust, and consent of the human will to the person of God. The subject of this discourse focuses primarily on how the believer in God can be made righteous through what the Bible terms as, “Justification by faith”. Justification by faith allows any unjust man to receive God’s righteousness because of the finished work that Christ did at Calvary.

• Isa 53:11…by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

• 1 Peter 3:18… For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,

What is Justification? Justification is an act of God that pardons man from all sins of the past. Justification by faith declares man innocent from past sins committed and places this believer into right standing with God. Why? Man believes, trusts, and gives consent to God from the innermost depth of his heart. Justification by the Grace of God removes guilt from the conscience of man and allows fallen man to live and stay right in the sight of God.

• Rom 3:24-25…Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God

Justification by Grace through man’s faith in God has always been the bridge for fallen man to obtain righteousness from God. Justification given to fallen man is and has always been based on the promise of a Savior’s love for humanity.

• 1 Peter 1:19-20…But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world,

God gave the first prophetic utterance of a Savior to the serpent that deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:15). During that age according to man’s enlightenment to the revelation of God, the Bible teaches that Abel the son of Adam was a righteous man.

• Heb 11:4…By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Why was Abel a righteous man? Two reasons: First: he believed from his heart. Second: He obtained from God, a witness in his heart. Abel’s moral righteousness was given through the Divine favor of God. Divine favor was given because of Abel’s faith. Based on the Creator’s prophetic truth of a Savior, man has always been able to receive righteousness from above by faith in God. The revelation of God that enlightened man in the days of Abel was received, passed down, and witnessed through “Creation itself” and “verbal communication between man and God in the Garden”.

From the beginning God audibly revealed himself to Adam and Eve in the Garden. Down through the Ages God continued to reveal Himself through creation itself and the conscience of man. Only people who received God into their hearts were declared righteous through the Divine favor of God’s Justification. Since the fall of Adam through God’s promise of a Savior man has always been able to find right standing with God through faith. The Bible teaches that Noah was a righteous man and also a preacher of righteousness.

• Heb 11:7…By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

• 2 Peter 2:5… And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Faith allowed Noah to hear the voice of God. Obedience to God proved Noah’s faith. Noah experienced and knew about God-given righteousness through faith in his heart. Noah was thus compelled to be a preacher of righteousness so that others also could share the same righteous experience he personally knew with God. The revelation of God from that period of time was thus conveyed to humanity through preaching as well as creation, and the human conscience. From Adam, to Abel, and to Noah’s day…God was thus revealed to the human soul. All writers of the New Testament Epistles looked back to how God was made known in the Old Testament. Preaching stems all the way back to the days of Noah.

• Heb 4:2…For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

• 1 Peter 4:6…For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

After the flood in Noah’s day Divine Judgment and creation was known of men, remembered, and continued to be passed down verbally through the ages. Preaching continued to enlighten men to the truth about God the Creator and the God of Divine Judgment from the days of the flood.

God continued to reveal himself to the conscience of man in the days of Abraham. God promised Abraham that through him all the families on earth would be blessed. The New Testament revealed this blessing was Christ the promised seed. The blessing of this promise is received today in the Church the body of Christ because of Abraham’s righteousness of faith.

• Rom 4:13...For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

• Gal 3:29... And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Abraham’s righteousness proves that God justified him through faith. Even today believers in Christ receive the same righteousness from God. Righteousness is only granted to the heart of man through the Justification of God.

• Rom 4:1-5…What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

• Rom 4:20-24… He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead. Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Does talking the talk (about Christ) automatically mean you are walking the walk in Christ?

The Bible says...man first believes from the heart unto righteousness...then confession is made with the mouth. Romans 10:10

First, man is made right by the power of God.
Second, he talks about how Christ made him right.

He walks the walk first...then he talks the talk, second!

Why do I bring this up?

Some people say they are Christian...but live like the unsaved world lives. Where is the moral change? Where is the power of God? Where is the clean heart and holy living?

If you've got the power of God...Brother you've got it! You won't be ashamed to live it, walk it, talk it, testify to it, or show it in your character.

The morally changed heart and life is the fruit of the saving Grace of God. The immoral heart and character is the fruit of the unsaved man.

"Justification by faith" ... God's spoken pardon to the human soul

Rom 3:23-26...For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Verse 23... Says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God..."PAST TENSE". All "have sinned"...

Verse 24...Being justified freely by his grace we see...Man's trust in the shed blood of Christ for personal remission (forgiveness) of past sins that enables God's Justification to be "spoken" to the human soul. "PRESENT TENSE"..."NOW!"

Verse 25... We note that God "declares" or "speaks" righteousness to the heart of the believer in Christ after man's past sins are forgiven. "STILL, PRESENT TENSE". When God speaks pardon to the heart of man for past sins...the guilt of sin is lifted from the human conscience. Justification for the penitent sinner is performed through the forbearance of God. Simply put God puts up with sinners (forbears them) until man decides to turn from sin and personally accept the work of Christ on the cross for personal forgiveness of sins. Forgiveness from God brings moral righteousness to the make-up of man...

Verse 26...To declare, I say, "at this time" his righteousness: that "he might be" just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. God's declaration of pardon is righteousness spoken to the heart of a believer in Christ. God enlightens the believer to a realization and knowledge of a God-given righteousness that comes from the person of Christ. This believer in Christ realizes a sense of freedom from the guilt of sin (a pardon). God let's man know that faith and trust in Christ's redemptive work allows him to stand in the presence of an Almighty God "right"... without guilt or shame. The believer's conscience is clear as this believing soul finds peace with God that is found nowhere else in life.

Rom 5:1...Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Yes, my brothers and sisters Christ's blood "speaks pardon" to the human soul (PRESENT TENSE) through your faith and your personal trust in Him! God's pardon brings personal forgiveness and righteousness of conduct! Christ's blood speaketh greater things than the blood of Abel! Abel's blood spoke, "Guilt, guilt, guilt". Christ's redemptive blood speaks , "Pardon, pardon, pardon".

Heb 12:24-25...And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Heb 9:11-12...But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Dead works are man's own efforts to obtain a God-given righteousness that only comes through faith in Christ

Two of the greatest problems known in the religious world today are the (unsaved) man's struggles to try to obtain the saving Grace of God and; the believer's (the saved man's) struggles to keep the saving Grace of God at work throughout his entire Christian walk. Both of these struggles ring to the tune of the works of man rather than the works of God's Divine Grace in the heart of a believer! The Bible calls these human works, dead works. Human works take away from the work of God's Divine Grace! Human works "add too" the work of God's of Divine Grace! God doesn't need your works! That's why Christ suffered and died for you and I personally!

The Bible doesn't teach that man works to obtain anything from God for salvation or holiness! As a matter of fact, human works used to obtain Salvation or some other blessing from God are stench to the nostrils of God! Human works in relation to Salvation, holiness, and righteousness...are dead works! The Bible says so! All of man's "works" (human effort, human achievements, and human advancements toward a closer walk with God) cause men to look to themselves or to look to their own abilities or talents. This causes men to miss or overlook, God's Divine Grace that instantaneously changes the human being! This type of living in the name of Christ is contrary to what's taught in the Bible. You may ask, "Can you clarify that?" Yes I can. Here's how.

When man "tries" to work his way into Salvation or righteousness gradually, he trusts in his own ability rather than the ability of God's Grace which is a free gift that effectively flows from Calvary. This free gift of righteousness by Grace changes the believer in Christ, morally (in the present tense). If man tries to gradually "quit" sinful conduct, or to gradually "steer away" from the use of alcohol, sensuality, or dirty living... man hinders his faith and trust in the redemptive work of Christ at Calvary from having effective changes upon the moral character and being.

Doctrines that lean to the humanistic approach (rather than the Divine Grace approach) causes man to look to himself or to his own will power to overcome sinful conduct, addictions, and disobedience to God. This kind of mindset by passes the God-given righteousness that comes from Christ in this present Grace Age! This kind of mindset indicates the human will is not broken by the Spirit of God that flows from Calvary! The will of man is controlled by man himself and doesn't depend on God's Grace completely! Human ability sometimes causes man to "fall short of the glory of God's Saving Grace".

When the will of man is broken by a living Christ, the will of God can take over and govern the believer's actions and being through every condition in life. This believer will not come short of the glory of God anymore... because this believer has the power and effectiveness of Christ... that flows from Calvary! Now! Today! He's alive! That effectiveness is not personal forgiveness only. That effectiveness is also a God-given righteousness that morally changes man's character and being. God-given righteousness is the believers power to do right because man is unable to do right without power from above! It's the Christ given power of God's Grace "imputed" to a believer in Christ that provides a means for the believer to overcome "wrong-doing".

Notice Paul says, "All men have sinned". "Have sinned" is a past tense statement about men before they find Christ. All men "were sinners" and "all men have sinned" but Paul is looking back to a man before he finds the power and effectiveness of Christ (in the present tense of a believer). Before the believer touches or experience's the "gift of God's Grace", he is a sinful man! After the believer trusts in Christ's suffering and death for personal remission of sins God does something to this man's character and being. God not only " pardons and forgives this man" but He also declares this man righteous. How? He frees the conscience of a sinful man from the guilt of sin. Because of man's faith and trust in Christ at Calvary the cleansing power of God's Grace effectually does something in that man's heart and life. That beleiver becomes a new creation or conversion made by Christ.

Yes, my brother, God not only forgives you when you believe... He also "imputes" righteousness into that believing heart and soul to be the man or woman you should be in Christ! Imputed righteousness is a gift given to the heart of a believer from God!

Rom 4:22-24...therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Get this clear into your thinking...the gift of righteousness that's given to the child of God should not "come and go at will!" When you're awakened to righteousness that is given to your heart by Christ.. you don't desire to sin! The Bible says so! This righteousness I speak of is given from above...you the Christian are to live it out! God's Righteousness permits God's peace to comfort your conscience. God's Righteousness is the power to do right and to live right in the eyes of God every day of your existence. The Bible teaches that this gift of righteousness "reigns" in the life of the believer. This means righteousness "rules" the life of a believer in Christ, "Not wrong doing, not disobedience, and not sinful conduct!"

Rom 5:17...For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

The human intellect, the human inclination, and human reasoning may indicate something different than God's Word or God's Spirit! These human characteristics are not the truth of God's Word! God's Word is the basis of Christian faith...not man's human inclinations! The Word of God is the only true basis for light we have today. Christ makes us holy and right and keeps us that way if our faithfulness lies in Him! If you don't trust the holiness and purity of God's Word, and God's Spirit, "What are you trusting?' The human inclination to do wrong does not come from God! Man's ways are not God's ways. Don't let the human intellect have its way in your life if you're a child of God! God's righteousness will never allow you to "justify or excuse sin!" Human intellect will!

Remember Christ was "made" sin for us...so you and I could become the righteousness of God... because of what he did for us personally! God-given righteousness has nothing to do with what you do meaning your works! Christ suffered and died for you and I personally...so we could could be made the righteousness of God. Glory!

2 Cor 5:21...For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Should we live a righteous life everyday between now and eternity? The answer is yes...by the Grace of God! Glory! How?

Rom 5:20-21...But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Notice how "Grace abounds through our righteousness" in the New Testament after Calvary...Glory!

Awake to righteousness and sin not! For some have not the knowledge of God.

There are many people today (including Christians) that don't understand that people can live a life of holiness and right standing with God everyday of their existence. When I say this I mean people can live without sin or sinful conduct in the eyes of God. Perhaps some don't understand that man's works toward righteousness "under Law" was not a victorious life but a struggle to keep Divine Law. Maybe they don't understand that righteousness by Grace is not a struggle or man's attempt to reach a certain plateau, "It's a God given the power to do right, to walk worthy, and to be obedient to God everyday of your life". It's Divine power from Christ our Savior to, "Sin not" and to live a holy life. Awakening to righteousness is awakening to the fact that our righteousness under Grace is not what we do...but what our Savior grants and bestows upon us by the Grace and Mercies of God from Calvary. God wants people to "know" this in their minds and hearts. Many people today miss this blessed truth and live a life of defeat rather that victory in their walk with God in everyday living. At the Churches on Trial we teach that Christians can live a life of victory over sin with a victory over sinful conduct...everyday of their Christian life until they die or until they are Raptured. To sin not means this very thing...Christians don't have to sin. Sin is not essential in the heart of a child of God. Christians can sin...but they don't have to. Why? Christ gives members of His church, power... to quit sin completely!

Some people don't fully realize they are still living under the struggle of keeping the Law of Moses rather than having the power to do right under the Grace of God we now have in the Church, the body of Christ. We now can have the Holy Spirit's sanctifying power in our hearts and lives. Sanctifying power simply gives us a desire to be holy, right, and without sin in the eyes of a living God. Much of the modern deception that teaches wavering faith, or walking in the flesh, or struggling to keep Law is caused from living in the past tense teachings of Bible. What they are taught is often a theology in the Law of Moses or the Kingdom Age (in the four Gospels) rather than the bliss of the Grace Age that Christians are now entitled to (since the death of our Saviour on the cross). To be honest with you, many Christians today live in Israel's struggle and their inability to keep the Law of Moses, rather than the blessing of the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit that can "totally" possess a Christian's heart and actions on this side of Heaven. That statement is sad for me to say, but very much true!

Awakening to righteousness is awakening to Christ and his God given righteousness...NOT OUR ATTEMPT TO DO RIGHT UNDER THE LAW WHICH THUS PROVES OUR INABILITY TO KEEP THE LAW BECAUSE ISRAEL FAILED! Righteousness by Grace is a God given righteousness for the Christian to SIN NOT! Righteousness under Grace is not a human struggle like keeping the Law of Moses! Righteousness under Grace is a gift created at Calvary and now given to us today from the Throneroom! GLORY!

There are some people who say we can never have complete victory over sin! They are wrong in their thinking and lack understanding of the truth about God! The New Testament teaches that Christians "have" victory over sin! Every day of their life in Christ. People living a defeated life are living under man's struggle to keep the Law like Israel did when they went into captivity for 70 years; or when Israel murmured in the wilderness after God brought them through the Red Sea; or when Israel rejected Christ during His Earthly ministry. Man's own inability will cause him to fail God! Man's own inability will struggle to live up to the standard of the holiness of the Law of Moses. God knew about man's inability so He sent His son to die which in turn sent the blessing of the Holy Spirit upon us in the Church today. GLORY!

Today, under Grace our faith is not based on what we do...its based on what Christ did and what He's doing right now in our hearts from the Throneroom. Christ's living power in your heart can give you "all" the holiness you need in this life to live without sin. This is an awakening to righteousness... but not your own righteousness...its Christ's righteousness given to you from Heaven. Glory! It's Christ's power in your heart to do right and live right. It's a greater blessing than man attempting to keep Law of Moses...it's the righteousness of the Law "fulfilled" in our hearts by a living Christ. Romans 8:3-6

I admit some people don't know that Christians are supposed to live without sin! Some people don't want to know either! Others are so wrapped up in their theology of living under Law they never enjoy the bliss of the Grace Age taught in the New Testament Epistles. It's sad that people don't "know" the fullness of God's Blessing which allows them to live holy and without sin! It's sad that so many miss the fullness of God's Blessing which is the beginning of a life without sin and disobedience to God. Only life in Christ offers this kind of peace and contentment without wavering. Only this kind of life in Christ can take away the struggle of a back and forth life in and out of sin and Salvation. A life of victory over sin... is freedom brother! It's definately something God wants us to teach at the Churches on Trial. I feel so sorry for those who don't know these things about God. God want's us to know this truth but for many reasons so many miss this great wealth of knowledge. It is this writers desire with love... that all come to the knowledge of the truth about what God gives the members of His body. Examine the following verse closely...

1 Cor 15:34... Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:

Notice, it said that some have not the knowledge of God. That some is who I write to today! This knowledge that Paul speaks of, is a knowledge to know that God can get you to the righteousness of Grace where the believer has no desire to sin. This righteousness is a place where religious people will quit their meanness, and quit practicing sinful conduct! They will awake to a God given righteousness and sin not! Why? They will "know"! They will know. They will know the holiness of Christ. Glory! They will know that Christ gives them victory over sin. Therefore they will...

1 Cor 15:34... Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:

What happens after you "trust" Christ's death alone for the forgiveness of sins?

Trust in Christ's redemptive work at the Cross of Calvary allows God to do a work in the heart and soul of any man. I place emphasis on this initial work of God's Holiness. 

 The Holy Spirit gives the believer (a new convert) "a God given desire" to stop practicing sin. This new desire is the "power of Salvation" that any man has by trusting Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins. After man "trust's Christ" the Holy Spirit's initial work gives the believer a clean heart and a clean slate for holy living. This simply means a pardon from God is granted in exchange for man's faith and trust alone in Christ's redemptive work on the Cross. God's pardon (Justification) grants man a righteousness that helps this believer to live right and do right for the first time in his life. The God given attitude toward sin and sinful conduct (in the life of a believer) is to forsake sin! 

 To stop sinning and to forsake sin needs to be taught more this day and hour. This style of living and true Christian conduct is far better than living a "wavering life" in and out of God's saving Grace. I admit that "if we sin" we do have an advocate with the Father and that advocate is Christ. I also admit that any Christian can fall into sin...but the Bible teaches greater is He that is in me than he that it is in the world. Yes, the power of Christ is greater than the power of sin! The power of Christ teaches man "not" to sin. The power of the Holy Spirit takes people away from being a bunch of "religious sinners" or "part time" Christian's. The power of the Holy Spirit leads man to "victory" over sin. There is no victory in sinning religion. There is no peace in wavering faith. 

There is no contentment in sinful conduct. The only way any soul can be satisfied completely in this life...is by trusting Christ's redemptive work at the cross at Calvary alone for the forgiveness of sins. The holy heart and the holy life will find contentment. That contentment cannot be found through any other source in life...outside of the Christ I write about! Glory to Christ I serve! Glory to the God of my Salvation! Glory to the source of my holiness and righteousness in the eyes of God!

Eph 1:13... In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Man's enlightenment to the true Gospel and the gift of righteousness by Grace...

The Apostle Paul did use the Law of Moses “lawfully” under this present Grace Dispensation to point men to Salvation through the person of Christ. The Law of Moses pointed men to Christ. During Paul and Timothy’s day and hour there were no New Testament scriptures (as we have them recorded today). Holy men of God used the Old Testament Scriptures to teach and preach the person of Christ from.

All Scriptures (Old Testament Scriptures) that Paul referred to in his letter to Timothy were given for doctrine, correction, reproof, and instruction of righteousness. (2 Tim. 3:16) These scriptures were the Old Testament records passed down from Old. Within these Holy Scriptures there are many prophecies contained in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms that could point sinful men to Christ. This revelation of the Gospel is what convicts and saves men in this Grace dispensation. Most of the Torah taught Israel to have the righteousness of the Law by their works. New Testament records teach men to have the gift of righteousness because of the works of Christ. Paul understood the difference between the righteousness of the Law of Moses and the God given righteousness that comes from our Saviour who purchased the Church with His own blood. …so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous (Rom. 5:19) Two different types of righteousness, two different time frames… the first (during Mosaic Law given to Israel) before Christ’s redemptive work, and the second (under Grace) after Christ’s redemptive work at Calvary.

By Divine Revelation…The Apostle Paul understood New Testament truth about the Grace Covenant. By Divine Revelation Paul understood the miracle of the Church that Christ brought into play through His death at Calvary. Paul a Pharisee was a previous teacher of the Law of Moses before the Spirit revealed Divine Grace to his heart. When Paul wrote his letter to Timothy there was no New Testament records as we have them today. Holy Apostles and Prophets of God used the Old Testament records derived from the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms… to point men to Christ. This is the true Gospel that Christ commanded “us” to preach. …that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, (Luke 24:44-47)

Revelation of the Gospel that comes from the Old Testament records enlightens sinful men to the truth about God’s Salvation through Christ. In this present Grace Covenant Justification by Grace is a declaration made by God upon the heart of a believer because of Christ’s shed blood. Justification by Grace is a pardon from God that a sinful man receives by trusting Christ’s shed blood alone for his own personal forgiveness of sins. Justification is granted to the penitent because man turns from sin and…believes and trusts in Christ’s redemptive work at Calvary for personal forgiveness. Man’s Justification is not obtained by obeying the Law of Moses or by being convicted by the Law of Moses. Christ however; can be revealed from the Law of Moses and Christ will bring reproof, correction, and instruction in the truth about righteousness. Here’s what Paul wrote to Timothy concerning Old Testament Scriptures …And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Tim. 3:15-17)

Paul knew and realized (after conversion by Christ) that when an unsaved man (like himself) is enlightened to the truth about Christ (through the hearing of faith) he cannot be justified by his own personal works to keep the Law. Paul was a keeper of the Law of Moses and described himself to be blameless according to the Law… …Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. (Phil. 3:6) According to Law of Moses Paul made claim to be blameless… but He still missed Christ and the God given gift of righteousness by Grace. The righteousness of the Law of Moses could not produce salvation of the human soul. Therefore in this present Church Age it’s not necessary to use the Law of Moses to convict men of sin when the Holy Spirit under Grace does such work. …He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (Galatians 3:2-5)Using the Law of Moses to convict the sinner only teaches men indirectly…to keep the Law of Moses by their own works. If a man comes to Christ by the Law of Moses he would therefore be obligated by the same Law of Moses to obey it! Paul said…Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. (Galatians 3:10-13) James said…For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Christianity is built upon what Christ did and is doing now from the Throneroom! Religion is built upon what men do to reach God. When you leave human works out of the picture...then you can see the work and person of an invisible Christ... through belief. ... But before (the) faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. (Gal 3:23) "The faith" in the Greek text came through the Gospel message in the Grace dispensation we now live in. All this was revealed when the Holy Spirit became omnipresent in the Church.
