Enduring Temptation

Did you know that "temptation" doesn't affect the Christian the same way that it affects a sinful man? The believer in Christ has a God given power to... overcome temptation. The Bible says so!

1 Cor 10:13...There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The Bible teaches that God gives the Christian a way to "escape". This God given means to escape is what builds the confidence of the believer in Christ. Now, this man can say no to temptations that he would have normally yielded to in the life without Christ. Now, this man can say, "Thank You Jesus" for the way to overcome temptations.

After a period of time, after the experience of overcoming temptations is lived out in the life of the believer..endurance comes. That's why James said the following...

James 1:12...Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Enduring temptations is the mindset of a Christian. Enduring temptations "proves" that God is faithful to give His children a way out and a way to overcome.

This writer personally thanks the God of his Salvation for a life of victory in Jesus. I appreciate the truth about the holy heart and right living. The Spirit teaches such truth and so does the Bible. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be the God of our Salvation! Blessed be the Spirit of Truth...that guides us in holy and right living!

Overcoming temptation is fruit produced by the Grace of God that brings us our Salvation and holy heart! A Christ changed heart and life produces fruit that an unsaved man (without Christ) cannot produce himself. Holiness of conduct and right living brings peace, joy, and righteousness on the Holy Ghost! Thats why temptation doesn't have the same affect on the child of God! Glory!
