The error of what some people think Sanctification is

Sanctification is not based on what we do. Sanctification is based on what we are. What is man? Man is a sinner by nature; a fallen being; and polluted with sin from birth. Sanctification has nothing to do with the new birth. The new birth only makes men eligible to be sanctified. Sanctification is not a progressive work performed by God as many people think. Sanctification is a completed and final work of the Spirit of God that "removes" the Adamic Nature from the life of a new born Christian. So often people want to believe sanctification is a process. Not so! It's the action of God's Grace that removes the Adamic Nature from the heart of man.

In relation to (2) types of sin (the sinful acts; and the sinful nature) an illustration can be drawn to show the vast difference between regeneration and sanctification. Regeneration is an initial work of the Spirit of God that takes place "after" man is Justified; and declared innocent by God from Heaven. Justification deals with the "acts of sin". Sanctification deals with the sinful nature inherited from the fall of Adam. A child is polluted with the Adamic Nature in the womb of is mother.

Man is rid from all sinful acts when Christ is trusted in and accepted for personal forgiveness found in Salvation that flows from Calvary. Regeneration of the human soul takes place when the new birth is found. The Adamic Nature still exists and tries to rule after regeneration. A regenerated man has power to do right, but the Old Nature still tries to rule. This Old nature that still tries to rule is only dealt with through Sanctification that is an instantaneous experience. The Bible terms this experience as the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. This work of the Spirit of God does not relate to forgiveness of sins it directly relates to the "removal" of the Adamic nature.

The (still existing) Adamic nature cannot be confessed because it is not an act of sin committed by man. The action of man's sins are only dealt with in the power of God's Justification by Grace. The nature of man's sin is dealt with only through the sanctifying power of God's Holy Spirit found in the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire (like on the day of Pentecost). This sanctifying work is not a progressive work but received right on the spot.

The two natures of man (divine and carnal) are not equal. Why? Greater is He in you...The divine nature gives the regenerated soul "power to do right". This God given power is what keeps the child of God from falling short or falling back into sin. Holiness of heart is found here. The Divine nature is the path to receive the sanctifying power of God that "rids" or "removes" the Adamic Nature from the life of a Christian. Sanctification is not a process or gradual separation from worldly things or dying to self. Sanctification takes place when the Indwelling Spirit of God "removes" and "rids" man from Indwelling Sin that still tries to rule a child of God.

The intent of this Blog is to clarify the "error" that many people think Sanctification is. Christians don't live to be Sanctified. Christians get sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost so they can really "live". The struggle of the carnal nature is removed in sanctification. The Old Man is buried and not shown anymore. Sanctification is found and experinced when the Adamic Nature is "destroyed". Read it in Romans 6:6! Don't be caught up in the error of understanding what Sanctification really is.

Four matters of importance...for the child of God...in these perilous times of 2011

When we look around to what's going on around the globe in 2011, to our economic conditions in the US, and in the political world many things come to mind. What does the Bible say about these topics? Last night at the Upper Room I brought out few verses about what the Bible teaches on the following subjects:

Christians making Judgment...1 Cor 6:2-3...Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Christians praying for those in authority...1 Tim 2:1-3...I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Christians in subjection to civil government...Rom 13:1-4...Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Is capital punishment Biblical? Romans 13:4...For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Learn and stay true to God's Word. Steer clear of human opinions based on anger, resentment and bitterness. Obey God and do what is right in an unbelieving world. God is in control of every condition of life. He controls the weather, He controls the governments, and He has judged Satan already. He saves and sanctifies our lost loved ones. He is merciful and His love endureth forever. Be a faithful witness for Christ. My God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Get wrapped up in Christ the problem solver...not the problems of life. God knows what he's doing. He will never let you down.

Another testimony for Christ...prompted by Brother Hubert Lindsey

This testimony was sent to the Churches on Trial Saturday by a dear sister in the Lord who was effected by Brother Lindsey's preaching. We encourage anyone touched by Brother Lindsey's ministry to bring forth their testimonies so they can be posted at this site for edification of other members of the body of Christ. May this beautiful Spirit led testimony bless you the reader, for the cause of Christ. At present all testimonies sent to this Blog are found at the Testimony label at the left side bar.

Author of the Churches on Trial

Abby B. testified:

I became acquainted with Hubert Lindsey about 20 years ago when my pastor gave one of his audio messages to our evangelism ministry. We were young and laughed at his style and bluntness, but the tape made a strong impression on all of us. Recently I was led to dig that message out of storage and listen again. I was struck by Mr. Lindsey's depth of understanding regarding Israel. In my search for more, I found Rick's blog.

No, Hubert Lindsey is not a "cult figure," as I saw that one man had dubbed him. But I'm at a loss to express just how much I've gained from listening to this man teach. Brother Lindsey's fearlessness before man, his lack of personal ambition, and his purity of heart were very valuable when it came to rightly dividing the scriptures. What believer in Christ would not want to hear the words of a man who would openly question any Church tradition that contradicted God's word? What sincere Christian would not want to listen to a man willing to be beaten to a pulp over and over by the radicals of his day as he preached the gospel to them? And what hungry soul would not want to hear the words of a man who led thousands of angry, rebellious youth into the Kingdom of God?.

And can I say a word about Brother Hubert's knowledge of scripture?. If we are going to claim that the Bible is the infallible word of God, we ought to know what it says. I don't know of anyone else in the world who memorized the entire New Testament; but Hubert did. You can downplay the importance of that all you want, but when Mr. Lindsey opened his mouth, out came the word of God. We are mostly unwilling to spend the time it takes for such endeavors, but he did it, and it reaped much fruit because the word of God does not return void. Lindsey took the time to study the Old Covenant with a former rabbi and teacher of theology, whom he led to Christ, so that he could better understand the New Covenant. I have personally gained a wealth of knowledge and understanding from his years of study.

Jesus Christ is our Lord and our everything. I wonder sometimes, how much could be gained for His kingdom, were a few others to be as willing to suffer as Hubert was? He was stabbed, shot, beaten many times ... spent long hours pouring over the scriptures. Hubert was willing to challenge the youth of his day with the depth of their depravity, so they could repent and come into the Kingdom of God.

Brothers and sisters, I urge you to listen to the valuable messages Brother Rick has posted. They are not always easy to understand, but those who are willing to listen carefully will be richly blessed.

In Christ,

Abby B.

Matthew 24...Hubert T. Lindsey (audio)

In order to get a good understanding of this audio its important to understand that Jesus was born under Law, lived under Law, taught Law, and died under Law...until Grace flowed from Calvary. Secondly, Jesus preached the Kingdom message to Israel and never preached or commanded His disciples to preach to Gentiles or Samaritans. Jesus taught Salvation was for the Jew. He came to His own and His own received Him not. The Church was not existent during Christ's Earthly ministry. These points are important to know when studying the book of Matthew.

The Kingdom message Jesus preached dealt with "restoration". Restoration is what the Jew understood from Old Testament prophecy made by Isaiah, Joel, Daniel, etc. Many prophecies dealt with restoration and restoration dealt with the second coming of Christ. In order for God to "restore Israel " there first had to be Divine Judgment according to prophecy. This is the theme of Matthew 24...Judgment and Restoration.

Brother Lindsey clarifies Old Testament prophecy and shows the distinction between what applied to Israel and what applies to the Church today. This teaching takes away confusion that many are stumped on. This teaching on Matthew 24 will bring clarification as Brother Lindsey rightly divides God's Word.

Take notes on the excellent end times message about Christ's return to set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem... not to be confused with the Rapture of the Church! Study with an open ear to show yourself approved to God. Pause and start the player and use a Strong's Biblical concordance. Much, much knowledge about Christ's return in Divine Judgment contained on this 1 hour audio. May the Lord bless your study!

A scriptural tid bit to our Jewish Brethren in the name of Yeshua

This Blog is written for the glory of Yeshua. It was originated from the ministry of Hubert T. Lindsey who was inspired by a Rabbi (in whom he later won to Yeshua) and who taught the Bible from a Jewish perspective. I feel honored to have studied under Hubert Lindsey's ministry.

In my own encounters with the Jew I have noticed over the years that many run Old Testament prophecies to David rather than Yeshua. This is a great misapplication of scripture. Prophecies misapplied to David rather than Yeshua, take away from Biblical Truth that gives the child of God a deeper foundation of faith built on the Word of God.

Here's a beautiful Psalm (prophesied by David) that places light on both Yeshua and the Father... rather than the man David.

Ps 110:1...The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The Lord said unto my Lord...The Father said unto Yeshua...David speaking and giving full attention to (2) Lords...both Lord's in Heaven. A prophetic glimpse of the enthronement of two Lord's reigning from Heaven and making "all" enemies their footstool.

During the days of Yeshua's ministry while Talmudic teaching dominated in Israel (from the Babylonian captivity) Yeshua challenged the Pharisee's about this same passage and misapplication of Holy Scripture. Talmudic teaching had subtly deviated from the prophetic truth about Yeshua contained in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms. Yeshua (at the age of 31) knew this and openly confronted the Pharisee's about such injustice.

Matt 22:41-45...While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

Psalm 110:1 does not recognize either Lord to seen as an earthly son of David...or a man. Both Lords indicate deity in Heaven and not humanity on Earth. Neither Lord could have been David as David himself was speaking of (2) Lords in Heaven.

No one in the crowd or among the Pharisees could deny the truth of the Psalms that were written. No one in the crowd could deny Yeshua's challenge pointing to His own Messiahship. Truth prevailed! Scripture confirmed Scripture. All pointed to Yeshua who is and was behind Brother Lindsey's ministry and this Blog. Our intent is to glorify the name of Yeshua. Keep Him in your hearts and lives.

From the Churches on Trial I extend my love to everyone including our Jewish Brethren around the globe. Thank you for stopping by and sharing the Prophetic Truth of the Word of God.

Wrath of the Lamb...Hubert T. Lindsey

This excellent end time teaching by Brother Lindsey from John's book of Revelation focus's primarily on the wrath of God during the Great Tribulation. It describes how the wrath of God is ministered upon the Earth for seven years in preparation for Christ's promised return with all His saints. This audio describes the devastation, destruction, and renovation on Earth in preparation for God's promised Eternal Kingdom. Then comes the Divine Judgment of Christ, the wrath of the Lamb in flaming fire with vengence as He prepares Earth for His 1000 year reign with all His saints. Enjoy this beautiful 1 hour audio on John's Revelation of Christ.
