Ephesians 4:22 - Put Off the Old Man (part 2 of 3)...Hubert T. Lindsey

Putting of the Old Man is a subject in the Bible that many people don't fully understand in a fast paced world of religion, philosophy, and human interest. The fact of the matter is Paul is addressing "saints" and not sinners at the church at Ephesus. Putting off the Old Man is a death/crucifixion of self that a saint can experience. Death to self is revealed to a saint of God by the Holy Spirit "after" Salvation takes place. Interesting subject matter and a blessing to your life as a child of God. May these teachings by Brother Hubert Lindsey bless your life, your ministry, your marriage, and your personal walk with Christ. God put it on Hubert Lindsey's  heart to preach, and now these preserved messages are being publicized around the globe by the operation of God for edification in the body of Christ. Enjoy part 2 of 3 parts.

Holiday Greetings to our good Brothers and Sisters in Israel

I've noticed some of our viewers are coming over from Israel. G_d bless you all. Our teaching of the Gospel is based on the Jewish persective of G_d's Word. Please review some of our older posts and labels in the sidebar for excellent Bible teachings. The Gospel we preach is to be declared to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. Thanks be to Yeshua who has torn down the middle wall of partition between both and Jew and Gentile...thus making us both one in Yeshua.

Peace be with you all. We love you.

All it takes is, “You and Him”

Christ’s mercy constantly reaches out as a result of His death and resurrection. Salvation and forgiveness for all sins of the past are between you and Christ. Christ’s presence, Christ’s authority, and Christ’s power is extended to those who recognize Who He is. Jesus is the Christ. The anointed one who came. The one who was promised and recorded in Old Testament records. The only Prophet of God who died and rose from the grave.

Christ is Khristos in Greek
Christ Christus in Latin
Christ is the English translation of the anointed one

You can take Christ out of Christmas…but you can’t take Christ out of existence.

Christ’s presence is now…everywhere. It doesn’t take two or more to reach Him. All it takes is, “You and Him”. Christ recognizes those who come to Him to find mercy and forgiveness. Christ is not partial He takes people as they are. He can forgive the worst criminal, “right on the spot”…and change that man’s life forever. Why? Because He is Jesus the Christ.

Don’t need three or more people. All it takes is “you and Him”…Christ is in the midst…Now. Christ is omnipresent. In a glimpse people can recognize who Christ is. In a glimpse Christ can forgive a believer for every sin committed in the past, right on the spot. Christ is the reason for Salvation and forgiveness.

Though this man (Christ) is preached the forgiveness of sins. No other man in the in the history of humanity had or could offer fallen man redemption, forgiveness, or Salvation to the human soul.

I speak of Christ who is omnipresent, who hears the prayer of repentance from the sinner. I speak of Christ who heals the sick. I speak of Christ who is alive now and everywhere present. I speak of Christ who sent His Holy Spirit to regenerate fallen man. Doesn’t take two or three to find Him. All it takes is you and Him.

Today…Under Grace…because of the Church, God’s Spiritual and universal body… anyone can tap in to the the presence of Christ. All they have to do is “believe in Christ”…who He is, what He did, and/or what He’s doing now, in the present tense. Doesn’t take two or three to find Him. All it takes is you and Him. Belief in Christ brings the Christian experience of Salvation, a clean heart, and a life of right living. Every sin is forgiven and you know it.

All it takes is you and Him.

The Virgin Mary

The Mother of Christ. A virgin woman chosen of God to bear the son of God, Jesus Christ. Like every member of the human family Mary, the mother of Christ was born in sin and shapen in inquity. God chose Mary to enter the race of fallen man through a mere human being that needed a Savior like every other human being in existence. Mary is in Heaven today because she needed a Savior just like all humanity needs a Savior.

In the narrative of Saint Luke 1:46,47 we find the words of Mary recited as follows, "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior"...It was not human merit or personal holiness that qualified Mary, the mother of Jesus. It was God's Divinity that placed His seed into the womb of a virgin member of this fallen race to beget His Son, Jesus by the life of God within that woman. Through that incarnation and death on the cross every fallen member of the human family may find a way to be raised by God through the same Spirit of Holiness. A Spirit of Holiness that raised Christ from the grave and placed the Divine seed into the womb of the Virgin Mary.

Biblical fact regarding communication with the dead...

Duet. 18: 10-12…There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD:

Communicating or consulting with Spirit’s outside of God Himself is the sin of necromancy. Necromancy is a claimed form of magic that involves communication with the deceased.

There are modern trends, certain movements, and various religious concepts around the globe that allow communication with the dead.

This very dangereous and mystical form of enchantment goes on around the globe in this modern era. It takes people away from the truth about man’s personal relationship with God through Christ and gives a false impression and false hope.

Communication with God is simply talking to God or making your requests known to God, prayerfully. A clean heart that comes from Christ is the element that connects man spiritually and permits communication with God.

The way of Cain...

We all recognize Adam and Eve and the Fall of man in the Garden of Eden. What about Cain who killed his brother Abel? Cain violated life, nature, and God with the murder of his dear brother Abel...without human example. Notice the way of Cain?  Let's compare Cain's human religious works (without a cry for mercy) with Abel's offering of  sacrifice unto God.

Gen. 4: 2-4...Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

While Abel obeyed God...Cain disobeyed God and missed God's Divine favor. Cain was without confession or the witness of righteousness in his heart.

Heb. 11:4...By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous,

Gen. 4:5...But unto Cain and to his offering he (God) had not respect.

"The way of  Cain consisted of self made human religious worship".

1 John 3:12...Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one,

The wicked one was Cain's inherited propensity of sin. Simply termed as the, "Adamic Nature" that has tainted the human family since the Transgression of Adam.

Perhaps someone has departed from the faith of their believing parents. Abel didn't depart from the faith, but Cain did. Cain was a defiant and open sinner against the God of Creation. Cain was the first child of the fallen race, after the Fall of Adam. Cain had no experiential background in sin or disobedience to God. Cain was the first Biblical example of an unbeliever. The way of Cain was blind to the Devil's deception upon his mother, Eve. Cain heard from God directly and knew God...yet Cain still left the presence of God. Cain's ways were evil, defiant, and godless. Unlike Abel, Cain rejected what God wanted from him concerning religious worship. Cain turned against the God of all Creation.

Gen 4:16...and Cain went out from the presence of the LORD

Let's examine to the way of Cain in light of the present human family. Compare humanity and the unbelieving world today, with the self made human religious ways of Cain. If we have eyes to see we can clearly see that our modern religious world has drifted into the way of Cain. The ways of Cain have become a beacon in the life of society. Those who say God is about love and not about Judgment have gone in the way of Cain. Those who substitute religious works and religious ceremony for the death and resurrection of Saviour have gone the way of Cain. Those who substitute philosophy for Divine Revelation have gone the way of Cain. Society is elevated with the nature and ways of Cain. Cain is in the business world. Cain is in the workplace. Cain is in our educational systems. Cain has subtly formed in the Religious world.

Jude 1:11...Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain,

Someday Cain and those who have gone the way of Cain will be in the lake of fire...

"There is only one way out of the ways of Cain. That is finding the person of Christ; finding personal forgiveness through Christ's shed blood at Calvary; obtaining a righteous witness in your heart; and going through life God's way".

A life of "certainty" and "trust" in Christ is a better life

The reason the Christian life is a better life is because you have Christ taking care of, "you". You are certain in your heart because Christ directs your steps and gives you peace about your actions and conduct. You are certain in your heart with joy and gladness because the Word of Truth from the Bible is confirmed in your life. The clear conscience by the Grace of God builds this confidence in Christ. No more condemnation from sin. No more agony of living a double life or living a life right in your own eyes. The heart is made holy, clean, and washed by your personal faith in what Christ did on the cross of Calvary. His power and character comes into your soul by faith and trust. By staying on God's side of life (right in His eyes) you can be happy and contented with a contentment the world can never offer. You are blessed and happy because of Christ. The Spirit of God is united with your spirit and you are happy in Jesus. A happiness never known before in life that comes from clean Christian living. This life that is a better life comes from the person of Christ. It is a better life because God takes those who were lost and without hope and gives them hope and security. What a fellowship! What a joy! He has made me glad and happy! He has blessed this writer; this writer's marriage: and this writer's ministry. Makes me want to go and have a picnic!

The Spirit’s baptism…a baptism that saves the believer in Christ from the Judgment of God

The picture is Noah, His preaching for 120 years, and the eight souls that got in the Ark.

1 Peter 3:20…eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us

The waters of the flood came upon the earth…God’s Judgment and Wrath took the lives of every living thing…but eight souls were saved in the Ark…by water. They were saved from the Judgment of an angry God. They got in the Ark. They obeyed the Gospel. They lived according to God in the Spirit.

1 Peter 4:6…For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

The like figure is the Spirit’s Baptism that puts the believer into Christ and His body. It’s the Spirit’s baptism that saves us from God’s future Judgment. After hearing the Gospel, we repent and trust Christ for personal forgiveness. We get put into (baptized into) Christ by the Spirit of God which is a like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us. When we are in Christ we are saved from Wrath like Noah and his family were, when they were put in the Ark by the Spirit of God.

Gen. 7:16-17…And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

In the New Testament the Spirit’s baptism into Christ is a likefigure to how God put Noah and his family into the Ark and saved them from the Judgment to come. In the New Testament Jesus is the Ark. Glory!

Three types of people and three types of struggle

1. The sinner...without Christ; disobedient; in total rebellion to the presence of God; out of harmony.

2. The believer in Christ...forgiven, back into sin, forgiven, back into sin...etc. Without victory; has an inner conflict between the divine nature and the carnal. A civil war is in his members. Doubt interferes with his faith. He's up and down, in and out, back and forth, wants salvation, and wants the world. He struggles with his relationship with God. Worldly sorrow, not godly sorrow from wrongdoing. Double minded and unstable. Easy prey to temptation. Out of harmony. Uncontrolled by the Spirit.

3. The believer in Christ...repentant, forgiven, God conscious, morally obligated, obedient to God, holiness of character, strong in faith, victorious over the world, flesh, and the Devil; Sold on the Christian experience; Avoids or overcomes situations that can quench or grieve the Holy Spirit. Not easy prey to temptation. Avoids ungodliness. Obedient to the presence of God. In harmony with God. Controlled by the Holy Spirit. Single-minded and stable.

Three types of struggle...

1. What man can do to obtain salvation, works, human effort, not trusting God's divine Grace
2. Inner conflict, war in the members, conflict between the flesh and the Spirit
3. World pressures, weights, problems of life…outer circumstances

To our Christian Brethren around the Globe...

The Bible teaches us we can live holy and have a clean heart because Christ changes the heart of man with His saving Grace.

"If" we sin we have and Advocate (Jesus) with the Father. We can confess our sins to Him. He will cleanse and forgive...and restore us to right-standing with God.

The Bible teaches us to turn from sin and to accept Christ. This is repentance that comes "before" we accept Christ...not afterwards.

Christians do not pray to those who are dead. Christians pray to the living God who hears and answers our prayers. Necromancy is communication with the dead. Necromancy is a sin against God according to the Bible.

There is liberty in the Spirit of God. Grace gives...the Law demands.

Enjoy your walk with Christ. Do it in the Spirit...not in the flesh. Glorify Him in body and Spirit. You're His.

Thanks for stopping by.

Greetings to our Brethren in Columbia and Israel...

As the day of the Lord draweth near I thank God for your participation.

This Blog is designed to edify, teach, and minister the truth of God's Word. Much of the content of this site is based in the Jewish perspective of the Bible. Brother Lindsey taught the Bible from this perspective after being tutored by a Rabbi for 15 years. As for out South America brothers and sisters we offer much clairification to those who study God's Word and "do not follow the doctrines of men". There is so much content being offered here that does offer a good system of study.

May the Lord Jesus Christ be the center of your life and study of God's Word. If you desire to ask questions please feel free to contact me personally at r.roehm@fuse.net . In the name of Jesus or Yeshua. I apprecate you stopping by. Please be advised there is much more material to come in the year of 2011.

God Bless and please keep this site in your favorites.

Christ can purge man from dead works...

The object of this study focuses primarily on the person of Christ who delivers men from the bondage of sin and removes guilt from the human conscience. These factors cause men to produce “dead works” in the eyes of God. They struggle in sin to get saved; and they struggle with a sinful heart after they get saved. This struggle and this mindset has caused men to wander in the wilderness, to grumble, and to complain for centuries. Only Christ (who was offered once) can deliver man from such bondage and purge man from the guilt sin brings to the human conscience.

In the Old Testament men could make atonement for sin but the root of sin still existed and so did the guilt caused from sin. Only Christ who was God in the flesh could have sinlessness, flesh and blood as you and I, and still have the fullness of God’s Eternal Spirit to purge man from such bondages. The following verse states such truth.

Hebrews 9:14…How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Christ(God in the flesh) was filled with the Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary. The Bible tells us Christ was given the Spirit without measure. Matthew’s Gospel teaches Christ was led of the Spirit into the wilderness where he fasted for 40 days and was tempted of the Devil. Jesus was anointed of the Spirit when He became a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. By the Eternal Spirit Christ suffered, died, and rose from the grave according to the Scriptures.

Christ is the reason why we can be purged from dead works and the conscience can be freed from guilt caused from sin. Recognize who Christ is. Christ’s supremacy is the theme of the Bible. By Him all things exist. He purges man from dead works…

To our European Brethern...May the Lord Jesus richly bless you

Just a brief note. Thanks Europe for stopping by this site. We appreciate you coming here in the name of Jesus. The name above all names. This site dedicated to Holy Hubert Lindsey is now being published and ministered around the Globe. Our intent is to magnify Christ Jesus.

I have been lax in weeks past keeping this Blog updated. This is due to various things going in my life. Not to many things that Jesus is not first in my life. He is! Glory!

Anyway this ministry was started to spread knowledge about Bible and Christ...around the globe. Two types of knowledge. Intellectual or head knowledge; and experiential knowledge we get from the Spirit of God. This blog offers much preaching and teaching that edifies those who desire to know "more" about God's Word.

There are many Blogs and preaching audios to review here but I need to keep it refreshed often likewise. Also we would appreciate your Biblical comments or Biblical questions. Please keep in touch. Share our site with others. With love, may the Lord richly bless your life in Christ and your studies of the Bible.

Sincerely,
Rick Roehm

First Epistle of John (audio)...a verse by verse study...Chapters 4-5...by Rick Roehm

This part two study is MP3 audio only. Didn't get a chance to transpose to video like pt. 1. Does contain great information on John's rebuttal of Gnosticism and the victory that all children of God can have in Christ Jesus.

1 John verse by verse chapters 4-5

What takes place when a sinner’s heart is cleansed from sin?

The old hymnal I love very much asks the question? What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Rick Roehm asks the question, “What takes place when a sinner’s heart is cleansed from sin?”

The unholy heart is made holy as God’s Justification takes place. The new nature is given to the believer in Christ because of regeneration of the Spirit. God takes man out of the world and “baptizes” him into the body and person of Christ. By one Spirit we are all baptized into one body. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. Repent and be baptized everyone of you for the remission of sins…

Many things take place when a sinner is made into a child of God. Sin is washed away. The heart of man is cleansed. The Spirit’s baptism “puts the repented sinner into Christ”. A miracle takes place when every sin committed in the past life is forgiven. The dirty heart of fallen man is made clean. The sin stains are washed away as a result of suffering and shed blood of Christ. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Or…There is power, power, wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb. Or, He sought me, and he bought me with His redeeming Blood.

The cleansing power of the cross flows into man’s heart and life. Baptism takes place as God immerses the beleiver into Christ. This baptism is performed by the Spirit of God. Forgiveness is found and the conscience is freed from the guilt of sin. Many things take place in the heart of man according to the power of God’s Grace.

The heart is made clean. Man is “placed into” (baptized)into right-standing with God. It’s soul cleansing that comes from above. Born of the Spirit washed in His blood. Many things take place in redemption. I write of these things to clarify words in the Bible such as redemption, Salvation, being cleansed, the Spirit’s baptism, remission of sins, forgiveness, Justification, Sanctification, etc.

Honored to share with you what God has shared with me. Love using the lyrics to the old hymnals also. Those songs were scripturally sound. Based on the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb. This Blog also illustrates what takes place when a sinner repents, believes, and finds redemption in the human soul. God puts man into Christ. Man is baptized by the Spirit into the holiness and purity of Christ. If any man gets into Christ he is a new creation. We are His workmanship “created” in Christ Jesus. Much happened! Much took place! The sinner becomes a saint of God! Glory!

The Holy Spirit "testifies" Christ to the heart of man

The Holy Spirit shows man Christ. The Holy Spirit reveals the person of Christ. Christ is made known to the human family by the ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is the witness of God to the human family.

When the Gospel is preached Christ is made known. Christ shows the sinner his need to turn from sin and disobedience. Light shines and reveals sin. The Spirit's testimony tells the sinner there is a better way in the person of Christ.

This witness of the Spirit can convict. This witness can stir man so much that fallen man will turn from evil and wrongdoing. The Spirit's witness can be seen in goodness that "leads" or "causes" fallen man to change his mind. The Gospel message gets into man's thinking enough that the Holy Spirit can sway fallen man to believe.

The Holy Spirit "testifies" Christ to the human soul. There is power in preaching because the ministration of the Holy Spirit is behind preaching and touches man with truth and love. This touch is the Spirit's testimony of Christ.

John 15:26-27... But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness

Miracles come from the Throneroom

Miracles never ceased because Christ is alive and seated in all power and authority...in the Throneroom today! Christ confirms the truth of the Word of God with His signs, wonders, and miracles...from the Throneroom today. I've always known this but the revelation is becoming more clear and vivid to my heart and thinking. Brother Lindsey sparked this writer to that revelation of Christ, the miracle worker many years ago. Signs, wonders, and miracles come from an exalted Christ in the Throneroom. Glory! Signs, wonders, and miracles come from Christ's living active power and from His living active presence in the Church. Christ touches, and moves, and performs these miracles through His infinite love, mercy, and compassion for the human family. Healing comes from Christ. This writer is believing Christ for a miracle and wonder in the life and body of his precious wife Paula who was recently diagnosed with cancer. I know Christ's hand is upon this ministry and this family. Jesus is first and foremost...above all things in our hearts and lives. Your prayers for this situation are thankfully accepted; but I am also asking those around the globe with great faith in Christ to believe and trust with this minister and husband of Paula for a present day miracle from the Throneroom. Believe and Trust what God said! Believe and Trust what God does! Believe and Trust what God promised! Miracles never ceased because Christ is alive and seated in all power and authority...in the Throneroom today! Christ confirms the truth of the Word of God with His signs, wonders, and miracles...from the Throneroom today. Will you trust with Rick Roehm for Christ to make this confirmation? Thank you Brothers and Sisters for your love and concern.

Mark 16:20...the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following

Hebrews 2:4...God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles,

John 20:30...Many other signs also Jesus did in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book

What does the Churches on Trial mean?

The origin of the radio broadcast (which this site was named from) was a call in talk show that took Biblical questions that were answered by Brother Lindsey who was a guest on the show. The moderator was Jim Elsman a Lawyer in Detroit Mi. The show and the Biblical answers it provided actually put many local Churches on Trial. Why? Biblical answers given by Brother Lindsey revealed hidden truths that many denominations don't adhere to. Truth reveals. Truth removes the cloak of sin. Truth shows how many denominational are just short of the mark.

This site that contains many of the teachings and recordings that Brother Lindsey made still puts many local Churches on Trial today. It causes people to examine the Holy Scriptures more closely. It reveals truth from the Bible that many people overlook or dodge in this modern era.

The Churches on Trial is a God ordained continuation of the ministry that Brother Lindsey left behind. Today that ministry goes around the globe bringing glory and honor to Christ around the world. There are many hungry people in the world today that want to know Christ and the truth of the Holy Scriptures. The Churches on Trial does just that. We bring forth Bible Truth without compromise or denominational sway.

Our purpose is to magnify Christ in an unbelieving world. The Churches on Trial means truth without bias. The Churches on Trial means learning the Bible in context. The Churches on Trial means the ministry of Holy Hubert didn't die. The Churches on Trial means a lot more people desire to know the Truth about what the Scriptures really teach.

Hope you enjoy it! Send a link to someone. God bless and thanks for stopping by The Churches on Trial.

Tuesday night service at the Upper Room (08/16/11) ...by Rick Roehm

The following teaching at the Upper Room was made without a plan, format, or an agenda. It was recorded on an IPOD by Brother James Allen. All for the glory of Christ. Teaches on what the Bible says about being strengthened in the inner man by the Spirit of God from the Ephesian Letter. The beautiful thing about this kind of service is how the truth of God's Word comes out and ministers to the human soul. Clarification from the Bible comes to the listener. Man's opinion stays out of the picture. Definitely worth posting. The Bible is the textbook. The Holy Spirit ministers.

Jesus, The Rose of Sharon

As I make the daily morning ride to work I love to enjoy the elegance and beautiful flowers upon Ohio's, "Rose of Sharon". We have experienced a hot and wet Spring and Summer this year, in 2011. In all my years on planet Earth;I've never noticed the elegance, the dignity, and the beauty of Ohio's flowering plant called the Rose of Sharon. Perhaps this appreciation is because the Rose of Sharon is a Biblical topic and shares a beautiful, poetic, and prophetic picture of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. How I appreciate it's glory! How I appreciate the prophetic poetry from the Song of Solomon, about Jesus...the Rose of Sharon".

Song of Solomon 1:1-4...I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

What causes people to accept Jesus into their heart?

In order for man to accept Jesus, he must first hear about Jesus. It's not just an imaginary Jesus it's about what Jesus actually did and about what Jesus is actually doing now, from His exalted position in Heaven. Acceptance is receiving the the personality of Jesus into the heart. Acceptance is taking hold of the Spirit and character of Jesus. Acceptance is giving consent to the authority that Jesus has as Savior and Lord. So, what causes fallen man to accept Jesus? The Spirit of God.

The Spirit of God shows man what he really is (dirty, filthy, and without hope). The Spirit of God testifies Jesus and makes Him known. Man thus recognizes the fact that Jesus became a man just like you and I. Though the Spirit's ministration fallen men understand that Jesus suffered as a man and shed the blood of a man... so that sinful men could have a way to find forgiveness for their (dirty and rotten) sinful conduct. Outside of Jesus sinful men can never find personal forgiveness for their past sins. Only acceptance of Jesus Christ into the heart and soul can cleanse sinful men from the sin stains they live with in normal life...without Jesus.

Man's acceptance comes from a broken and contrite heart prodded by the Spirit of God. Sin (in a broken man) is only realized in light of the person and authority of Jesus Christ our Savior. Brokeness comes to the heart of fallen man from the convicting power of the Spirit of the Living God. Man's consciousness and awareness to Christ comes from hearing about Christ, as the Spirit of God ministers "truth and purity" to the human soul. Fallen man's acceptance comes from a realization of who Christ is. Acceptance (on a personal basis in submission) is man's recognition of Jesus with consent, brokeness, and understanding of what Jesus did on the cross at Calvary.

Man's acceptance of Christ "receives and takes hold" of forgiveness from all past sins. Acceptance allows man to realize that the guilt of sin is taken away, as result of the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Man's acceptance of Christ brings the changed moral character that only comes into the human soul by the power of God's Divine Grace. Acceptance looks to Jesus as the true and only source for holiness of heart and right living. Acceptance clings to Jesus for every need in life. The reason men accept Jesus is because they recognize His suffering for fallen man. Repentance turns fallen men to Jesus. Acceptance takes hold of the fact that Jesus is very God and Savior.

The witness of a man who has accepted Jesus for personal Salvation is an example and light for God. Not by choice, but by the Divine power of the Grace of God. Not in boast, but in humbleness of heart. Men who accept Jesus are changed men. Every sin is forgiven because they accepted Jesus as Savior. The heart is clean because they accepted Jesus as Savior. The testimony is strong for Jesus because men who accept Jesus, are mouthpieces for God. These holy men of God testify about Jesus. They tell the world about Jesus and behind every holy witness for Jesus, is the Spirit of holiness that raised Jesus from the Grave.

The reason men accept Jesus is because they hear about Jesus from people (like you and I) who were touched by Jesus. The Holy Spirit is behind these testimonies that minister truth. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and unrighteousness and leads fallen men to brokenness. The Holy Spirit is moving now and also  leading sinful men to an acceptance of Jesus. When sinful men "break" from realization of who Jesus is...they will accept Him as Lord and Savior and find forgiveness from all past sins and freedom from the guilt of sin. They will desire to do things pleasing in His sight because they have accepted Him, the True and only God. They will mind the Spirit of God because they have accepted Jesus as Lord as Savior.

Behind every sin...is rejection of Christ

Rejection of Jesus Christ? What causes rejection? Where does rejection come from? Does rejection come out of choice or is it a result of man's fallen nature? These questions arise...but what does God say about the subject of rejection of Christ? What does the Bible tell us?

As I write this Blog I think over and over again about how many people sin against God and wilfully reject the truth about Christ. I note that behind every sin is "rejection of a Savior". Sin and disobedience are products of the fallen nature of man. Sin is caused from man's natural rejection of Christ. The natural man is totally out of harmony with God because the nature and will are morally corrupt. Men are sinful by nature and compelled to sin and reject the truth about Christ. They are enslaved to unrighteousness...not by choice, but by nature. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God as they are foolishness to him. Therefore God said these people are children of wrath.

We are told in the Bible that men are "willingly" ignorant. Wilful ignorance is natural rejection of Christ and sinful by nature. The action and character of man is controlled by sin. The conscience is smoothered by self justification that considers itself right when actually wrong in the eyes of God. Why? rejection of Christ. Rejection of Christ says, " I'm to young to get saved". Rejection of Christ says, "I'm not ready yet". Rejection of Christ says, "I'm a good person because I give to charity". Sin is based on man's rejection of Christ.

What kind of godly choice can an unsaved man really make in the eyes of God? An unsaved man can choose to do right and still do wrong in the eyes of God. The intent was right. The action was wrong because Christ was still rejected and there was no righteousness from God within the heart of man. Righteousness comes from Christ not from within a natural man. An unsaved man's decisions are altered likewise because of rejection of Christ. The choices and decisions of an unsaved man can appear to be right in the eyes of the human being... and still be wrong in the eyes of God. Why? rejection of Christ. The will is still tainted. The choices are still morally corrupt. Why? The nature is fallen and unregenerated. Without power from above. Without the power of God's Grace. Without Salvation of the human soul that comes through a Savior's forgiveness that flows from Calvary.

Sin is not essential in the child of God because the child of God accepts, trusts, and has assurance in the person of Christ. Behind obedience to God is faith and certainty in what Christ did and what He's doing now. There is no rejection in faith in Christ. There is no rejection in trust in Christ. There is not rejection in certainty that is placed in the person of Christ. Faith, trust, and certainty bring obedience to God and the inner work of Salvation into the human soul. Belief in Christ consumes rejection. Belief in Christ brings the Grace of God into the human soul. Belief in Christ staggers not. Belief in Christ doesn't waver like the waves of the sea. Belief allows obedience to flow from the power of Calvary granted to the human soul. The desire to sin is changed to a desire to do right. The choices of the saved man become godly choices. The decisions of the saved man become godly decisions. Ignorance becomes knowledge of what Christ did and what He's doing. A child God knows not to do wrong. He is accountable to God because He accepts what Christ did for him personally. He is no longer wilfully ignorant. He's changed by Grace. Morally right as a new creature...created by God. Old things passed away.

Jesus is the new way. Jesus is the new life. Jesus is the truth that gives us a way to "escape" the enslavement of sin. Has Jesus became real to you? Are you morally changed by the Grace of God? Does the Spirit of God control you? Acceptance, belief, and certainty in Christ. No more rejection. Sin doesn't live here any more. Obedient and right in the eyes of God. Christ made you that way. Glory! Isn't that beautiful? Behind this blessed life of holiness is a Savior who takes care of His family and meets their needs. Aren't you glad to be part of the family of God? Goodbye rejection, Hello Jesus.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God unto Salvation.

Born into the family of God

Jesus told Nicodemus (John 3) that a person must be born, again. Note, He said again. Not a natural birth but a spiritual birth. All the Apostles knew that a man had to be born of God. Anybody that hears the Gospel message today...can find out that a sinner can be born into the family of God. How? The only description I can give you pertaining to "how" a person is born into the family of God is as follows.

Hearing the Gospel message allows the Spirit of God to come into a sinners heart and morally change. When God comes in...sin goes out. How? Forgiveness is found and the conscience is made clear. A spiritual deliverance takes place. A new nature is given to the heart of man...from above. The sinner is taken out of the world and baptized "into" Christ. This baptism is a spiritual baptism, or a "putting into" or "being emerged into"...the family of God. Born into the family of God. A new creation. A new heart, and new life, a new character, and new conduct. A child of God.

The best Biblical example I know of is when the children of Israel were "baptized" unto Moses. (1 Cor. 10:1-4) The hand of God took Israel from the bondage of Egypt; parted the water of the Red Sea; and took 600,000 people out of Egypt and delivered them into Canaan. These children of Israel were "put into" the land of Canaan by God Almighty. It was a Spiritual baptism. It was a " taking out and putting into" by the operation of God Almighty.

When sinners today hear the Gospel message about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ...the Spirit of God converts these sinners into the family of God where they become , children of God. Children of God are part of the family of God...because they are born of God's blessed Holy Spirit. Blessed is the God of our Salvation....Jesus Christ who made a way for us to be partakers of the family of God.

I have another Blog where I post a complete library of audios for the study of God's Word. If you care to indulge in these great teaching audios...please review at the following link at Wordpress. God bless you all and thanks for stopping by the Churches on Trial Blog.

Overcome the dangers of life with Christ

Children of God are blessed with a consciousness to the presence of Christ. Belief and trust in Christ gives children of God an assurance they are taken care of through every condition in life. Children of God also face dangers in this life. They must be cautious about worldly things...as  they walk with Christ.

The Devil still lurks to destroy the child of God's walk with Christ. The world we live in... is in total opposition to the life of a believer in Christ. The world accepts disobedient conduct such as drinking, drug use, gambling, lying thats OK, etc. The world says its OK, we're only human. The Bible says to, "Walk in the Spirit not in the flesh". The reason for walking in the Spirit is to keep your heart and life in harmony with the presence of Christ. Without compromise.

Compromise is dangerous. Compromise to the world is even more dangerous. Compromise to temptation is dangerous. The world we live in can "destroy" the walk of a believer as it subtly teaches compromise to the point that the child of God "throws in the towel" and gives into the worldly way of thinking. The Devil wants the marriages to be wrecked. The world hates the light and loves darkness. Without truth the world can teach a lie and some will believe it.

Don't be deceived. The world, the flesh, and the Devil are out to tear down and destroy the child of God. The world hates the child of God. Opposition against the truth will never cease. Love not the world. Don't be conformed to the world. This is where the test comes in. It's called the trying of your faith or going through the fire. Recognize the dangers caused from worldly opposition. Trust the Lord for everything in life. Keep your heart clean and holy. Walk in the Spirit...not in the flesh. The world cannot harm you if you depend on Christ. The Devil has to flee if you depend on Christ. Truth prevails as opposition diminishes. Glory!

The witness in your heart will keep you from faltering. A child of God lacks nothing concerning the dangers they encounter. Do not deviate from the truth. If you do your life will go out of order and the world can creep in. Your association with Christian people can change. Dangers multiply and then comes sin. When sin is found condemnation comes upon the human soul. Consciousness to peace found in the person of Christ...becomes misery. The joy that comes from Christ is lost and contentment is nowhere be found.

Keep yourself pure. Avoid the heaviness and condemnation that comes from sin. Stay steady and right in the eyes of God. Avoid the dangers of the world. When tempted turn to Jesus. Keep the flesh in subjection to a life of obedience found only in Christ. No compromise. When in doubt about something...be safe. Don't do it unless God permit. Husbands love your wives. Wives love your husbands. Marriage is honorable in the eyes of God. Christians are overcomers. Christians are more than conquerors. Christians are winners! Glory! The gates of hell "cannot" prevail. Why? Christ is your Saviour.

No debates, arguments, or fables at the Churches on Trial...we simply teach Christ crucified

This ministry was ordained of God to tell the world the truth about Christ. We are not based on hype. We are not in it for the money, nor are we in it to gain popularity. The reality is, "Christ is real". He changes things and gives us a better life.

We do not argue. We do not debate. We do not teach fables.  Our intent is to get people to Christ and to teach them God's Word.

The world is lost. So many distractions. Evil is rampant. The pressures of life are intense. The clean heart is the simplicity of Christ in your heart and mine. The Bible teaches that Christians have a clean heart. Christians are holy and right in the eyes of God. Christ is alive and His power is given to those who believe.

This is the plain and simple truth. Christ is the way; the truth; and the life. No room for argument or debate. God said so. It's final. To do the will of God your heart must be clean. Only Christ can clean the heart of man.  Don't be overtaken with the opinions of men. Read it in your Bible.

Truth undermines elegant stories which come from enticing words of men's wisdom. Truth plows under human wisdom with demonstration of the Spirit and power. Truth is only built upon the Word of God. Truth is not open for debate. Truth is only argued by people who reject it or don't understand it's worth. Truth is raw...and simple enough for a child to understand. Truth needs to be stood for and taught more!

At the Churches on Trial we put Churches on Trial because we don't water down truth. We don't compromise, nor do we apologize for teaching truth. Sometimes the truth requires giving up what you have. Sometimes truth seems unusual but it brings comfort to the soul. Brother Lindsey paved the way teaching truth so that's why we publish his timeless messages on this Blog. The Christ Brother Lindsey preached changed Rick Roehms life too. That's why I give my time and life to this cause.

May it bless your life. Thanks for stopping by this Blog to study these things out to see if they be true.  God knows your heart. We appreciate the fellowship. Enjoy the Churches on Trial, a blog started to magnify the cause of Christ in a present evil world. Make Christ your anchor and your joy. Appreciate you stopping by.

A revival message that can never die...Hubert T. Lindsey... (6 audios of 10)

The following (6) audios were recorded at a Florida Revival meeting in 1985 and contain a wealth of knowledge (from the book of Revelation)that merits publication. There are (4) additional audios to be added to this (10) audio series. The (6) audios posted below are in chronological order and cover many fascinating subjects in the Bible such as the, "mark of the beast", "God's promises to Israel", "the gathering", "the complete restoration",  and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all flesh".

Jesus, the greatest Father...Hubert T. Lindsey

Fathers Day Special!!!
I have been compelled to post this audio/video by Brother Lindsey for several years. A dear Brother (Jim Denton) from Mi. gave me this audio a few years ago. It contains very touching and powerful testimony for Christ. It also touches on the sanctity of marriage that so many need to know in this fast paced and evil world.

Today, Fathers Day 06/19, 2011 was the day to make that post! Brother Lindsey originally recorded this audio 06/19/1988. 23 years ago...Not a coincidence, huh? No. God has a purpose. This audio/video was necessary to post at the Churches on Trial as we endeavor to magnify Christ (and the truth concerning Christ in the Scriptures) around the globe.

In dedication to Hubert T. Lindsey, the father of the Gospel in Rick Roehm's life.

Hubert T. Lindsey...Ashes of a Red Heifer...#3 of 6

This profound teaching by Brother Lindsey was originally recorded in 1985 at a Revival Service in Florida. This audio is one of a six audio series that contains in depth and prophetic teaching on the subject of Israel's mystical Ashes of a Red Heifer. At present, these Ashes and the Red Heifer are currently being sought by Jewish leaders, in effort to restore and rebuild the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. The Internet has opened doors and is now allowing these Spirit filled and God sent messages to reach people across the globe for the cause of Christ. This audio is over 60 minutes long and contains a vast amount of unusual and true Biblical knowledge.

Hubert Lindsey was a Bible scholar and was personally tutored by a Jewish Rabbi for 15 years. As a Spirit filled minister Brother Lindsey could simplify Daniel's Prophecies and John's Book of Revelation and could tie them together and make them so simple..that a child could understand. In the contents of this profound series of audios Brother Lindsey clarifies controversial issues about the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple that is questioned by thousands of people around the globe.

Brother Lindsey left this God sent material (on audio) to win lost men and women to Christ before the Rapture of the Church comes. It has been my pleasure for 25 years to continue reviving these timeless messages. I thank God for Brother James Allen who also assists this preacher with the publication of these Hubert Lindsey audios. The Churches on Trial Blog has been used for this ministry for the past couple of years. We at the Churches on Trial thank God for the opportunity to continue this blessed work that Brother Lindsey placed onto audio in effort to bring clarification from the Word of God to many students of the Bible around the world.

On the player below MP3's and downloads by Hubert T. Lindsey these sponsored audios can be paused, shared, E-mailed, uploaded, or downloaded for future listening. We appreciate the assistance from sermon.net/holy to present these sponsored audios on the Churches on Trial blog site. In the future... The Upper Room and the Churches on Trial, hopes to sponsor their own player to  bless others with these timeless messages. Our intent  is to keep what Brother Lindsey started alive and make these audios, "A blessing to other people". Help us to help others with this blessing...for the cause of Christ. Thanks for stopping by the Churches on Trial Blog. Tell somebody about this site and help us to scatter the Word of God around the globe.

Hubert T. Lindsey, a voice for God for 75 years

As a voice for God, I also am honored to carry on this ministry for Christ, at present and for the past 24 years. This site (Churches on Trial) is now reaching people for Christ and teaching the Bible, around the world. Glory!  Brother Hubert T. Lindsey who inspired this writer to make this Internet site... preached Christ, recorded sermons, and impacted lives for Christ his whole life for 8o+ years on this side of Heaven. Hubert T. Lindsey a.k.a...Holy Hubert was and still is a voice for God today as a result of the Internet. Hubert Lindsey as a voice for God (and dear Brother in Christ) is worth mentioning and remembering. His voice still echoes Christ today in 2011. Hubert Lindsey is a major reason why I created this Blog site.

Hubert Lindsey preached Christ (thoroughly) around the United States for decades. He impacted lives and recorded sermons because he knew their worth in the future. He made radio broadcasts about the Bible because he knew the worth of his Biblical knowledge and witness for Christ. Today, a dear Brother (Jim Denton) and myself have hundreds of sermons recorded by Brother Lindsey that merit future publication. We both have endeavored for years to carry on this ministry. The voice of Hubert Lindsey needs to be heard around the world. His strong message about Christ, the Gospel, and vast amounts of Bible truth were recorded and preserved according to the will of God. Hubert knew this. Rick Roehm knows this, and anyone who finds the worth that stems from this vast Biblical Truth will learn and experience this for themselves.

Christ in the Throneroom is preparing hearts for His soon return. Holiness is the fruit of this message and ministry. Holiness was and is the object of Hubert Lindsey's ministry. The voice of God and the voice of men of God proclaims loudly, "Be ye holy as I am holy, thus sayeth the Lord". It takes backbone to preach holiness against an unholy world. Hubert Lindsey had Spirit filled backbone to pave the way. He had mercy, compassion, and love for humanity. Anyone will discover this fact when they hear the voice of Hubert Lindsey. Hubert Lindsey was a preacher, minister, teacher, evangelist, Theologian, Apostle, and called man of God. God used the voice of Hubert T. Lindsey for many decades. Check out his sermons at this site.

We offer preaching, teaching, radio broadcasts, Church services, and a complete Bible Theology for those whose desire to hear and learn the Word of God. Hubert Lindsey rightly divided the Word of God an laid foundations that stand for the long haul. Search this Blog site. Listen to the voice of Brother Hubert Lindsey. Allow God to minister truth and holiness to your heart and soul.  God Bless and thanks for stopping by the Churches on Trial Blog that God used Google to publish for the cause of Christ. Jesus cried over Israel's rejection...

Luke 19...And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

As a foundation of this Blog I have to go back to one week before the crucifixion of Christ. The Kingdom of Heaven message was rejected by Israel as a nation and so was the Promised King. God had promised the King and the Kingdom message to be presented to Israel. Isreal rejected both. It broke Jesus' heart to witness the attitude of rejection that came from the nation of Isreal His home country and fellowkinsmen. Jesus mourned, He sorrowed, and He cried. He cried because Israel rejected God's promised earthly Kingdom which is a hugh portion of prophetic truth contained in the Old Testament records. Jesus cried because Israel rejected the ones (the twelve and the seventy) He sent out preaching, "The Kingdom of Heaven was at hand". The message of the Kingdom to Isreal had to be presented! The Apostles, John the Baptist, and Jesus himself presented it! If the Kingdom message would not have been presented for the first three years of Jesus' ministry... even the stones would have cried out!

Luke 19:40-41...And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

In Matthew's account of these final days of Christ he spoke of Jesus literally withering the fig tree. This literal withering of the fig tree was actually a pronounciation of Judgment by Christ upon Israel for their rejection of the promised King and the Kingdom message. It broke Jesus' heart to do such because the Kingdom of Heaven promised from the foundation of the world was rejected and therefore postponed until the 1000 year reign of Christ.

Matt 21:19-20... And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

Marks account of Jesus's literal curse upon the fig tree spoke as such.

Mark 11:20-21... And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away

After Christ realized that Israel "lacked faith" so much that the Kingdom could not be established He wept over Israel. He knew their lack of faith. He knew their backslidden state. He knew their rejection of the Torah. He knew their rejection of the Messiah. It sorrowed Christ in His heart for the pronunciation of Judgement that was to come. The curse of the fig tree actually pointed to Israel's future destruction of the Temple in 70AD. Jesus foretold this destruction. Aniel foretold this destruction. The curse of the fig tree also pointed to Israel's lack of faith and doubtful rejection of the Messiahship of Christ.

When Jesus spoke of Israel having faith the size of a mustard seed He wasn't praising Israel... He was reproving them for their lack of faith and rejection of the King and the promised Kingdom. In Matthew you have these definative words about faith concerning if they would have recieved the Kingdom on earth...which was the Kingdom of Heaven.

Matt 21:21...Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

This moving of a mountain that Jesus spoke of was a "literal moving of mountains" just like the withering of the fig tree was a "literal withering of the fig tree" that pointed to Jesus' pronounciation of Divine Judgement upon Israel. You see...in the Kingdom on Earth (The Kingdom of Heaven) those who reign with Christ will have power over tangible Earth just like Christ had. That is how Peter walked on water. In the Kingdom Age...Jesus gave the disclples power over tangible earth, natural law, demons, scorpions, the weather, etc. Whatever they would say or would do would happen. Man was to have dominion over the natural laws of Earth in the Promised Kingdom. When Jesus wept the Earthly Kingdom was postponed until after the Rapture of the Church. Many things happened when Jesus wept!

PS...If Israel would not have rejected their own Torah...they would have recogized the Messiahship of Christ. The Torah spoke of Christ. Unfortunately, Israel followed the teaching of the Talmud more than the Torah which is the first five books of the Bible. Jesus taught the Torah.

Annual Fish Fry at the Upper Room

Every year we have a couple of Fish Fry's at the Upper Room. My son Chad and I catch the fish in the local waters of Southwestern Ohio. Last night we had our Spring Fish Fry and held Sunday service afterwards. The food was great! The fellowship was great! And, the communion in the Holy Ghost was beautiful!

The Lord's Body is beautiful! It is joined together by the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We are a family of God build together in love and unity. Jesus is our Saviour. The Word of God is the basis for our faith. When we come together as a people for Christ we can share food, love, fellowship, and just a good time together in Christ. Glory! Everyone was happy and blessed!

Brother Jim and Chasity (my daughter) took the pictures posted on this Blog. A great time in the Lord. Our food menu consisted of:

Batter dipped Ohio grown fish
Batter dipped Chicken Strips
Onion rings
French Fries
Caramel Cheesecake
Chocolate Mint Cheesecake

For dessert we had a little Word and a nice message by Rick Roehm for the glory of Christ. Our church has been open now going on the forth year. We are blessed and very thankful.

Has Jesus became real to you?

The reality of Jesus is how Jesus morally changes the believing heart. Man's initial change first begins when forgiveness is found through the power of God's Grace. Forgiveness is an experience that flows from Calvary into the believing heart. The reality of forgiveness is a conscience freed from the guilt of sin. Only the Grace of God can free the human conscience from the guilt of sin. This is the "real" blessing of God's Grace found through and acceptance of Christ as Saviour and Redeemer. It's a blessing that offers true contentment and peace to the human soul that can be found from no other source within humanity. It's a blessing that's only found when Jesus becomes real to you. You can know every sin has been forgiven when Jesus becomes real in your heart and life. Jesus has power to cleanse the heart of fallen man from sin. Jesus is real as His merciful hand reaches out to humanity. Has Jesus became real to you? Make sure He has. You can know every sin is forgiven. You can know you are in rightstanding with God at all times. All it takes is a clean heart that is cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Has Jesus became real to you?

We offer a complete library of Biblical Truth...for every student of the Bible

At the Churches on Trial Blog we have an accumulated Biblical library that touches on almost any subject in the Bible. If we don't have it posted write me and I will address the topic or point you to an audio that relates to that subject. The Blog archive God has allowed this writer to build over the past three years is vast source of info and posted for you the reader. The audio library that Brother Lindsey recorded on audio cassette has been transposed to audio uploads and downloads for your convenience and study. Here is a link for your convenience and ease of study. Just scroll down the list and find a subject that fits your study... Holy Hubert Lindsey audios

Brother Lindsey recorded and saved this material to be scattered throughout the world to win men and women to Christ. Brother Lindsey personally asked me to scatter this material for the Glory of Christ as I told him I would do. God has since made a way for this writer and preacher to use Internet technology to continue what Brother Lindsey started decades ago. What a blessing! God is using the Internet and this ministry as a tool...for the cause of Christ.

Faith is built on the knowledge of Christ. Knowledge we provide on this site, to help people to be better witnesses for Christ. God's Spirit is behind this ministry. We have much material posted and much more material to post in the future. Thank you for using the Churches on Trial to add to what God has called you to do. Tell others about this site and ministry. Share our ministry around the Globe.

Christ is soon coming. He is preparing His people for His return. Be ready. Be sober. Keep your heart clean. That's what we advocate at this site. We appreciate you stopping by. God Bless and put us in your favorites.

Holy Hubert Lindsey...a preacher who was tried with many circumstances but stayed true to God

On one of the audios by Brother Lindsey I heard several years ago he testified about a loss of property that he once experienced. It was in regards to an apartment building (owned by Brother Lindsey) that was lost in a fire. Brother Lindsey made a statement about this loss that has stuck with me for over 20 years. He said God showed him these 4 things listed below in this Blog. I made note of these 4 things as I have thus pondered them time and time again in my personal ministry for the past 20 years. I'd like to share them with you at the Churches on Trial.

The Enthronement of Christ
The sufficiency of God
The power of a resurrected Saviour
The ministry of the Holy Spirit

May they bless you  as much as they have this preacher. I thank God that Brother Lindsey shared them with me. Now, as writer of this Blog...I know why. God Bless!

If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross

Last night we had a beautiful service at the Upper Room. The sermon was about the final hours of the Lord Jesus Christ on Earth during His crucifixion. The Spirit ministered to our hearts about how personal Salvation stems from the suffering Saviour who could have came down off the cross because He was God in the flesh. When Jesus stepped down from His heavenly position He became a man, yet as the Son of God He had power to do anything within human comprehension, but didn't. God's plan for fallen man far out weighs human comprehension. Notice the Scriptures written by Matthew as the people observed our Saviour in public shame.

Matt 27:40...If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Matt 27:42...If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

Jesus was mocked by humanity. He was ridiculed by the Pharisees yet there was no guile found in His mouth. He was "made" sin who knew no sin, that "we" might be made the righteousness of God in Him. He bore the punishment for sin in His fleshly body at Calvary yet His soul did not see corruption. He could have come down off the cross and proved that He had power to do so..but didn't. Jesus by the Grace of God tasted suffering and death so that you and I could be saved and redeemed from eternal separation from God. When Jesus suffered on the cross He tasted death for fallen man.

Heb 2:9-10...But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Christ tasted death for you and I. He could have came down off the cross because He had the power to do so...but didn't according to the plan of God. His compassion and mercy for fallen man can not be described in His suffering. His love for fallen man cannot be described as He hung on the cross in public shame. Did He have power to come down from the cross and prove He was God? Yes, but if He would have come down from the cross you and I would not have had any means of redemption. Redemption flows from Calvary. The Holy Spirit was given to humanity through the Church that was birthed at Calvary. If Jesus would have come down off the cross the Church wouldn't have been birthed. Mosaic Law would not have ceased and Grace would not have begun.

During the ninth hour (after darkness was over all the land) Jesus commended His Spirit into the hands of the Father and cried out, "It is finished"...and then He gave up the ghost. The son of God had power to come down off the cross but didn't... so you and I could be saved. Glory!

God is behind this Blog...read it. Share it. Put it in your favorites.

Fear not. God is behind this Blog. Over the past year or year and half this writer/pastor has been going through some tight tribulation in the world. My sales job after 14 years came to an end. Some say economics caused the problem some say management issues caused the problem. Only God knows the real reason. Anyway I was blessed last Friday with a new place of employment...so now I'm going through that transition. New job, new people...lots of CHANGE. Perhaps the Blogs I write have been slighted I'm not sure. I write several. Can't do it during the day anymore as it's all about work so I'm up this morning at 5:30 am... filling in the gap. This Churches on Trial Blog goes around the world and reaches people with a touch of the Spirit of God. God has blessed this writer (and James Allen) with the time and the means to get all this material posted for your viewing and listening. God is behind it!

This ministry touches hearts and lives around the globe. God knows what's needed. This ministry is still under the hand of God. Brother Lindsey's preaching still ministers power today in 2011. We have so much material archived here and so much more to post. Now, all I need is time to make these posts as I'm giving attention to the new job recently. Please bear with us. Check out our Blog and utilize the material we have posted. We will being having new and fresh material coming in the future for your study. We appreciate your hunger and thirst for the truth of God's Word. Brother Lindsey lived and breathed to scatter this preaching material into all the world. So does this writer/preacher/and pastor at the Upper Room. Beautiful service last night! Anyway just wanted to share my heart and thank everyone for stopping by. We have years of material posted here and much, much more to come. Keep this site in your favorites. Share this site with a friend. We're in it for the cause of Christ and the salvation and edification of those who need Him in their lives. God Bless you all. Sincerely, Rick Roehm

Can a man lose faith in Christ and then regain faith in Christ?

Yes, but there is a better life than that. Here's why.

Losing faith is what the Bible calls the sin of unbelief. What happens when men lose faith in Christ? Defeat develops. People become habitually disobedient to God. Sin separates man from God's Saving Grace. As we all know - the wages of sin is death. Did you know losing faith can become a habitual life of defeat? Keeping the faith means you are faithful to God with victory in Jesus. Losing faith means you are unfaithful to God and living a life in defeat. Faith is a consciousness and awareness of Christ in your heart and life. If you don't know if your sins are forgiven. They're not! Faith in Christ allows man to know that every sin is forgiven and that the heart is clean and holy in the eyes of God. You can keep this victory every day of your life with the power of God's Grace.

A clean heart comes from your trust in what Christ did for you personally. Your trust in Christ and what Christ did for you personally is why you're forgiven by God Almighty. You will know you're forgiven because the guilt of sin is lifted from your conscience. You are aware of the fact that Christ made you a new creation and you know every sin is forgiven. This is soul rest. Soul rest is freedom from the guilt of sin. Redemption comes through your personal trust and belief in Christ. Can you lose this trust? Yes. Can you regain it? Yes. Don't waver back and forth in defeat. Stay steady with victory by the power of God's Saving Grace.

Men fall into sin. Why? They lose faith and quit trusting Christ for personal forgiveness. They turn back to sinful conduct. Sin is not an unconscious act. Sin is a wilful act of rebellion and disobedience to God. When faithfulness to Christ is lost, unfaithfulness to Christ is found. Unfaithful men are sinful and wilfully sinful. Not a product of belief and trust in Christ where Grace is found. A defeated life of misery and shame with "wavering faith". Christ gives us something better. It's a connection to the power of God's Grace we are to keep, "without wavering".

God's Grace and mercy is always connected to man "if" (notice I said if) man believes and receives Christ into the heart and soul. God's Grace and mercy is disconnected from the soul when man "loses faith in Christ" or "lets go of Christ". The Bible calls this disconnection grieving the Spirit and/or quenching the Spirit. You must hold on. Can you be reconnected if you let go? Yes. How? When you get every sin forgiven "again" through personal acceptance of the cleansing power that flows from the blood of Jesus Christ that hung on Calvary's tree. Faith in Christ can be lost or let go of. Faith in Christ can be regained. Who wants to go through all of this?

Wouldn't it be a better life to just, "Keep the faith?" Paul said, "Fight the good fight of faith". Paul said, "I have kept the faith". There is no better life than to stay faithful to Christ all the way to Heaven. No faith lost. No faith to regain. The Bible calls this "immovable in the faith". Glory! I get blessed just writing about keeping faith in Christ and in the Bible. They both have shown this writer that nothing can defeat the child of God! Faith in Christ doesn't have to be lost. Stay satisfied with a faithful life connected to Christ in the Spirit. Greater is He in me...than He that's in the world. Isn't joyful? Is this what the Bible means, "Joy unspeakable". Hallelujah!

They that sleep, sleep in the night

Sleeping in the night are those who are living in darkness. Sleeping means to be unaware of what's going on around you. These are godless and without hope. People today are so unaware of Christ and to be honest Christ is the farthest thing in life from their hearts and thinking. People drink and drug today without an inkling of what will happen in their future. With no ideal that substance abuse will control their lives, marriages, relationships with Christ. The booze takes over their mind and actions. the drugs take over their mind and actions. The temper is altered from use of drugs whether illicit or legal. Nobody in darkness knows how much the booze or drugs are going to consume them. These people are sleeping in the night. Living in darkness and unaware of Christ our Saviour. Even the adulterer or fornicator who begins the relationship outside the sanctity of marriage, doesn't have a clue of where these relationships will lead; or how many people will be hurt or affected by their sinful conduct and dirty living. These people are sleeping and unaware of what they are getting into. Darkness rules and blinds the minds of those who believe not in the Gospel of Christ.

I've written all the above to say this one thing,

"The child of God is aware of Christ and Christ's saving Grace. The child of God is not sleeping nor does he walk in darkness anymore. The child of God is sober and right at all times in the eyes of God because he has the God given power to do right. The child of God is not "overtaken" by booze, by sensuality, or by dirty living anymore. The child of God has the person of Christ in their hearts. They are sober and constantly watching for the coming of their Lord Jesus Christ. Their hearts are prepared for trials and tribulations that come during our life on earth. Children of God walk in the light because God's Grace made them overcomers in the world. Nothing can defeat the child of God. Children of God are of the day, not of the night. Children of God do not sleep in darkness, they are aware of Christ and His return to Rapture the Church. This is the character of a child of God who depends on Christ for every need in life. The child of God is aware of Christ and ready for Christ's return. The heart is prepared and watchful. Goodbye Devil...hello Jesus".

The life of a Christian, after forgiveness is found

What is the life of a Christian "after" Salvation is found? It's a life of accountability to Christ. Every sin is forgiven and the heart is clean and right. The moral make-up is changed. The desire to live right is given. The believer in Christ has "God given power to do right". The soul is redeemed. The soul is regenerated and deemed Eternal Life rather than Eternal Damnation. The conscience is "free" from the guilt of sin. You "know" you have a future hope without doubt.

When forgiveness is found pardon and innocence sweeps through the heart, soul, and body. The believer "knows" that God forgave and pardoned. Inner peace is given and realized when forgiveness from God is granted to the human soul. Trust in the redemptive work of Christ is found and experienced. This experience means so much that the child of God doesn't desire wrongdoing or sinful living anymore. The Spirit life is a God-given life to live out the the life of a Christian. Christians are not Christians because they say they're Christians. Christians are Christians because they've been "morally changed by the Grace of God". Christians act like children of God not children of the Devil.

Christians experience forgiveness in the new birth. Forgiveness is when the life of disobedience and rebellion to God ceases. Forgiveness is the beginning of a new life in Christ. The conduct and character is changed. When forgiveness is found a better life can begin. It's called the life of a child of God. It's a life of victory over sin and right standing with God at all times. It's a life of no more boozing or no more carousing. It's a happy life of peace because Christ gave you peace with God. Peace with yourself, and peace with humanity. No more guilt, no more wrongdoing, and no more dirty living. It's a life given to Christ because you appreciate what Christ did for you personally. You realize that Christ suffered and died for you! You're given to Christ and accountable to Him. This life has meaning, character, and responsibility.

Yes, my Brothers and Sisters this is life "after" forgiveness is found in the person of Christ that saved you. It's a better life than sinful living. It's a better life because you're aware of your standing with Christ today. It's a better life because you have assurance and hope of your inheritance in Heaven. No more question about right standing. No more I think I'm saved. You know! You know! You know! Glory! You're sure because you have. Isn't that beautiful? think about it. It's called victory in Jesus!

P.S...A forgiven and holy life will keep you from running to the alter every week.

The error of what some people think Sanctification is

Sanctification is not based on what we do. Sanctification is based on what we are. What is man? Man is a sinner by nature; a fallen being; and polluted with sin from birth. Sanctification has nothing to do with the new birth. The new birth only makes men eligible to be sanctified. Sanctification is not a progressive work performed by God as many people think. Sanctification is a completed and final work of the Spirit of God that "removes" the Adamic Nature from the life of a new born Christian. So often people want to believe sanctification is a process. Not so! It's the action of God's Grace that removes the Adamic Nature from the heart of man.

In relation to (2) types of sin (the sinful acts; and the sinful nature) an illustration can be drawn to show the vast difference between regeneration and sanctification. Regeneration is an initial work of the Spirit of God that takes place "after" man is Justified; and declared innocent by God from Heaven. Justification deals with the "acts of sin". Sanctification deals with the sinful nature inherited from the fall of Adam. A child is polluted with the Adamic Nature in the womb of is mother.

Man is rid from all sinful acts when Christ is trusted in and accepted for personal forgiveness found in Salvation that flows from Calvary. Regeneration of the human soul takes place when the new birth is found. The Adamic Nature still exists and tries to rule after regeneration. A regenerated man has power to do right, but the Old Nature still tries to rule. This Old nature that still tries to rule is only dealt with through Sanctification that is an instantaneous experience. The Bible terms this experience as the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. This work of the Spirit of God does not relate to forgiveness of sins it directly relates to the "removal" of the Adamic nature.

The (still existing) Adamic nature cannot be confessed because it is not an act of sin committed by man. The action of man's sins are only dealt with in the power of God's Justification by Grace. The nature of man's sin is dealt with only through the sanctifying power of God's Holy Spirit found in the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire (like on the day of Pentecost). This sanctifying work is not a progressive work but received right on the spot.

The two natures of man (divine and carnal) are not equal. Why? Greater is He in you...The divine nature gives the regenerated soul "power to do right". This God given power is what keeps the child of God from falling short or falling back into sin. Holiness of heart is found here. The Divine nature is the path to receive the sanctifying power of God that "rids" or "removes" the Adamic Nature from the life of a Christian. Sanctification is not a process or gradual separation from worldly things or dying to self. Sanctification takes place when the Indwelling Spirit of God "removes" and "rids" man from Indwelling Sin that still tries to rule a child of God.

The intent of this Blog is to clarify the "error" that many people think Sanctification is. Christians don't live to be Sanctified. Christians get sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost so they can really "live". The struggle of the carnal nature is removed in sanctification. The Old Man is buried and not shown anymore. Sanctification is found and experinced when the Adamic Nature is "destroyed". Read it in Romans 6:6! Don't be caught up in the error of understanding what Sanctification really is.

Four matters of importance...for the child of God...in these perilous times of 2011

When we look around to what's going on around the globe in 2011, to our economic conditions in the US, and in the political world many things come to mind. What does the Bible say about these topics? Last night at the Upper Room I brought out few verses about what the Bible teaches on the following subjects:

Christians making Judgment...1 Cor 6:2-3...Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Christians praying for those in authority...1 Tim 2:1-3...I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Christians in subjection to civil government...Rom 13:1-4...Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Is capital punishment Biblical? Romans 13:4...For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Learn and stay true to God's Word. Steer clear of human opinions based on anger, resentment and bitterness. Obey God and do what is right in an unbelieving world. God is in control of every condition of life. He controls the weather, He controls the governments, and He has judged Satan already. He saves and sanctifies our lost loved ones. He is merciful and His love endureth forever. Be a faithful witness for Christ. My God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Get wrapped up in Christ the problem solver...not the problems of life. God knows what he's doing. He will never let you down.
