Bible Study on "faith" at the Upper Room… Thursday night

Increase Faith…2 Cor 10:15…Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,

Faith can grow…2 Thess 1:3… We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth

You can add to faith…2 Peter 1:5…And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

Faith made perfect…James 2:22…Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Holy faith builds…Jude 20… But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Impossible to please God without faith…Heb 11:6…But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is

Men can depart from faith…1 Tim 4:1…in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Conditional faith… Col 1:23…If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard,

Err from the faith…1 Tim 6:10…For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith,

Faith can be shipwrecked…1 Tim 1:19…which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Faith must be held on to…1 Tim 1:18-19…according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience

Be full of it without doubt…Acts 6:5-8…and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch: Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them. And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Faith is a certainty

Faith is a form of Belief

Faith Trusts God

Full assurance of faith…Heb 10:22…Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience

The foundation of faith…The Word of God

Faith can be lost

Precious faith is obtained…2 Peter 1:1…Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Mutual faith…Rom 1:12...that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

The just live by faith…faith qualifies a man to be Justified or declared innocent by God…Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38

Faith comes to man by hearing…Gal 3:5…He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Rom 10:17…So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Christ dwells in men’s hearts by faith…Eph 3:17… That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;

The acts of faith are three. They are distinct, yet concurrent exercises of the mind.

1. The assent of the understanding to the truth of God in the Gospel, especially that part of it which relates to the death of Christ as a sacrifice for sin.
2. The consent of the will and of the affections to this plan of salvation; such an approbation and choice of it as implies a renunciation of every other refuge.
3. From this assent of the enlightened understanding, and the consent of the rectified will, result actual trust in the Saviour, and personal approbation of its merits. This must necessarily be preceded by true repentance.

Are you ready?

Think about this for a moment or two, "What is the present state of the sinful world?" LOST
What is the present state of the Church, the body of Christ, at this time? RAPTURE READY
What is the state of the religious world? “IFFY?” Yes iffy! Why?It's…based on self sufficiency...not God's sufficiency.
What is the present state of the human being…saved or unsaved? UNSAVED and without Christ!

If you're not saved would you be willing to give your heart and life to Christ today for personal forgiveness and personal salvation?
Are you prepared to meet him in the air?
Think about it.
Are you ready for the Rapture?
Have you heard the Gospel? The Gospel that saves souls. The Gospel that God can change man morally with truth and Divine Revelation?
Have you really accepted Christ?
Do you want to escape bondage's that sinful men encounter in this life? Do you need help breaking away from the bondage of sin?
Do you actually know Christ for personal forgiveness of sins? Is every sin is forgiven? Is every transgression removed?
Sin is a bondage that all men need delivered from. Without Christ there is no deliverance

Without Christ Satan’s Crowd will run over you.
Hear me now...Satan’s Kingdom will fall...because the Bible says so!
We're in the worst time in history...

Are you ready for Christ? Are you willing to give your heart to Him?

The seven Churches are miniature pictures of seven Church Ages

In today's Blog (before I get into it) I'd like to pour my heart a little bit. For the past 10 days I've been doing a roof project at my residence that has been going up and down so to speak. As I delved into this venture and a very small corner of the business world of sub-contracting God warned and halted this writer with great admonition. I sought God's face and directive as He ministered to this writer's heart. Today as I write these words, I understood God's admonition as "all" my subjection lies in Him. He let me know a few things in the past 24 hours and here's a few examples of what He let me know. Don't gamble...don't get wrapped up in politics...don't get wrapped up in the business world...and thus He showed me why? He let me know these matters and conditions of life...could cost me my Salvation. So after realizing God's Divine influence I understood from Him,"Don't do it son!" A great lesson for this writer and much was learned concerning my hope and future plans in Christ. He called me to do His work...so that I must do! In the midst of all the ups and downs in life this writer in subjection to God concludes with the following verse ...

1 John 2:15-17...Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Now that's off my heart...here's today's blog from the book of Revelation.

The seven Churches are miniature pictures of seven Church Ages.

Ephesus,  left their first love - AD 100.

From the First Century Church to the Third Century you will find deviation from the early Apostle’s doctrine of Grace. Likewise men deviated from a consciousness to the Holy Spirit’s work and presence as taught in the Epistles. Water Baptism in all various modes for many various reasons became rampant for centuries. This plague is still in effect today. The teachings of Sanctification through the Spirit have dwindled. “Dead works” prevailed. Regardless of the doctrines of men the Body of Christ still existed through the Ages.

Smyrna… that Age ranged from 100-312 AD

During these years Roman governments were ruled by Caesars (212 years).  Jewish insurrections and political ties were strongly linked to the Religious world. On the Gentile side philosophies and pagan religious worship crept in. Jewish Law and Gentile Philosophy mixed with Grace. Grace alone in the Body of Christ was gradually becoming tainted. Papal supremacy which began at Constantine ruled for centuries. The Church still existed through this Age.

Pergamum means joined in marriage …that Age ranged from 312-590 AD

During these centuries you had the origin of priestly worship called the “Nicolatians”. Plain religion mixed with a Jezebel spirit subtly seduced men into religious worship and politics rather the Grace of God through faith in Christ alone. The Body of Christ still existed through this Age. The Word of God was written and preserved in Latin. Priestly worship, politics, and religion permitted crusades, wars, and dominance throughout Europe and that side of the earth for centuries. This continued through the Dark Ages as the Body of Christ still existed through that Age.

Thyatira allowed Jezebel to seduce …That Age ranged from 590-1517 AD

Then you had Reformation where men began to protest the Roman Church and its religious teachings. There English translations of the Word of God were made. The Protestant reformation existed for years where the King James Version of the Bible in English was introduced. The Body of Christ still existed.

This was the Church Age of Sardis …That Age ranged from 1517-1750 AD

After the Reformation you had an awakening that swept the world for three centuries. During this awakening God used mighty men of God to preach revival throughout Europe and it's continents all the way to the United States where revival likewise swept the U.S. with the power and presence of the Holy Ghost. One prevalent move during those years was the Azuza Street Revival that became a great testimony for Christ in the 1900’s.

Philadelphia in John’s Revelation was the only perfect Church …That Age ranged from 1750-1925 AD

The Seven Churches of John were actual Churches at that time however; those seven Churches also “revealed” the religious and political conditions that existed through the Ages until now.

We are presently in the seventh Age, which is the Church of Laodicia. 1925-to present.

Unfortunately this Church Age is neither hot nor cold it’s “lukewarm”. This lukewarm state is obvious for anyone who knows Christ to see; “Just look around”. This self-sufficient lukewarm religious condition at present  makes God sick enough to vomit.

· Rev 3:16-17…So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

The Revelation of Christ in chapters 1-3 deals with miniature pictures of conditions that took place in the Seven Church Ages. In Chapter Four of Revelation the Spirit of God took John up to Heaven, away from future catastrophic conditions and revealed to John what it will be like, hereafter. Hereafter what? …The closing of this Laodician Age where the entire body of Christ is caught up to meet with Christ in the air. The Hindering work of the Holy Spirit steps aside and the Wrath and Judgment seat from an Almighty God begins. Our present Church age is moving toward this closing where the Rapture of the Church will be a believer’s only escape from Christ’s future Wrath and Judgment where the Anti-Christ steps in. The closing of this Age is described in the following verse when John says, “After this”.

· Rev 4:1…After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

First words…after this (present conditions of the lukewarm Laodician Age).

Secondly…come up hither (dead in Christ and those alive being caught up in the Rapture).

Third…I will show you things hereafter (Hereafter what?)…The Rapture. What takes place on Earth after the Church is removed. Mercy is gone. The Omnipresence of the Holy Spirit as we know it in the Church …is gone. Then come’s the seals, vials, trumps, and the woes through the Wrath of the Lamb and the Judgment seat of Christ.

The Revelation of Christ in the Rapture shows how God is going to deliver His Church the Bride from a predicted devastation, Wrath, and Judgment. That deliverance is only a glimpse of God calling out His saints in the Rapture and taking them to refuge in Heaven before the Anti-Christ and works of Satan begin on the earth. Revelation thus describes Tribulation, Wrath, and Judgment on the Earth BUT!!! All this takes place “after” the Rapture of the Church.

What is the "best evidence" we have today that proves Christ is real?

The morally changed heart and life...by the Grace of God! The clean heart proves the power of a resurrected Christ. Deliverance from sin and holiness of conduct proves my Saviour lives! Christ is not a figment of man's imagination. He changes things Brother! The power of Christ is not limited. Christ can deliver man from alcohol, drugs, gambling, or the problems of life. From Heaven He controls "all" things. Yes my Brother, the best evidence we have to prove Christ lives...is your changed heart and life! Prove it with your character! Prove it with your actions! Prove it in your witness. He's alive and He changes things. Glory!

1 Peter 1:3-5... Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Col 1:14-16... In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Inside the Ephesian letter...Sanctifying power revealed!

The following breakdown of the Ephesian letter reveals the Sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit “upon” and “within” the hearts of those who trust in Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Note the first verse in this letter is written directly to the saint…not to the sinner!

· Eph 1:1…Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

In verse 13 of Chapter One the Apostle Paul speaks on how hearing and believing the Gospel message allows the work of the Holy Spirit to “seal” a believer. When the believer is “sealed” by the Spirit of promise this person is “put into” the spiritual body of Christ. This sealing or being put into Christ is similar to how Noah and his family were “sealed” in the ark and saved from God’s Divine Judgment of the flood. “Sealing” which is the work of the Holy Spirit pertains to the believer’s down payment from God; or an initial salvation of the soul. Sealing establishes the beginning of a spiritual union made between man and God through Christ. At repentance the will of a sinful man is broken by the goodness of God. When man believes and trusts in the redemptive work of Christ at Calvary he receives the forgiveness of sins.

· Eph 1:7… In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

· Eph 1:13…In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise

In redemption, a spiritual birth takes place within the soul of man. Inside of the new birth experience a channel for a direct communion with the Father is given to this believer through the work of the Holy Spirit’s presence. This access to the Father is given to the conscious believer in Christ through the omnipresence of the Holy Spirit... in the Church.

· Eph 2:18…For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

All members of the body of Christ (the Church) are spiritually joined to God through consciousness and obedience to the presence of the Holy Spirit. Obedience to God through the Spirit’s work in the human soul shows why the Church is a "holy temple" unto the Lord.

· Eph 2:21-22…In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Verse 16 indicates that a believer's “inner man” can be strengthened by the work of the Holy Spirit. This passage teaches there is “more” for a believer that can be received after the regenerating work of Holy Spirit in the new birth. The Ephesian letter indicates that the work of the Holy Spirit is not limited to the new birth only. This letter proves that salvation doesn’t stop at getting the sinner saved only. It teaches that a saint inwardly can receive more from God “after salvation” through the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit.

· Eph 3:16…That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

The Apostle Paul plainly states in the forth chapter that a believer must “put off” the former lifestyle which still exists in the life of a believer. Remember, the Ephesian letter was written to the saints and to those faithful in Christ. Certain saints at Ephesus were admonished by Paul to put off the "old man” which is simply like, “Taking off a coat”. Putting off the old man is done by the sanctifying work of the baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire. The Spirit’s sanctification crucifies and puts to death the still existing selfish passions, selfish habits, and selfish interests of man that stem from the old Adam. These and other faculties still existed in the life of those at the Church at Ephesus and Paul taught this people how Christ could deliver them from the still existing… old man.

Deliverance from the adamic nature is not taught much at this present hour. The “putting on” of the new man is like putting on a coat. This new man is “created” by God after the believer “dies” to all that he is. The Holy Spirit reveals to the believer what he really is and what he really needs. A sinful man is forgiven for the acts of sin he committed in the past through the new birth. A believer or one who received the new birth is sanctified from the still existing Adamic life after he receives his initial salvation. Sanctification is performed through an instantaneous work of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit like on the day of Pentecost. Death to the old man must first take place before any believer can be renewed in the spirit of his mind. “Renewal” takes place in the life of a believer “after” the believer is sanctified from the Adamic nature through the cleansing work of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire.

· Eph 4:22-24…That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness

In chapter 5 the Apostle Paul tells the believer’s at Ephesus to be “filled” with the Spirit. Being filled with the Holy Spirit takes place when the believer empties himself or “dies” to all that he is. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is the sanctifying work of the Spirit that delivers the believer from the existing Adamic life that still tries to rule. Being filled with the Spirit takes away a believers conflict with the Adamic life. Being filled is the Spirit’s work of sanctification that “destroys” indwelling sin and takes over this believer with the indwelling Spirit. Being filled with the Spirit takes place when the believer is “dead” and the Old Adam is gone.

· Eph 5:18… but be filled with the Spirit;

This filling of the Holy Spirit only takes place after the believer “dies”, “empties out”, or “puts off” the old man. This full surrender of the human will allows the Holy Spirit to have full sway of the believer without a struggle or inner conflict from the Adamic life. The Indwelling Spirit takes over a believer in Christ when he’s filled with the Spirit, like drunkenness takes over man when he indulges in alcohol or strong drink.

· Eph 5:18…And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

In chapter 6 the “whole” armor of God is given to men born of the Spirit who are later sanctified from self and “filled” and with the Indwelling Spirit. This is why Paul admonished the Church at Ephesus to get beyond the initial work of being sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise in the new birth. The whole armour of God which comes through the sanctifying work of the Indwelling Spirit fills and takes possession of the believer’s entire being. God’s whole armour provides the saints and faithful in Christ with victory over sinful conduct, victory over the still existing Adamic nature, and victory over the wiles of the devil. Complete victory without defeat! The full armour of God which is more than the new birth builds confidence in the believer and makes him steady in Christ. Why? This believer’s inner struggle is over! A man filled with the Spirit will also handle the outer circumstances of life and trust Christ to be the problem solver. A Spirit filled man will “endure” all the tests of life. Temptation doesn’t have the same affect on a Spirit filled man. A Spirit filled man knows that Christ the Head of the Church rules over the Devil, rules over demons, and rules over the powers of darkness. A Spirit filled man is a winner! The Spirit filled man serves Christ with “singleness” and “gladness” of heart. A Spirit filled man suited with the whole armour is and prepared for any battle that arises in life! That’s the reason why Paul taught the Ephesians that a Spirit filled man is an overcomer and doesn’t have to wrestle with flesh and blood! A Spirit filled man “knows” where he stands in the Grace of God as Christ governs that life. A Spirit filled man is strong in the Christ because he has the, “whole armour of God!”

· Eph 6:10-18…Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Have you reviewed the Holy Hubert audios at this Blog?

There are many audios and various teachings posted at this Blog. All were made by Hubert Lindsey in the past two or three decades. Brother Lindsey recorded these audios and I keep these preserved audios published in every way I know possible by the Grace of God.

I was tutored by Brother Lindsey in the Gospel according to the Prophets since 1988. I came from a Charismatic background without a foundation on how to "rightly divide" the Holy Scriptures. Through Brother Lindsey's call from Christ and his commitment to those who desire to learn the Bible I was able to find a foundation in the Word that's build upon the authority of Christ that I serve. Today I understand a portion of the Bible in its proper context. The Old Testament has its place. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John have their place and the New Testament we now live under today in the Church Age has its place. "The great tragedy of 2009 is the very fact that many run the whole Bible together without right division. This type of learning is very dangerous for a student of God's Word!"

It is this writers intention to keep publicizing Holy Hubert audios but, "Let it be known" there are many strong teaching audios posted already. The wealth of truth contained in this knowledge and posted at thsi Blog is what changed the course of Rick Roehm's future, his life, and his family status. I had the marvelous privilege to see the curse of unholiness (broken by Christ) that has tainted my family for five generations or more. Christ who has "all authority in Heaven and on Earth" governs this writers heart and life with all gladness. The Christ I seve in Heaven has restored and blessed my marriage. He has has given me godliness that offers contentment in the domestic life. Christ has broken the chain of the powers of darkness in my family for future generations. He's alive and in control of this writer and this Blog.

The ministry of Holy Hubert is why I write this Blog. Holy Hubert taught Christ! Please listen to and examine the Holy Hubert audios at this Blog and more are coming. A foundation laid by the truth of the glorious Gospel (preached by Brother Lindsey) will help you to endure the hardships of life. Bible Truth will stand through the storms of life because it's lain by work of the Holy Spirit. God used Brother Lindsey to get this writers attention focused on Christ. Today I publish Holy Hubert's audio ministry to help others to lay and fortify foundations built by the Gospel he preached.

Check the audios out! More are coming!

God Bless,

Fruit produced from Brother Lindsey's Gospel...

The Gospel that Brother Lindsey preached is a heart and life changing Gospel. This writer knows because he experienced the power of that very Gospel. That same Gospel affected this writer enough...that this writer lives to continue what Brother lived for. I had the wonderful privilege to tell Brother Lindsey before he died that this ministry would be carried on by the Grace of God, until I likewise die or get Raptured to meet with Christ in the air.

In the past two years we opened the Upper Room as a place to worship and to bring honor to Christ, to have Bible Studies, and to fellowship in the Spirit in brotherly love. The Upper Room is a New Testament Church built upon the Apostle's doctrine of the Grace of God according to the Gospel. Our Church is built upon New Testament Church Government and not the Old. We have no agenda or certain format...we simply follow the directive of the Holy Spirit in the Church setting and in our everyday lives as servants of Christ. We believe counseling comes from the pulpit as the Holy Spirit ministers to the needs of our lives through the power of the Gospel we preach.

This past weekend was a work weekend at the Roehm residence as two dear Brothers from Albany, New York and Pontiac, Michigan took time out of their lives to travel long distances to fellowship with us at the Upper Room, Sunday night. These brothers I mention were Howard Aschenbrenner and Bryan Harley. Both Brothers (like this writer also) were influenced and impacted by our dear Brother Hubert Lindsey's powerful Gospel message and his in depth teachings of rightly dividing God's Word. How blessed we were to have word and spiritual song from Brother Bryan! How blessed we were to have a shared testimony from Brother Howard! How blessed we were to have the Holy Spirit minister to our hearts and soul through His Divine presence of holiness, purity, and love! Little Tristen (My grandson and our three year old future Devil fighter)http://www.christianblog.com/member_data/gallery/fullsize/rickroehm-1235569173.jpg also ministered to us with his song in front of the Church! How blessed we are to have fellowship and communion in the Spirit at the Upper Room! How blessed we are to have been taught the Grace of God in doctrine...and the love of God in fellowship by our dear Brother whose in Heaven now...Brother Hubert Lindsey!

This Blog is dedicated to Brother Lindsey, his ministry, his Radio show, and his doctrinal teachings that were left with us before he passed on. I personally thank God for sending Brother Lindsey across this writers path. Like many other people that I've met across this nation, Brother Lindsey impacted this writer with enough Bible truth that I am able to stand immovable in the Grace of God as a believer in Christ, a minister of the Gospel, and a teacher of New Testament Church structure of which I learned from this dear Brother.

I thank God for Brother Lindsey, and I thank God I can share these things with you at this Blog! I thank God that the Gospel we preach produces fruit in the hearts and lives of those who recieve it! Glory to Christ in the highest!
