Tending to the faith...

Yesterday, I was "tending" my garden. I was giving attention to my blessed garden because I love to eat healthy! 30 days ago I tilled the soil! 10 days ago I planted my tomatoes, peppers, beans, herbs, etc. Yesterday (after the rain) I hoed, weeded, fertilized, dusted, staked, and just nurtured what I planted. The better I tend to my garden...the better yield I get.

God showed me something in this beautiful lesson! He showed me how to live right and tend to my life in Christ. By tending to the things that "grow" my faith I get a better foundation in Christ. By trusting in Him for every need of my life He shows me how to live, act, and behave in an evil world that I live in. By tending my faith I study God's Word and learn how to walk as God intended.

Prov 21:5...The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness;

By going to the Upper Room on Sunday's I'm able to encourage others to tend to the things concerning faith. What a blessing it is to teach others how to tend to the important things in life! Like weeding the garden! Like fertilizing it! Like giving it support! Glory! Christ is in the center of this writers heart, life, and ministry! I'm so glad! He has made me glad!

Besides growing a garden and tending to its needs I love to eat healthy! By eating healthy I'm taking care of the Temple of the Holy Ghost! I've been physically exercising and working out the heart. The heart is my lifeline because life is in the blood. Tending to my physical needs.

Prov 4:23...Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

As for the spiritual? All the issues of life are dealt with through the heart of man. A clean heart from the power of Calvary is the secret. When God takes "us" over He gives us a sound mind. His Grace gives us the ability to think right and do right. By tending to these matters and giving all diligence we as children of God are fully prepared to deal with every circumstance and adverse condition in life.

By tending the right things in life God shows us the way through Christ Jesus. By tending to the things that concern faith in Christ God takes us through the hard times and pressures of life. By tending to our faith we see Christ morning, noon, and night! Glory! By tending to things concerning faith...Christ gets our "undivided attention!" Glory!

I write these Blogs from the heart to encourage and build up others in the faith. I'll close with these words, "Tend your faith like the gardener tends his garden". Maintain it! Weed it! Fertilize it! Support it! By doing this you will have just exactly the yield God wants you to have! Bless God! Tend your faith! Beleive! Trust! Have "full assurance"...in the Christ of our Salvation!

Holy, Healthy, and Happy...

I learned the above title from Brother Lindsey 23 years ago. Thankfully, God supports this truth with the blessing of the Christian Walk. I'm so glad to be a child of God. God, through Christ has blessed this preacher for 23 years with a joyous and happy life. Because of Christ I found contentment that the world couldn't offer Rick Roehm. I was so blind...but now I can see. Glory!

Isn't it beautiful that Christ can make you a winner instead of a loser? Isn't it beautiful that Christ can deliver man from bad habits and addiction? Isn't beautiful that joy becomes reality in the heart and life of a believer in Christ? Isn't beautiful to know there is an "up" side of life and that up side is the holy life in this life...and then Heaven when we leave this world. Glory!

Isn't beautiful to know God can give us victory through a Christ that not only saves..but also governs and controls our lives between the cradle and the grave?

I write these words because the world teaches defeat, struggle, depression, the dark side, financial woes , problems, stress, worry and so much more...but Christ teaches that you can have victory over these conditions and circumstances. Christ gives us a way out! Christ delivers! Christ meets our needs! Christ takes care of our needs! Christ is the "up side" of life. Christ is where real contentment is found. Christ is our hope and victory of these adverse conditions of life.

This Blog and my personal ministry for Christ is one that teaches people how live with adverse conditions of life...but to have Christ given victory over these adverse conditions. This is the better life where Christ is in control...not Rick Roehm. Glory!

I'm glad to testify that you can be holy in Christ! Healthy in Christ and Happy in Christ! Real contentment...real joy...and real happiness comes standing with certainty that Christ owns you completely. All that you were, all that you are, and all that you're ever going to be! Are you sold out? Are you holy? Healthy? Happy? If you are, "You've got it made"...like Rick Roehm.

I encourage all of you to give all to Christ. Let him have your heart, life and ministry. Goodbye world...hello Jesus! Keep me! There is no other way! Glory!

All Christians can be holy, healthy, and happy. I'm Glad God used Brother Lindsey to get this writers attention! Glory! Have a good weekend.

Open Air Preaching, from the Upper Room Ministry...after the Fish Fry Sunday

After our Sunday Fish Fry/Fellowship at the Upper Room we all decided to have service outside...in the Open Air. A Beautiful Service with special anointing! The Ministry of the Holy Spirit...Yes! People were touched! So was the Preacher!

Our own future Devil fighter (my four year old Grandson, Christen) was there among the audience. Every eye, every ear, and every heart was focused on the Preacher's Gospel.

In the middle of the service I asked Christen if he was praying for His mom and dad and he informed me, "Yes". Something happened! God touched a heart! His father was touched by the Spirit! Godly sorrow came on that father for two days! I got the report today! Something happened at that service! God used little Christen to minster to his father. The father was in sorrow and repentance for two days...touched by God! Touched by the ministry of the Spirit through his son! What a blessing!

I was touched when my daughter shared that testimony with me this morning! Two days later! God's Spirit at work. Changing hearts and lives...in His own time, in His own way, for His Glory!

This preacher didn't realize what happened until my daughter told me! I was so blessed! I thanked God! I realized this is how God works according to His understanding and not the preachers.

I shared this testimony with a Brother in Nashville, John Alvarez who is a Christian Minister, Musician for Christ, and also a Psalmist. John was touched! John told me he was inspired! He said he heard the melody in his mind. I suggested a title called, " A tear touching lullaby" that I came up with after talking with my daughter Chasity this morning!

Anyway here is a real life event with the true and living God at work! Blessed be his holy name!

I'll keep you posted with the future outcome. To God be the glory! Brother Lindsey would be blessed!

Why Holiness? Holy Hubert taught it until he died.

I've often wondered many times why Brother Lindsey taught holiness the way he did until he died. As you all know the subject of holiness goes against the grain of our modern religious teachings.

Did you ever personally wonder why Christians are to be "holy?" Holiness is right in the eyes of God. When you have a clean heart you're holy. When you live holy...God is able to meet every need of your life. With holiness your joy will become "full". Glory! You're settled in Christ!

The settled heart "knows that every sin is forgiven".
The settled heart has a clear conscience in the presence of God.
The settled heart is a happy heart.
The settled heart allows the Spirit of God to have full sway.
The settled heart "knows" Jesus.

The holy heart never gives place to the Devil.

The religious world says man cannot live holy! Thats the biggest "lie" ever told. The Bible says without holiness no man shall see the Lord!

The reasons "Why Holiness?" are many.

Rom 8:32...He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Notice Paul said, "God freely gives us all things". To freely give. To freely give. To freeely give. I like that! God "freely gives what we need if we're children of God". Children of God are holy! In Christ, God makes believers that way!

Memorial day weekend...2010

Fish Fry at the Upper Room! Sunday! Fellowship and communion in the Spirit. The dessert will be a nice little service after the dinner. This will be the second year we had a fish fry. My son Chad and I catch the fish! We will have Crappie, Sauger, Striper, and Bass.

Last year a man came up to me after the Fry and said the event reminded him of when Jesus fed the 5000.

Anyway just wanted to let everybody know that I still love them. May the Lord richly bless all of you this Memorial Day weekend.

What a mighty God we serve!

With Love,
Rick Roehm

Mrs. Roehm's testimony in prayer...

I was so touched today after receiving a call from my wife, Paula. Before work today (she told me she stopped into the Chapel at the Hospital) to talk to the Lord. Her prayers were for family members that need direct attention from God. How Blessed I was to hear that testimony and to see that witness in my household! These prayerful matters are so very important! God hears the prayers of His saints! God answers the prayers of His saints! Prayers go to the highest authority!

I love my wife and I'm thankful she depends on God the way she does. Also, every evening at mealtime we have prayer at the dinner table. Thanks be to God in Christ Jesus! I'm glad the Roehm family knows Him! I'm glad we can cast our cares on Him. I'm glad He provides! His eyes are upon us! He meets our needs! He takes care of His people. Glory!

No prayer request is to big or to small for the God of Creation. Sometimes when miracles happen, "It's because someone prayed!"

Holy Hubert reached this writer's life ...with the Gospel that Christ commanded him to preach

The Gospel message is carried by holy men of God and Brother Lindsey was a holy man. Hubert Lindsey was the Lord's Servant that delivered a message of truth and love to Rick Roehm's ear. I cried out to God and Christ sent Brother Lindsey across my path. Holy Hubert Lindsey was an Apostle of the resurrection of Christ. What a privilege to be discipled.. by one sent from Christ. I trusted what he preached but I also studied what he taught in the Bible...to see if it were true and sound. It was! It is!

I spent years of my life reviewing Brother Lindsey's teachings and sermons that were recorded and preserved. I've heard his miraculous testimonies and studied his vast teachings with joy. Today I continue the Apostles doctrine at this Blog and others; in my personal ministry; and where ever the Lord permits. I do it with all gravity and sincerity because it has blessed my life richly. It has blessed my marriage! It has blessed my relationship with Christ! It has blessed my understanding of the Holy Scripture just enough to keep me from being confused! The ministry God has allowed me to birth carries this same Apostles doctrine to the best of my God given ability.

Brother Lindsey told me this all would come to pass! His words of truth have blessed my heart, my life, my marriage and my ministry! Holy Hubert was right! His doctrine was sound! It took away confusion! It fortified the foundation my Christian life is built upon. The Word of God is simple and true but we must be true! Hubert Lindsey exhorted all people to be true to God! I loved that man dearly and I trusted his word of truth...everything he told me came to pass in Christ Jesus! That's why I am presently publishing Holy Hubert's preaching material on this Blog and on the Internet. To bless others as the Lord has blessed this writer and preacher. Hubert wanted that! So do I! Glory to Christ! His name was not only Holy Hubert...it was also Happy Hubert. I'm happy to because of the Gospel Brother Lindsy preached! I've got Christ, I have a good wife, every sin is forgiven, I have it made. (I copied that statement from Brother Lindsey) He...He..He...Glory! I'm getting Blessed!

Service tonight at the Upper Room...7:00PM. Bring five or six people with you!
