The prince of the world
The Prince of the world is not to be confused with Jesus Christ, our Prince of peace. Scriptures included with this discourse will clarify. The Prince of the world is a prophetic picture of the Antichrist under the dominion of Satan. The Antichrist has prophetically been known and spoken of since the fall of Adam - throughout the entire plan of God
The Antichrist (also know as the man of sin/son of perdition) will not come into full power until the Great Tribulation takes place after the Rapture of the Church. During that time the Holy Spirit will step out and as a result of a Godless world "all Hell will break out on earth". At the end of the Great Tribulation, Christ will return in Divine Judgment to destroy the Antichrist with wrath and fire.
A prophetic picture of the world - is and has always has been a godless social system ruled and governed by the powers of darkness. The Prince of this godless world, the Antichrist is a figure governed and ruled under the powers of Satan's dominion. Scriptures teach Satan is the god of this world or "age" (which means a period of time in the Greek text).
2 Cor. 4:4...In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
During the 3 years of Christ's earthly ministry both the King and Kingdom message presented to Israel were rejected. This made it necessary within God's plan for Christ to go to the cross and be resurrected. As a result of Israel's rejection of the King and Kingdom - Christ openly pronounced Judgment upon - the prince of the world.
John 12:31...Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
John 14:30...Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
John 16:11...Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
In the overall plan of God the prince of the world is always linked under the influences Satan and all his demons. The Prince of the power of the air is merely an influence from the powers of darkness that work in the children of disobedience in this present age.
Ephesians 2:2...Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
From a prophetic perspective in Daniel's prophecy we have two Princes mentioned. One being the Messiah and another being the future Antichrist. You will find the distinction when the subject is examined closely. It is written the people of the Prince would "destroy" the Temple. Who are the people that opposed Israel? The Gentile world/Romans that destroyed the Jewish temple in 70 AD. All contained within prophetic Biblical truth.
In Daniel's 70 week prophecy we find these profound words inside one of the most important prophetic truths of the Bible.
Daniel 9:24-28...Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
After the rejection of Christ the King and the promised Kingdom...Christ pronounced Judgment upon the Jewish temple. Daniel's prophetic statement was fulfilled when the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD - by the people of the prince. Jesus foretold and confirmed Daniel's prophecy as written in Matthew 24.
Matthew 24:2...And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down
In the destruction of the Temple during 70 AD - Approx. 1.8 million Jews were killed. The Prince the world was behind that tragedy just like Antichrists exist now; as well as in the future.
1 John 2:18...Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists;
Thank God the prince of the world will finally be destroyed by the Christ of our Salvation. This climatic event will happen after at the end of the Great Tribulation.
2 Thess. 2:8...And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
Jesus is Lord and the Prince of peace.

Psalm 23 - a prophetic utterance
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Like a shepherd God took care of His son Jesus during the earthly ministry; like a shepherd He'll take care of you now in the body of Christ)
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. (Christ had perfect peace in His heart for 33 years - Christians have the same peace on Earth)
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. (Christ was born of a virgin and clothed with humanity, He was without spot and sinless. Those who accept Christ are restored and led by the Spirit)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Christ endured hardships and died a miserable death of crucifixion, but the authority of God was behind Him every step of the way. Jesus was confident and trusted the Father in every adverse situation He encountered. The Rod and staff represent authority)
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. (Oil represents God's ownership. Jesus was anointed of God with the Holy Spirit and became a High priest after the order of Melchizedek. When you are God's property nothing can harm you)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. (God's mercy works through His ministers; Jesus was eternal and so is the child of God)

Fresh in Christ, fresh in the Word, and fresh in the Spirit
Stale faith leads to drifting away from Christ over the course of life. Lack of learning, hearing, or being taught God's Word causes faith to weaken or to be slighted. Vulnerability to world, the flesh, and or the Devil can persist to the point of losing faith, or failing Christ.
There is a better life by staying fresh and conscious to the presence of Christ. The better life is accompanied by learning and growing in knowledge through the truth of God's Word. Keep God's Word fresh and alive in your soul and life. The better life is to stay fresh and vibrant in the Spirit every day of your life...maybe the prayer of thanksgiving at mealtime.
Fresh in Christ throughout you whole life, daily, and even hourly. Fresh Christianity. Fresh walk with God. Fresh truth to build faith in. Fresh and vibrant with effectual meaning. No turning back. Ashamed of the old life and the old man. Freshness keeps things from going stale or stagnant.
Staying fresh in the Word allows you to realize the affect that the Spirit of God has on men of faith. Freshness is the secret to being an overcomer. Freshness is the secret to remain strong in the faith. Freshness is what makes men immovable, steadfast, rooted, and grounded in Christ. Every day Christ should be fresh and real to your thinking. Every day the Word should have an affect on your soul and life. Every day your walk in the Spirit should be fresh and strong.
Christianity should be as fresh after 15-20 years as it was the day you got saved. Realization of forgiveness of sins at Salvation should be a conscious way of life. These things keep everything fresh and true.

A preacher’s comment about Eternal Security
Eternal security comes to man when he keeps his faith in Christ. Christians are kept by the power of God through faith...
A faithful man is obedient to Christ because he has a holy heart and a new nature. When man loses faith… he becomes disobedient to God because the unholy nature rules. A disobedient man is not a faithful man...he no longer has a holy heart. He has an unholy heart ...The Bible says without holiness no man shall see the Lord. The Bible says be ye holy as I am holy thus sayeth the Lord. The Bible says we are to be holy and without blame before Him in love...The holy heart is the outflow of Calvary in the heart of a believer.
Obedient men have Eternal Security...with the heart man believeth unto righteousness
Disobedient men have Eternal damnation…and the wrath of God is upon the children of disobedience.
Can a man lose his Eternal Security? YES! How? When he loses his faith! Can he regain Eternal Security? Yes, but not with a life of disobedience! Obedience springs from faith...without faith it is impossible to please God. Obedience is the outflow of Calvary in the heart of a believer in Christ.
…In light of Calvary, (I quote Brother Lindsey)
A faithful man cannot be unfaithful and still be a faithful man.
A sober man cannot be a sober man if he drinks...
A truthful man cannot be a truthful man and tell a lie...
An honest man cannot be an honest man and steal...
A true Christian cannot be a true Christian if he sins...
Only true Christians have Eternal Security.
True Christians keep Christ in memory...lest they believe in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
Show me a man that's obedient and I'll show you a man that has Christ in his heart.
Show me a man that's disobedient and I'll show you a man that's an unbeliever.
John's Revelation tells where all unbelievers end up and that's Hell...Heavens for true Christians.
The Bible calls true Christians... Holy brethren and partakers of the Heavenly call...
The key to Eternal Security is the holy heart,
The key to the holy heart is keeping faith in Christ,
Lose faith in Christ become unfaithful,
Become unfaithful to Christ lose your Eternal Security.

Spiritual warfare - in the hands of Christ
Don't be bound. Let the hand of Christ handle your outer conflicts and spiritual battles. The child of God is automatically blessed with this benefit. The "authority of Christ" shadows over the child of God without asking. Reason? Spirit connection is made with God through the Holy Spirit's presence. You are God's ownership and property. Demonic influence and Devils are subject to His property - which is under the authority of Christ. Demons flee as the supremacy of Christ abounds with "all power and dominion".
Eph 1:20-22...Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come, And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
The weapon? The presence of Christ our Lord, the head of all things. The Biblical word head... simply means, authority. The weapons of our outer conflicts in life are not carnal or something we should handle ourselves. Our weapons are mighty because of the power and presence of Christ - to the pulling down of strongholds.
2 Cor 10:3-4...For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Christ is the only authority in the child of God's life. Not the believer himself. Scriptures teach - Devils and demons believe in Him...but tremble.
James 2:19...the devils also believe, and tremble.
Afflictions and persecutions come - but out of them all the Lord delivers. God takes care of His children.
Ps 34:19...Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
2 Tim 3:11...Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Wrestle not! Struggle not! You are clothed with the "Full armor of God" because you are saved and sanctified. The hand of God is upon you. Don't get yourself entangled with the affairs of this life which cause men to struggle. Endure hardness as a good soldier. He is mighty - He loves you - and He will take care of you.
2 Tim 2:3-4... Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Soldiers (members of the body of Christ) are supported by the - Head (the one in authority) which is the person of Christ. Christ is over you and omnipresent...even unto the end of the world.
Matt 28:20...lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Flesh and blood are helpless and powerless to Spiritual and demonic opposition. Christ is in control of your battles in life. Not us! The battles with spiritual wickedness in high places are His.
Eph 6:12-13...For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand
Not a burden for Christ. He never loses a battle. Trust Him to make you a winner. Trust His power and presence...not false teaching or opinions of men. You have His seal. You are clothed with His blessing. His glory "repels" demons. His authority says, "Go"...and demons leave...even before the day of Judgment.
Matthew 8: 29-32...And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said unto them, "Go".
They went because He is Lord! They recognized His authority. Judgement day is coming...but until then - All power is given to Him in Heaven and on Earth. Today, He has power over demons and scorpions. Today He has power over flesh and Spirit. Today He has power in the visible and invisible realms. Christ has power over all physical and spiritual forms. Warfare is Christ's . By faith in Him - Let Him handle your battles!
